It was so delicious; the flavors are insane and crunch on the tacos was amazing! You definitely make it look easy, it took me almost 3 hours in total, but even still it was worth it.

We don't fry THAT often, but our family always saves the bottle it came in. When the oil is used and entirely cooled, funnel goes in the bottle, and oil is poured back into the bottle. I could recommend a spicy salsa we use here in Ensenada which is made solely of dried chiles and a bit of tomato: the chiles are called "pico de pájaro" and we often ask for the more piquant variety, you boil them for 5 min, let them rest for another 10 min and puree them with just a bit of the water, a bit of olive oil, a bit of white vinegar or apple vinegar and salt. Appart you boil a three big tomatoes as red and ripe as possible (optional: broil them or char them) and puree them, add a bit of the chile sauce to make it as piquant as you want to. The chile sauce can be used as is.

In Mexico taquitos are the very small corn tortillas, served as regular tacos. Flautas are both rolled, corn and flour. They are called flautas (flutes) because that's what they look like 😉 that's in Mexico though, USA names things differently however.
The way I was always told, Corn tortilla- Taquito Flour tortilla- Flauta I'll see your "This is the way" & raise you an "I find your lack of Green Chilis disturbing"!

Making this tonight w my left over shredded beef! So excited! Thank you for the inspiration! ❤️👏🏻
Sam, this is the first video I watched of yours. I watched this yesterday morning (3/8/24) and decided to try it for supper last night. OMG!! What a delicious meal it was! My wife, son and I immediately said this needs to added to our meal rotation. I followed your video precisely and was blown away. Thank you and I am now a follower.
I thought Taquitos were made with corn tortillas and Flautas were made with flour tortillas. No biggie, these look amazeballs! male taquitos? but I like it too!
YUP
In Mexico taquitos are the very small corn tortillas, served as regular tacos. Flautas are both rolled, corn and flour. They are called flautas (flutes) because that's what they look like 😉 that's in Mexico though, USA names things differently however.
“Manual release of the meat or it will be a rock, then we crema ” 😂🤣😂
Sam, I’m in Orange County, I’m on my way down to SD now, I’ll take an order of a dozen to go…
Just go to a taco shop in SD...get those 12 rolls
@@vicdog619 if I was going to do it that way, I’d just stay at home and have postmates deliver them, and save myself the 50 mile trip. I want sam’s
@@msimcox2 good point
Sam so simple and the moisture of the beef in its own juices , plain and simple..
I love the dynamics between Sam, Max and Chance. They’re all so funny and obviously are having fun doing what they do. I wish I was good enough lol.
This guy needs a Travel Channel show
He’s better than that
@@EricPetersen2922 true. But it would definitely be cool to see a show with him
He's had multiple shows in the past, and won awards for them too. Not sure if they're easy to find though.
Oh my that looks SO GOOD, truly hating the universe for making me allergic to avocados 😰
"This is they way" apparently hes mandalorian now
I just made this tonight. My sons and cousin were just blown away. I was too, I was too...simply awesome!
I love the h3 call out in the beginning of the video. Peace and love.
The way I was always told,
Corn tortilla- Taquito
Flour tortilla- Flauta
I'll see your "This is the way" & raise you an
"I find your lack of Green Chilis disturbing"!
Interesting. Is that true? Have I been crazy all this time?
Basically always thought they were the same thing!!
Never had a restaurant made taquito but I order flautas often
This is very correct!
Nope corn rolled= Flautas, Flour rolled =Chimichangas!
@@cathytolnay1310 no its not
@@kiss196161 How Cute! You trying to correct someone being COMPLETELY wrong! A Chimichanga is a Fried Burrito......NOT a rolled Taco!
FYSA, your flag shirt that I assume is reassembling the US flag, is missing a stripe (13 colonies)... and it should be a white stripe that is next to the bottom of your star square. Hence where Red, White, and Blue come from.
Shush
Disappointed that you didn’t pour the beef broth back on at the end
No one wants a soggy taco… Except for ur mom
Nah that would be gross and soggy. Maybe fitting for some French cuisine.
I will be using the left over juices for rice.
Added to list of things to make! Gotta try this one. Haven't done Taquitos in a long time.
I am going to make this for sure! Thx fir showing us how to make avocado cream!
If you want someone to know you’re NOT from SD, you say Taquitos.
💯
Everyone knows South Dakotans say Taquitos
@@rhekman 😂😂😂😂
605 baby!
Taquitos are made with corn tortillas, these are flautas. Coming from a Hispanic LA native.
Isn’t using flour tortillas rolled up called flautas?
No, flautas are made with corn tortillas ( traditionally ). I would never make with flour tortillas.
Sorry to sound dumb but at the restaurant we have here they use flour tortillas & call them flautas, go figure “tomato tomato” heh if they taste good I don’t care what they’re called, lol
@@sherieclifford9983 oh man, you're not dumb. Traditionally they are made with corn, but that doesn't make them wrong. I have had them made with flour before when I lived in Northern Virginia lol but being a Hispanic and growing up, I am use to using traditional ingredients and I prefer corn tortillas but honestly I'd still eat them with flour lol.. but all recipes can be tweaked, I mean does it really matter if it's delicious.
Sam: Annnd we're using iceberg lettuce, why Max?
Max: cause you're gross.
Just made these tonight! Huge hit with the fam! Thanks!
Yummy! I will be making these this coming weekend! Thanks for sharing!
