Hi Danni and Joe. Well congrats on the new job. I have just had three and a half months apart from my wife. She is a Canadian by birth and went back last September to visit her family . I had to stay behind to look after our sick doggie who unfortunately passed away in January this year after developing an incurable genetic disease. We communicated on messenger and had face to face calls. I was ticking off the days until she flew back and I had a countdown calendar. The first few weeks dragged but suddenly it was halfway and then the weeks just flew by. She will be home again before you know it Joe. You have the best time of the year coming up. I had the countdown to the shortest day and the worst weather. It will be a great adventure Danni. Enjoy the experience. It will only strengthen your bond. Take care and Joe, keep us posted on here.

I was running along the towpath from Hemel to Kings Langley yesterday and thought I saw you but was too knackered to say hello. Mentioning cash only at Sainsburys on Saturday caught us out too! Next stretch along to Tring and beyond is truely lovely IMO

Hope it all goes well. Which channel island? I was born in Jersey. I love it. I am older now & would go back in a heartbeat, but I reckon you young ones would be bored to tears after 3 months, so I can't leave my grown kids behind, there's no way they'd go there with me to live lol
I am going to be on Jersey! Aw I don’t think I will be bored, I love exploring new places, I can get ferries to the other islands and St Malo so lots to keep me busy, especially coming into spring ☺️
Congratulations, I grew up in the channel islands just a word of warning though if your planning on going back and forth using Aurigny be prepared for expensive tickets and unreliability especially if your going to Alderney

I was contemplating buying a narrowboat just before the pandemic hit while working from Vietnam. Then the prices skyrocketed so am now living in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Peru. Wherever i am in the world i always find myself looking at narrowboat vlogs. Must be a sign.

just letting u know paddles are frequently raised at that lock to keep it empty due to leakage problems in the cottage I was told but maybe wrong, but they're always up there when I go through, exciting news for Danni , Joe you'll just have to concentrate on beer of the week more.

Your drone shots set your channel apart from the herd of riverboat content creators. I would have liked to have seen what the contents of the sauces were that you put on the beans and toast. The container labels were no shown to the camera. Oh well Hopefully next time.
