Chicken Taquitos
Ingredients:
2 cooked chicken breasts shredded, or chopped fine (I used a rotisserie chicken)
12 corn tortillas
Spray canola oil
Tomatillo salsa (recipe below)
Tomatillo Salsa:
5-6 tomatillos
2 jalapenos
½ of a medium yellow onion
¼-cup cilantro leaves
1 garlic clove
Juice of ½ of a lime
1-teaspoon salt
1 avocado
Directions:
1. Boil tomatillos for 5 minutes. Once cooled, add tomatillos, jalapenos, onion, cilantro, garlic, lime, salt, and avocado to a chopper, or blender. Combine until very smooth, and set aside.
2. Chop or shred two cooked chicken breasts (I used a rotisserie chicken it is a great hack!).
3. Put shredded/chopped chicken into a skillet along with ½ cup of tomatillo salsa, and combine until just warmed. Set aside.
4. Heat a skillet on medium high and spray with canola oil. Add one corn tortilla at a time and cook slightly, just until pliable. Put onto a plate with paper towels.
5. Preheat air fryer on 300, for ten minutes.
6. Roll each corn tortilla with a tablespoon (or more) of chicken mixture, and set onto a plate, seam side down.
7. Transfer rolled corn tortillas to the air fryer, seam side down, and cook for 20 minutes (I turned them over halfway through the cooking process, so they would cook evenly.
8. Transfer cooked taquitos to a plate and enjoy with tomatillo salsa!

Great thing about this channel, she doesn't fill the video with a bunch of fluff.
Thank you for the feedback! I needed to hear that. Thanks for watching!
I am very happy with the Cosori Air Fryer. It's the perfect size for the two of us. I like the fact there's very little oil being used - that helps with cooking a bit healthier ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB for the two of us. The biggest tip is do not put parchment paper - the pre-cuts are very nice - in the basket during the pre-heat setting. You will catch it on fire. Also use Avocado Oil if you're using oil. It has a high smoke point to it. UA-cam has been great with finding recipes for the Air Fryer.
I want one! Thanks for the information!
Hello ! I don’t want the people get confused. The tacos are made with corn tortillas, and you just fold the tortilla. The enchiladas or flautas are made also with corn tortillas and you roll up the tortilla. The burritos are only with flour tortillas. Now of course you can use flour tortillas or corn tortillas for quesadillas . I just wanted to specifying the basics of how to use the kind of tortillas for each meal, now that you like to use flour tortillas for tacos that’s another taste . Thank you for your recipe . 👍🤝
Thanks for offering your way of preparing taquitos and such!!
Love this recipe, the taquitos are awesome! They were moist inside and not dry like some taquitos are.
I'm so glad I found your channel. This is such a great recipe. Thank you
@@MEsqueda I am glad you found it as well! Let me know what you think of it!
This is just what I’ve been looking for, thanks!
Great! Thanks for watching!

You are amazing !! I’ve never made tomatillo but I will be tonight 😊
Thank you Jim! It is so yummy, your gonna love it!
Looks good!! I wanna try your recipe and sauce I’ve never made tomatillo sauce before
It is delicious! It makes the perfect addition to the chicken so that the taquitos are not dry. Thanks for watching!
Great looking recipe
Thanks Scott!
Flautas with flour tortillas 😮wow I have to try that, there is always a different way 😊
These are great for when you get together with family or friends!
These look delicious! I agree, frying things in oil always makes them too heavy for me toon
Yeah, they turned out great in the air fryer!
3:46, I made flautas and taquitos in the air fryer they were crunchy and delicious. Will make them in the air fryer from now on. Thank you, Had store bought guacamole verde.. maybe next time will make your recipe.
I love it! Let me know what you think of the salsa verde.
Nice gonna try LiKE
Had for lunch, you nailed it. Air fry worked awesome. Easy and crispy
Love new Mexican food
It’s definitely one of my favorites 😄
What air fryer do you prefer? If like to buy one but there are so many lol. Great channel and recipes thank you 😊
I use a brand called Cooks, and it has works beautifully. I would like a bigger one though.
Now line those in a pan. Cover with enchilada sauce sprinkle on some cheese and onions, wa la , you now have Enchiladas . SO Good
You can definitely do that! Thanks for watching!
Flatuas are made with either or it taste way better with corn
What temperature did you cook them at you left that out!
I am so sorry I am just seeing this. I cooked them at 375 degrees!
What kind of tortilla can I use? Any tortilla I buy always breaks!
Hello Mayra! I use yellow corn for taquitos because they are less likely to break. Also cooking them slightly to make them more pliable is helpful. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching 😁
Hello. The recipe looked yummy, but I didn't hear any crunch when you bit into the taquitos. I want to use my air fryer, but I don't want to lose the crunchiness of the tortilla. Is that just a matter of cooking time?
Thank you for your video. 😉
Yes, you can certainly adjust the time and lower the temp to make them crispier. Tag me on Instagram if you make this recipe!
Can I freeze them??
Yes. They will keep in the freezer for a couple of months.
Zelda tortilla picture on the refrigerator (hielera).
Thanks for watching!!
was wondering how they stay rolled up thanks a million
The filling is a little moist and that helps to hold them together. As well, when I place them in the pan, or air fryer, I lay them seam side down, it seals as it cooks. If you choose, you can use a toothpick to keep them together.
@@RedorGreen yes i had the toothpick trick in mind.thanks for the other option also.ill try it today with my leftover taco meat.
@@luisvelasquez2754 perfect! Please tag me on Instagram so I can see your taquitos!

I am sorry, I don’t understand your question.

I really want to fry mine tho 😭
Do it, no rules! Thanks for watching!
Well I think you are confuse, tacos, flautas and enchilada are made with corn tortillas , of course you can make quesadillas with corn or flour tortillas .
You forgot the we put lettuce, sour cream, cheese and salsa.
Yes, I think everyone has some different version or idea of what goes with what, but that is the beauty. Thank you for watching!
L
You are wrong flautas are made with corn tortillas and potatoes
Huh, maybe it is dependent on where you live?
Great and simple recipe, the best is that you have short nails! 🤷🏻♀️It’s sickening to see others cooking with long nails🤮🤮🤮
PRO TIP: "Air Fryer" should have been mentioned in the title. Stopped watching at 2:35 with a BIG thumb's down vote.
That is a good point. Thank you for the feedback. It helps us to grow and improve.
@Drew C I wanted to congratulate you on posting the most ape throwing it's poo at the wall because it didn't get a banana comment I've ever seen on UA-cam! 👏👏👏👏
@@RedorGreen Thanks for the reply. Didn't expect it. Here's what's up. You (probably unknowingly) are doing what's called "Click Bait" here on YT. If, e.g., a person does not have an air fryer, then we (probably a lot of people) have clicked on your video only to find out 2 minutes in that you are using an air fryer.
If you type in the general one-word "Taquitos" into the search, you'll notice that one of the most popular cooks here puts into his title "Taquitos using an Air Fryer" so that people with an air fryer will click, and people without one will not. This is important here. Otherwise, this is called click-bait. (Some) video authors on here are notorious for using this technique, and inevitably harshly attacked in their comments for doing it (they don't last long on UA-cam as so-called 'UA-camrs.')
It seems that this did not occur to you, so yes, it is good I left my comment, as what happens in these instances are that people looking for recipes literally do not waste their moments in life with empty content wishing we had those minutes back since time always ticks until the end of life itself.
And finally, to the Ape comment (which the author will get a Notif on) a small adjustment is needed in your wording. It's "its" not "it's."
And if you think my comment is that bad, you haven't been around long enough to see truly attacking, assaulting and asinine replies from morons and imbeciles here on YT.
My reply was true and correct - and now fully explained to the video author, as to make her learn, grow and become more aware. Why? Because a title to a video matters... A lot.
I used pork roast from crack pot (so Juicy) 25 calorie corn tortillas preheat my insignia air fryer put in for 10 minutes but 8 minutes at 400 degree was good enough
Outside was crunchy and inside was juicy thanks for making me realize I can make different variety of food on my air fryer
Awesome!! I am going to try some pork taquitos!
