What a beautiful country! Kudos from Brazil
India
Brasil na área.
I remember when I was working as a call center agent it's always nice to have friends/ buddies in work! really missed those days very good vlog!
the most realistic day of a software engineer:))) with a lot of coffee and coding. not like some funny dudes from Google or Facebook just roam around the office for fun and then join the meetings :)))
18:47 describes living in Switzerland perfectly :)
Mi fa piacere che nonostante tutto sei riuscito a fare ciò che hai sempre amato
Very good video! I really liked the tranquility to check emails during your trip to the office, that alone would make my day.
I am from Argentina and here public transport is completely stressful.
Don't worry, Milei will take care of that among other things if he is elected as President 👍🤞🙏
this is awesome, gives me chills. KEEP IT UP, one day I might be in Switzerland.
Great video. Love the workspace and the city!
Super intéressant ! Je vais continuer à regarder tes vidéos.
En tout cas, le toboggan dans les bureaux sympa !
I love your office, the whole video is lovely thanks for sharing 😊
What a beautiful place!

Wow, so why not in Colombia parcero? Good luck reaching Switzerland 👍
What kind of SE are you?
@@guilleport
Because Colombia is a poor country and lacks opportunity for their citizens
I just loved this simple but amazing vlog.
The commute is crazy!!
nice to see this old way of working! Long life to remote work! 😎
I am also searching for remote job ,how can i get a remote job??
It’s quite interesting to watch vlogs - software developers or anyone associated with programming. Although you don’t understand what they write because you don’t know the language, it’s interesting!
wow! That tree is amazing !!!
Sehr interessant, vielen Dank fürs mitnehmen. Beste Grüße aus Hamburg.

Yes correct 👍🏻

Your vlogs are amazing, brother. I am going to study as a freshman in university in 2024. I was practicing math while watching your vlogs. I also want to be software engineer.
Thanks a lot for your kind comment 🙂
You are welcome ,brother.🥰@@daniellaerachannel
Amazing Work culture and beautiful city bro you are living in maximum people dream life. Also the vlog you nailed in it.
Btw on which web technologies you are working in java?? any suggestion for me which technologies i can learn?
As a student it will help me❤.
Cool video man! I am interested about something, if you wanted to work from any of those sofas because you feel more comfortable and can focus more than in the desks or whatever, you could? Or on your working hours you should be always or most of the time in the table they gave you?
Its up to you. U can reserve also sofas and work from them during working hours
@@daniellaerachannel Oh that is really nice.
bro, gotham! I used to work there whenever there is a team building in the company. you probably heard of batmaid. ;) I remember the whole building was just a bare space in 2017. ftw.
Edit: Batman is still there! :D
yo tobey maguire is now a software engineer? Man can truly do everything

Hi Daniel,
Hope you are well.
I've got very excited when I saw this video and realised it was recorder in city of Lausanne.
I am moving there this October, I am a Web Developer as well.
Looking for a job in Switzerland now.
Would you have maybe any advice for me how to find a job as a Web Dev over there or could help in any other way?
Literally anything helps!
Thanks a lot!
My best,
David
Hey buddy so glad you landed on my video and appreciated it. Swiss market is so damn full of opportunities so just take your chance and seize the opportunity you find. There are tons of companies recruiting for full stack devs or backend or front. Don’t be afraid to make opportunities to happen and be active on LinkedIn is the best way. Hope it will help and I wish all the best!
@@daniellaerachannel thank you very much, I appreciate you took your time to respond. Keep your fingers crossed for me :D
Have a great one!
Looks great! How far is your home from the office? Is it expensive to maintain a car there?
Having a car is a bit expensive especially big ones but it depends also the usage. I prefer having a train subscription that way I can travel in Switzerland without limit.
Hello Daniel, I greatly enjoy watching your videos, as living a life like yours, working as a Software Engineer in Switzerland, is my dream. Could you provide me with some details about what it feels like to work in your office, as well as the language you use in your office on a daily basis?
I'm a full-stack engineer and I daily use a current popular stack Java Angular and other tools; it feels great to work in Gotham WS! glad you liked it.
@@daniellaerachannelSir, How can someone get a job in Switzerland.
Updated content will arrive soon
mmm... im in stun, where is the work in general ? i saw only coffe, snacks and chilling...
Hey do your company sponsor work visa for non EU citizens?
Amazing vlog :)
What kind of keyboard is that? Looked pretty comfortable and neat!
Logitech MX keys mini ☺️
Do you ever see the Batman? In Gotham...!
Just kidding, beautiful country!
Brother for Future Which One we Should Learn Flutter or Kotline I'm Student I'm confuse
I'm a software engineer in the US with a good amount of experiencea and a degree and am dying to move to Switzerland, but the chances of finding a job willing to sponsor a visa seem impossible, and finding a company that has a Swiss presence that is hiring here in the US also seems impossible.
Sir, can we connect on Linked In? I need your help.
what time do you usually need to come to work?6:00am train seems really early lol
Sometimes I take the train at 7:30 for being in workspace at 8:30. That morning you saw was particular for taking video shooting since in the early morning there aren’t too much people around
Show the life of a software engineer with two small kids working from home .Believe me it is totally different.
I can only imagine
2:02 almost in Gotham City 🦇
5:00 they actually had batman there.
Bro you r living my life 😊 ,im new here n I really loved ur videos so count me has ur new subscriber ...
Thanks 😊 I appreciate your support
Hey, what is the watch model you are wearing? looks nice
IWatch 7 ☺️
Really a great video!!
glad u liked it!
Bro please tell me what Is easy and fastest way to get swiss citizenship
Thanks for the video! Is it typical for Switzerland to have all-male developer teams?
No I don’t think so. It’s just a coincidence that our team is composed by only men. For the moment the recruitment process is struggling finding both man and women
Wake up at 5 am and start to code at 10am... :(
Do we have any vacancy for vlsi semiconductor field in switzerland?
Nice video! I used to travel to Switzerland (from NL) quite often to visit my girlfriend in Zurich. The SBB tram/train network came in very handy.
I saw that your code was related to smart contracts. Do you work in the blockchain space?
Aww no it’s just related to electronic qualified signature but nothing with blockchain. My team knows that it’s a pretty confusing name but it works for what we have to do. 😀 glad you liked Switzerland
So gotham wasn't a joke
is marko youtuber is on your offixe
can you give us a range of how much you able to save per month ?
It feels good as an Indian that even Swiss people like Indian food
People all over the world love Indian food ! It’s delicious 🤤 (Greetings from Scandinavia!)
@@Heyfrendoo Thank you so much
We love Indian food :) but for work please stay in your India no come here please no jobs for you 😂
As a Pakistani yes it feels so good because we have same food and Biryani is my favorite
I like rice and curry, and I hurry hurry hurry when I eat my rice and curry.
Was hast du gemacht bro nur essen und trinken nicht mehr 😂😂
Cold you recommend an AOC monitor for home desktop?
I have to be honest. It’s becoming hard to answer. I’m also a huge fan of AOC/Dell and other compatible monitors for MacBook Pro. But at the same time I have the feeling that apple is pushing and forcing end users to buy apple monitors which have really expensive prices and that’s why there are more and more compatible issues with apple device and resolutions and also very hard to find at 4k simple resolution unless you buy 2k or native resolutions. But AOC is a great monitor for its price and accessories
@daniellaerachannel definitely, aggressive Apple marketing makes you think about some things. But at the moment I’m more using the Dell Precision i7 laptop and im gonna choose an extra monitor, my attention between Philips and Aoc, but anyway Dell monitors so good as well but a little bit expensive
Hi FROM 🇵🇭
auto sub
what monitors are you using at your company?
AOC :)
How to get a job there. Still struggling in India
Awesome video! I'm a computer science student and i go to university almost daily. I like the big size of 16" and i'm currently using a 15.6" windows laptop. Would you recommend 16" or the 14"? Weight is not a problem for me. Thank you
16 inches is the best because using it as a second screen 😉
@@daniellaerachannel is it good for working outside in a coffe shop or smth? I saw some comments that it does not fit tables but i think it is exaggeration
It’s really up to you but 16 of course if you often stay in a coffee shop it could be a lit bit bigger. 14 for mobility it’s more convenient
@@daniellaerachannel okay thank you so much
don't fool your head, just pick lenovo legion7 - best laptop ever made
But is the company you work for called Gotham? Because Gotham is also a place in the UK and because I saw police cars with the text 'POLICE' on it I thought it was in England.
😆 Gotham is the name of the workspace
Hi
hope that company allows their workers do their job from home soon, such a waste of time commuting
This is inspiring. How to migrate or work there? I'm a java dev in PH.
There are a lot of opportunities in Switzerland for software engineers. Once your company get a contract for you then it’s quiet easy to land here and have a work permit
ph ? the hub?
@@bettercallsunny i think he meant Philippines
data scientist job opportunities in swiss?
Can i apply there for intern??
May I ask what MacBook are you using?
MacBook Pro M2 16. ✌️
What progamming language do you use it?
Mainly java ☺️
I see very less employee in your company, I can fill a Desk😅
is the german necessary for I find some job? Zurich
Not if you work in IT. Unless you want to work in insurance or health in Zurich. Cheers 🍻
Do you speak swiss? If not, is it normal to live there but only speak english? If it's not personal, what is average software engineer salary in Switzerland?
I actually live in the french part but Zurich for example speaks german swiss and so on... in my team we speak english because other colleagues don't speak french and other don't speak italian so we have a common professional language. Salary are higher in zurich but in french swiss are high as well; the average is between 90k and 150k depending on the experience. :)
@@daniellaerachannel is that in us dollars annually? How to migrate or work there? I'm a java dev in PH.
It’s more or less like dollar. The cost of life is high equally btw
i know that switzerland using 3 national language, like deutch, french, and italiy.. so which language do you use when working as programmer in switzerland ?.. can i work in switzerland only use english ??
In Switzerland, the language you should speak in a professional context can vary depending on the job field and the region:
1. **German**:
- German is the primary language used in business and industry in Switzerland, especially in the central and eastern regions. If you work in banking, manufacturing, or engineering, for example, you're more likely to use German.
2. **French**:
- In the western part of Switzerland, near the French-speaking region, French is commonly used in professional settings. This includes sectors like finance, hospitality, and international organizations.
3. **Italian**:
- If you work in the southern region of Ticino or are involved in businesses related to fashion and design, tourism, or finance in the Italian-speaking part, Italian is important.
4. **English**:
- English is widely used as a business language in multinational companies, finance, and the technology sector throughout Switzerland. It's often the lingua franca in international organizations and academia.
5. **Romansh**:
- Romansh is rarely used in professional contexts due to its limited number of speakers and geographic scope.
Keep in mind that many Swiss professionals are multilingual, and it's not uncommon for business meetings and communications to switch between languages based on the participants' preferences and the context. The language requirement for a specific job field will also depend on the nature of the work and the clientele it serves.
@@daniellaerachannelwhoah, thanks for replying with such details. I'm currently studying basic mern js and am very interested in working in Switzerland as a software developer, but I'm very confused about what language I should learn to work there. and thanks, I have information about that. now I will learn basic German and English to fluent level
btw new sub here sir, warm greetings from Indonesia 😁🙏
Nice content. I'm curious.. Can I get a job as a software developer in Switzerland just by speaking English? Or is it common that workplaces have german/french knowledge requirements?
Greetings from Sweden.
I’ll talk about that in the next video
@@daniellaerachannel Sounds good. It seems to me that you're commuting from Geneve to Lausanne? Am I correct?
