@cassl14 I usually use it to make some boneless wings and it is pretty good. I also use it to cook up french fries and they are really good too. I really like my airfryer.
the first 10-20 times you use it it's a bit dry, then it gets a natural oil coating inside and is similar to a deep fry taste. Others on comments here have said to oil spray your meat or potatoes before they go inside instead of dry, adds more deep dry taste. still healthier than soaking in oil.
Sam was at 487K two days ago, picked up 8K more subs since then. Should hit 500K by Wednesday. Seems to be getting 3500 new subscribers a day. His cooking skill and good looks are finally paying off..

@@eggs2627 It is amazing. I got the philips one and it cooks so fast with little to no preheating. Gives crispy good results and you can make a lot of different foods with it. You will not regret buying it.
@@eggs2627 I really like it. Breaded some shrimp home made and they came out perfect. Also made crab cakes so far. Anything you can fry comes out really good and crispy and the cleanup is next to none compared to frying. I highly recommend it
These are sooo good. My grandson liked them so much, he asked me to make them for lunch. I only had some leftover chicken, so I used it. Now I use this recipe for many of our leftover meats. Works great with pork and even hamburgers. This is now one of my go-to quick meals. Thanks for the recipe and the inspiration.
I watch these in class and the girl who sits behind me was amazed. Absolutely stunned. I love your videos youre one of my cooking hero’s. Keep it up!!! From, youre biggest fan in Oklahoma
I was craving these and I didn’t wanna go to the store. Easy as ever to make. Thank you for saving me a lot of money as I will no longer spend 10 for 4 taquitos
I love your take on chunky guacamole. That's just the way I like it (but with a bit of garlic). And using the air fryer for the taquitos is brilliant. Thanks for bringing us great ideas 😋
Made these last night. Made about 20 of them. Family ate the first half up QUICK. Lol I made a 2nd batch of 10 and froze them without cooking them so they are ready to go for the air fryer or oven. Thanks Sam and Sons! -- SB
But flautas are made of corn tortillas. And flautas are more like elongated tacos dorados. These are just tacos dorados...but with flour tortillas. Source: Also Mexican.

Ok guys! So I actually made this last night and it did not disappoint. I don’t have an airfryer so I did it in the oven as he recommended and still came out great. Would recommend doing it on a rack or something because the bottom ended up being soggy but it was still super good. Guacamole was a hit. This feels like that movie “Julie and Julia” and I’m cooking my way through his recipes 🥘
Just made these tonight after watching the video this afternoon. We had to sub out Jansal Valley Chipotle Powder for the chipotle you used and we ran out of Monterey jack and used a little shredded pepper jack cheese. Next time I will cut the powder chipotle in half. But, this time everyone loved it as they turned red, sweaty, and had heat-induced sniffles. This just got added to our list of recipes to make. Thank you Sam!

Not quite ... It depends on the shape of the tortilla, not what it is made of. If you use a round one, it is a taco, if you use an oval one, it is a flauta. =)
I like the simple complimenting ingredients and fairly short cooking time as with the ease at which you present in making these type of dishes. This is one I'll definitely try, well I like them all but the simple sandwiches and dishes are more my speed.
A couple of ideas - suggestions: 1) How about some side dishes to go with your entrees? 2) A dish that can be prepared beforehand and simply cooked at dinner time? (For the working stiffs that watch your channel and want to come home to something already prepared or very easy to prepare.)
i have been air frying anything i put in a tortilla lately because after the first time the guys won't have it any other way. one thing i do is use slightly more oil than most, still far less than deep frying but it really makes a difference and my guys are insane for the results.
These are amazing Sam! Made them for the kids in our air fryer and they are hooked! I have forwarded this link to many friends.... and BTW made with low carb tortillas these are pretty keto/ paleo low carb yum! Thank you!
My daughters ADORE this recipe! We keep it low carb with the 4g tortillas. Amazing.:) we are going to attempt a ground beef version this week! Thank you!
I love making these but I’m going to try them with your filling mixture. Yum! I already know they will be good based on the ingredients. 🤤 Thanks again for another great video and recipe. I like your personality and cooking style!
Im making these tonight for dinner. The Cubano episode is great -- I already like cooking with the country style pork ribs but put that into the cuubano is easy and super tasty.
I make something similar with carnitas and make small chimichangas ,served same way. Excellent. If you want nice, chunky, pretty guacamole, slice the avocado in the shell, scoop out and Presto. Super fast and easy. I make guacamole just like this and serve on shredded lettuce as a guacamole salad. Yum.
Sam! Try making Salsa Verde from scratch. It’s so easy & WAY better than anything pre-made in a jar. This recipe comes from my hubby’s abuela 1) Boil 4-10 tomatillos and 1-3 Serrano peppers(depending on how much salsa you want) with half an onion in just enough water to cover them for 10 minutes or until tender with a fork. Don’t over boil until they fall apart! 2) Transfer boiled tomatillos, serrano peppers and onion to blender, add 1-2 cloves of fresh garlic, salt, cilantro and blend 3) Add small amount of water from pot if needed to thin to the consistency of your liking
Thank you for this content! I’m going to try this with corn tortillas and the chicken meat left over from making chicken broth with the chicken carcasses. ❤ yum!
My moms enchiladas.....4 Calif chiles....3 tomatillos 3 cloves two garlic cloves one cinnamon stick spoon of flour....cook everything except the flour ...one ce everything is soft blend and strain...two spoons of knor chicken broth and spoon with flour...put about 3 tablespoons of oil in a pain and when hot pour the sauce til it boils....get corn tortillas in a pan with oil then dip into sauce....fill in with fine diced yellow onions and Kraft or trader Joe's parmesan cheese and roll up and eat
Great looking recipe that I'm making tomorrow night. But Sam, have you forgotten your joint rolling skills?? Everybody knows you have to roll your stuff back far enough to tuck that leading edge UNDER, NOT let it fold back on itself! Thanks for the post...looks delicious.
I made this but turned into Enchilada type oven baked, didn't buy the small/mini tortillas so no way they'd fit in the air fryer. But was awesome!! That chicken filling and guac are awesome!

Agreed!!
@cassl14 I usually use it to make some boneless wings and it is pretty good. I also use it to cook up french fries and they are really good too. I really like my airfryer.
@cassl14 no problem!! It doesnt replicate the fried taste 100% but it does get the crispness.

Technically those are flautas due to the flour tortilla, taquitos are made with corn tortillas. Good yummy recipe btw.
Yeah definitely flautas.
Flauta’s w/ flour
Taquito’s w/ corn
