    The chances of getting over $50 in three hours is rare, so keep that in mind..I rarely make over $80.00 in 6 hours

    The thing I don't like about working for Doordash is that the customer's last name and phone number don't appear on the app, which makes it nearly impossible to stalk them after making the delivery.

    Signed up with UberEATS a few days ago and stumbled upon your channel today. Will try DD and PM as well. I really appreciate you sharing your experiences and your insights, all with a great attitude...and an awesome pair of sunglasses, haha! May I ask what brand??? I've learned a lot in just a few vids. Thanks again, and keep em coming.

    Hi just got approved for door dash - and find it challenging. The platform is so particular and you just can't get the area you want and a time slot at any given time. Unlike postmates there's no parameters. What do you suggest and how I can be on schedule to reserve my spot. In some way I feel that drivers are not having an equal opportunity.

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

      That is the main hurdle with DD, getting on the schedule. Best thing is to get those spots when they first become available

    Hi..great job on the earnings. ..and what a beautiful view! One question, Do you recommend taking the late night shifts from 9.30-11.00 p.m. even though it's mainly fast food and orders between $11-$14.00?

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +3

      I generally don't deliver those hours for a few reasons 1) it's not a mealtime so order volume is lower 2) the nicer restaurants with bigger orders (and bigger tips) close by 9:30 or 10 for the most part
      Having said that, I think it's possible to earn $11-$14 an hour almost anytime of day or night! :) Just be selective about the orders you accept...

      Hey Louie! I like delivering near where I live, which is in Santa Monica. That way, I can maximize my time and earn efficiently. Lately I have been doing mostly dinnertime and weekends. As far as parking, I never mess with parking illegally on the street, but use alleys and loading docks whenever I can. LA should be busy enough that you can earn anywhere, it might just mean positioning yourself near a cluster of good restaurants in your area. Use the Postmates customer app to see where the good higher-priced partner restaurants are near you, then set yourself up nearby to get orders! I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can provide anymore info :)

    I've been running postmates now for 1 month and I've only ever got one call to a steakhouse and the bill was 100+ tip was 21$ but most of my calls are fast food places from people ordering 2 things MAX. tips are usually 0.00 or less than what the delivery payout was. I don't know if I should filter out the fast food.. Or wait for the "big" orders to maximize tips. Would you say running both postmates and door dash is a hard thing? I live in OC I might consider working only in LA from now.

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

      Hey Teddy! Thanks for the great comment and sorry for not getting back to you sooner!
      I think you can definitely run PM and DD at the same time. I'm doing it right now while typing this comment, LOL. Just waiting for the right order. For me, I usually skip all coffee, fast food and grocery orders. Do you think you can stay busy enough without them? Plus the more apps you have going, the more opportunities you will have. What do you think?

    • @teddythodo3302
      @teddythodo3302 7 років тому +1

      Rideshare Genius is there any negative consequences for skipping and basically "filtering" the unwanted requests? And yes I have been running DD and PM at the same time. It's a little hectic but I usually get similar areas and close drop offs and pick ups. However, I had 1 pm and 1 DD that was 14 miles from each other. Talk about nerve wracking lol

    I think the reason you earn so many tips is your attitude, plus you are extremely handsome !!!!!

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +3

      LOL, attitude does help I'm sure. Thanks for watching, Sam! An interesting thing about DoorDash is the customer actually inputs the tip amount when they order BEFORE they get their food. I thought this was weird when I first started, but quickly realized it equates to good tips. Since the customer has already tipped, I do my best to make sure each order experience is great for the customer because I want to keep my rating high.

    so money wise, is it better to work for door dash or uber eats?

  • @DailyPayBootcamp
    @DailyPayBootcamp 7 років тому +3

    Is it not true that you get tipped before you even complete the order? I know they can give you cash tips obviously but that is never factored into the app itself. These means I can be a bad dasher and still get great tips but your rating can drop from their complaints after the fact.

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +9

      Yes, for DoorDash, customers tip when they order. I like to say "with great power comes great responsibility." As a driver, you're probably getting a nice tip, so it's important to do a good job. Bad dashers won't last because their ratings will drop too low

      I drive for DD and when I bring the customer extra things they didn't ask for and go out of my to give great customer service it does payoff sometimes. I've been doubled tipped a few times. They tip me 5$ on the app and then before I leave if they're stoked on the service, I've gotten lucky and got extra cash too. So I always just do my best.

    Talk about parking! My number 1 reason I don't go into santa Monica and LA. How's does that work with you?

  • @ericklein6097
    @ericklein6097 7 років тому +1

    Great video and information sir! I've been driving for Postmastes and DoorDash for a few months now in the Orange County area. Do you ever venture out to these areas or do you strictly stay in the Santa Monica area?

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому

      Thanks for stopping by, Eric! I stay in the West LA / Santa Monica / Brentwood area as much as I can. Sometimes I will end up in OC on an Uber or Lyft ride, but one thing I like about delivery is the ability to stay local. I feel like it's so much more flexible than driving passengers because no food delivery is going to LAX or on a 30-mile ride... How's your experience with PM and DD in OC?

    • @ericklein6097
      @ericklein6097 7 років тому +1

      I completely agree! I enjoy the food delivery so much more, and you're right delivering food to people is much more enjoyable than dropping people off. Driving in OC has been good and is a great source of second income. The only downfall I've experienced stems from OC being so spread out that each trip tends to be fairly lengthy. If I could cut down on driving distance, it would be perfect!

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому

      What are your favorite cities in OC to deliver in? Where do you have the most success?

    • @ericklein6097
      @ericklein6097 7 років тому +1

      I'm normally the busiest in Irvine/Tustin but have had some luck in South OC as well (Mission Viejo, Ladera Ranch etc.) However, I'm wanting to try out your theory in the Newport Beach area in the hopes of getting some high value deliveries to maximize my tips!

      I think it's worth a try! Other factors are involved too - ease parking and restaurant reliability of course. Let me know what you find!

      Rideshare Genius I really appreciate you. I'm in LA as well. I have to drive Lyft so much to cover this car haven't had a chance. Will definitely keep you posted. I guess I'm wondering when is the best time/days to work? I got on yesterday Lyft and Doordash were dead. Got two rides lol

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

      Sorry for not getting back to you yet! It is a slow time of year and will be slow for another couple weeks. So it's not gonna be easy, but you just gotta get out there and hustle. You should be able to get rides and deliveries almost any time of day, you just gotta be smart about where you position yourself. What areas are you usually close to or where do you like to drive?

  • @tarabrammer5391
    @tarabrammer5391 5 років тому

    Make sure they have a guaranteed wage in your area or dont bother. You can be scheduled and get no orders and make no momey

    You only get $5 per delivery? I'm not sure that will work in tampa cause the citizens here don't tip

  • @truththeoryknowledge833
    @truththeoryknowledge833 5 років тому

    In my opinion, making $105 in only 3 hours of work and 28 miles driven is excellent! However, tips are not constant so if you factor out tips, you really only made $40 in 3 hours of work and 28 miles driven which is subpar results if you consider that 1. You don’t receive employee benefits 2. You have to pay for various car expenses 3. You have to pay taxes and 4. You have to consider the depreciation of your vehicle. So unless you expect those tips to continue coming in, it’s not smart to make this your primary job.

    I make over a 100 in 3 hours ALL the time. Somedays I don't but I never average less than 17 bucks an hour. Ok Valentine's day I made 70 dollars in 40 minutes. But that was with a 7 dollar bonus. Work smart not hard!
