Brings to mind when Dad was in the US Navy and sent on deployments for 3 to 6 months at a time leaving Mom with 2 boys and a beagle for the duration. This internet age makes that kind of thing so much less isolating than the 1970s when Mom & Dad might be able to share 1 letter a month and maybe 1 radiotelephone call in the middle of the night during the whole deployment from Dad couldn't divulge where.

Yes, more hefty than a traditional dongle with a SIM card, but the Starlink premium gives peace of mind of always having a reliable signal. Continuous cruisers are well versed in the misery of dead spots or moorings with minimal connection. Starlink, at a premium, removes much of this concern of not having a reliable connection. If you're working from your boat, and cruising, then perhaps the premium of Starlink may be well worth the extra investment.

Cavaliers are really the best dogs. We had cavaliers for over 25 years lost our last one last November looking for another soon.
These are the only ones we’ve met and they’re so good!
