Nice to see what others do before and after work! I graduated last summer and have been working in big tech. It really shows that everyone kinda does the same thing in life. Love how simple life is.
Great video, currently learning how to code and become a software engineer. Wanting to become one because I’ve been coding since age 7 and i find so much joy in figuring out probelsma and having fun.
So cool to see how the other side lives and works. Im a pharmacy tech at Walmart studying computer science and hope to one day be working on all the behind the scenes stuff too
Hey Brian! There are a lot of government tech jobs already, but there is definitely a rise in big tech here. I know in Reston, VA there is a Google, Microsoft, and Oracle office. In Arlington, VA there is Amazon HQ. In DC, FB also has an office!
As a full stack engineer it’s not bad to have more scope of knowledge in the backend framework your team is using as well, but being a software engineer is learning on the spot and how well you can google things up you know?! haha
How would you rate WLB, happiness with your career? I’m about 3 years into my degree and I just feel like being in front of a computer for all day can be a little depressing. Money and all is good, but I was curious how you feel and if you plan to stay as a SWE or move into something else in the future?
Well WLB is all subjective to what you’re passionate about right? If you enjoy what you do 50-60 hrs could be okay. For me, I’d say being a SWE is a platform for bigger and better things, but it’s not something I am looking to do for over 10 years.
Amazing and inspirational video! Hi, this is Mr. Ali Raza from Pakistan. I am a teacher in Public Sector. But I have done BS Computer Science. I think, I am a struggler in programming. I need to seek few pieces of advice from you. What line of action did you pick to get this position. I am also looking forward to getting hired in NY or Canada or any other place. But can you guide me how to practice and what to practice getting this sort of position the way you are working at the moment.
I was actually curious about how you reached the position you're in. I'm graduating in a month with a BS in Computer Science and I am personally very interested in pursuing a SWE career. That being said, a lot of references seem to be pessimistic about the amount of opportunities available and the chances of people getting these positions, especially with the rise of AI capability. How did you reach the position you're in, in other words, was it all about getting the best grades in school, did you work on multiple projects, or have you had multiple internship experiences? I am very curious to learn about the effort put into obtaining the opportunity to work for such a large company.
I go to my grandparent’s house since their house is close by and I installed a charger there or I go to super charger or if I’m at the office there is free charging available there!
It was a nice video. The music was a bit too loud tho. If it wasn't for me wearing headphones it would've been harder to understand what you were saying.
The interview consist of a OA, take home project & explanation of the project with interviewer, and then a technical + behavioral interview. Technical question was a leetcode medium!!
There is a path to continue your engineer career as a SWE or at a certain point you can go on the managerial path. Either direction isn't bad, but there are more ranks that starts opening up for the managerial position. For the engineering path it only goes as far as a Distinguished Engineer at Walmart.
Wow…wake up, brush teeth, go to gym, do your job, eat, casually flex your Tesla. This is some next level content right here. Thanks for adding “in dc” we wouldn’t have noticed that insane detail.
@@ijasdeen3809 haha I actually gained some weight but trying to cut down. It's honestly about controlling what you eat and how active you are outside of work/on-screen.
@@ajkoo52 Try bare-footed squats. The best position for your feet is either completely flat or with heel elevated. In this sort of "running" shoes you maintain neither of them. Nevertheless, great video. I ve been recently considering getting into entry it job and that's how I found your channel.
great video, I have been interested in SWE and am going to try to put my head down for a while and do FreeCodeCamp. Did you do FreeCodeCamp or another similar online coding learning? Is it worth it or should I start another way?

haha I like wearing the caps so not really!!
Good and genuine content, you have a new sub! ❤
Hahah did not expect that teddy bear PJ 🧸
Do you live in DC or Nova, and what do you think about the increase in big tech presence in the area?
Hey Brian! There are a lot of government tech jobs already, but there is definitely a rise in big tech here. I know in Reston, VA there is a Google, Microsoft, and Oracle office. In Arlington, VA there is Amazon HQ. In DC, FB also has an office!
Hey, great video. You should be using shoes with a flat sole when deadpressing to avoid injuries!
AJ is it a must you know much of backend when it comes to fullstack cause i feel HTML5,CSS,JavaScript and Rect as a framework may just be ok to go 😀

Hey Sahil, the plan is to respond to this in my upcoming video! Thanks for this question :)
yo my guy, what monitor are you using on the side? The aspect ratio looks insane
Both are LG displays! One you are probably asking about is the 16:18 display monitor!!
Hello, can you tell me the number of inches of your pc screens that you use?
Hey Mohamed! In a coming video I will share some of the accessories I use for work!

I charge it at free charging stations nearby, at the office, superchargers, or at my grandparents!!
