I totally agree with the 80/20 rule. Focusing on the work instead of worrying about time does somewhat align with the Agile Methodology I'm doing at my Software Engineering Internship and it makes work very productive.
Correct, I tried Time Management by learning from UA-camrs and realized it was not my way. Then I made a Task Management method for myself. I am glad there are people like me who don't fit in Time Management ideas.

First of all, congratulations! For me, the transition is primarily about mindset. In college, we are guided by professors with external structures. But in professional world, self-motivation is important. Take ownership of your tasks, be proactive in seeking opportunities, and embrace constructive feedbacks.

Software engineers are overpaid , but compared to how much the company makes, underpaid. Youll try to argue the cost of living , and we will just tbrow in the fact that brining more tech to any area drove up the cost of living. So essentially, anyone who works in the industry is responsible .

I did both. Some nights were self education and some were hobbies/relaxation. It's important to maintain a balance.
