    (Production quality definitely ramping up, nice man)
    I would say Uber is in part the ultimate side hustle insofar as it rewards the hustle. Doing the market research that we commonly talk about, mastering these apps and having the drive to excel sets up success. If you can juggle multiple apps and master when each will peak you can develop a plan of attack and be in the top 5% of earners. Without this research, a lot of times people experience failure as you noted. Strictly talking about a side gig scenario, if we extend into full time workers there's another dialogue around that and if these apps fulfill that niche. As a side hustle however I feel that Uber, Lyft and others are great earnings opportunities when executed upon.

    So what happens if you get in an accident when you're driving an Uber vehicle and you become permanently disabled. Who's going to compensate you for your loss wages for the rest of your life?

    it sure is NOT in Harrisburg Pa!!! UBER has OVER SATURATRED this area with drivers that it is HARD to make 100/day. I used to make 150$+/day, (5 to 6 hours), back in 2015 when UBER started. NOT ANYMORE

      I hear you, Rick. Uber's model is based on saturation, if you think about it. Why wouldn't they want an available driver at every corner, just seconds away from picking up a happy customer? Right? Since there's no wage, they want as many drivers as possible. So that's why I flipped the game on them and signed up for as many other apps as possible. So now I only use Uber when it makes sense for me. I know there might not be other opportunities in Harrisburg, but do you guys have Lyft?

    So do you work as a private contractor as your sole source of income? Or do you have a primary job and work them on the side? I am curious to know if you can work the industry and survive comfortably with it while pursuing a flexible schedule for school.

      I think it all depends on what your expectations are. How much are you hoping to earn and what is your availability and location?

  • @jscooto
    @jscooto 7 років тому +1

    Uber and Lyft are great "side" hustles... key word being side. I can't think of a better legal way to make money on the side. The flexibility is to me what sets it apart from a typical part time job. I wouldn't know about doing it full time but I suspect it is possible but very rare for a driver to really thrive doing this as their main job.

    Can you do a video about Deliv?

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

      I started the signup process with Deliv a few years ago but the pay and obligations were such a joke that I never started working. On top of that, they asked me to pay $40 for the background check to work for their crappy company! Who does that? It's like they expected to get workers while investing literally $0 in each new driver.

    How many hours do you do uber and liyf a week? When do you start doing grub hub or uber eats?

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому

      It varies based on how busy things are. When it's busy, I try to drive a lot more. I started with GrubHub in January and first did UberEATS in 2015. Or do you mean what time of day?

    Ezra , what about taxes what about maintenance and upkeep on a vehicle tires oil cleaning supplies,
    what about accidents ?
    I have yet to see who bird actually pay out any money for any accident regardless of fault.
    how are you going to protect yourself what kind of insurance policy do you have,
    I'm not singling you out what I'm saying is the average Uber ride is 8 - $10 - their fees and all that stuff your left would like 4 to 6..
    at least in Las Vegas,
    I don't know anybody that can take care of a $30,000 vehicle on four to six dollars a ride,
    I'm not saying the platform isn't awesome ,
    but insurance and maintenance and taxes it's hard to pay all that stuff plus rent plus a car payment plus bills.... I really wish you'd make a video touching on this.
    I mean let's talk about the real side of life with Uber and Lyft

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

      I try to stress the burden of being an independent contractor in a lot of my videos. I also try to highlight the importance of avoiding those $4-6 jobs in favor of $20+ jobs. There are a lot more insurance options now. They vary by state, but here in California, State Farm has a great policy. Thank you for the feedback and I'll try to keep this in mind and discuss these things in a future vid

    why not drive a cab part time? im sure you'd make just as much maybe more

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  6 років тому

      +eldominicano217 I think there are more barriers to entry with driving a cab and maybe a minimum commitment of hours? Do you know anything about how it works?

    • @eldominicano217
      @eldominicano217 6 років тому

      Rideshare Genius yes im a cab driver in nyc, its not difficult to get a license here and you could rent a cab whenever. although i dont recommend renting a cab unless you plan to work at least 8 hours because you're paying a flat fee per shift...im sure theres a similar system in la

      Rideshare Genius anyways rideshare companies dont care what drivers make...they just want to saturate the market with drivers

    5* While it is impressive, Uber is far from the ultimate side hustle. - Ubr Jay
