I've got a few recommendations from Gilmour's solo concerts, which are just as good: - Breakthrough (live with Richard Wright, 2002) - In Any Tongue (Pompeii 2016) - Fat Old Sun (Remember That Night, 2006) _ The Blue (Remember That Night, 2006) - Castellorizon/On An Island (Live in Gdansk, 2006)
Like the slight upward bend at the very end of the studio version of Great Gig in the Sky. Many people don't even notice it. I've never heard them speak of it. But from the first time I've heard it and still to this day, that quick thing seems to represent her spirit drifting up into the ether. Just this tiny little detail on an album with a million tiny little details. It's why we can keep listening to it and hearing it in different ways every time.
The Division Bell is a great album and I love this song. My favorite on the album is Poles Apart, but unfortunately the only live version on You Tube is someone's bootleg upload, but it's been remastered so sounds pretty good.
Oh wow! Good to know! I’m really appreciative of these pulse uploads because it allows me to enjoy it in the best format possible in 2024. Thanks for the comment!
Poles Apart is my favorite as well. I remember listening to it, had just turned 20, had the Division Bell poster that came with the CD I purchased. And I felt like I was having an out of body experience. No substances taken, on that day anyway!
Please react to 'Wearing the inside out' Pulse concert. It's one of the only songs that the late great Rick Wright is the lead vocal. Please react as a tribute to him and his invaluable contribution to the universe, that is, Pink floyd. May his God rest his soul 🙏 💔
I've always liked this song but I can see why they didn't include it in the Pulse video. Actually I'm not sure if they even ever performed it in front of an audience apart from this rehearsal but I'm not sure. There were several songs that were only performed once or a handful of times that didn't make it onto the official video. Marooned (which is their only work to have ever won a Grammy) performed in Norway, which brought tears to audience members because they tied it in with the whaling industry), What Do You Want From Me, Hey You, Astronomy Domine, On The Turning Away, Poles Apart, One Slip. Some of those were on the CD release of the concerts, others were released later officially from fan recordings, other fan videos can be viewed unofficially if you look for them. I think they did a good job of releasing the best on the concert video but I love all of them in different ways.
I’m so grateful I can view these videos just in general. It’s insane how well UA-cam is good at preserving history on many topics. Thank you so much for commenting and liking the video. It means a lot to me and I hope to see you around here more!🤙❤️
I wish they'd have included a finished, live recording of One Slip, On the Turning Away, Poles Apart, Marooned, and Lost For Words from the 1994 tour in the Later Years box set. The same goes for a live 1987 recording of Echoes from the Momentary Lapse tour, a remastered La Carerra video, and the complete Colours Of Infinity recordings David made. Those would have made it a complete box for me.
@@killbimu Keeping fingers (and toes) crossed you will react to, 'Take It Back' from the same concert, such a beautiful song and the harmonies from the girls is just gorgeous. All the best from the far north of New Zealand.
@@ianfortier5534 the Colors of Infinity thing, about fractals I believe, is great and yes I’ve only seen poor quality videos of it. The music he provided on that (as well as on the car racing thing) deserve their own remastered release
@@ianfortier5534 Somewhere back when I was collecting bootlegs I heard the Echoes they did in 87 but the sound quality was rough. When he (and RIchard) performed it that last time in Gdansk was just amazing. It can rightfully sit alongside the studio and Pompeii versions.
This performance is a true treasure.
It really is! I’m really happy somebody recommended this performance to me.

In any Tongue - Pompeii. You actually hear David’s guitar cry….
The standout there is "In Any Tongue". It's a must.
And now our feature presentation
Its the little things with Pink Floyd that end up being grandiose, that little note just after 4:55 mark

Greetings from Canada. Good to see you enjoy. Peace, love and bellbottoms.
So glad that you enjoyed this, its the acoustic guitar that makes it sound so mellow and nice.
At one time I was so into this music
At one time I was so into your music..... Trying to build build into my music...... But you went to trash to my music
Do not buy his music

Recommendation - Echoes (Remember That Night, 2006)
Pink Floyd -When the Tigers Broke Free (lyrics version). The song Roger Waters wrote about his father’s death in WWII.

Greetings from Cyprus. I suggest you to make a reaction from Pulse concert the songs, Run like hell, Us and Them and One of these Days.
Greetings! It’s so crazy how far videos can reach. Thanks for the suggestions and I’ll be sure to keep bringing you Floyd content!🫡🫶🏼
Basically: crap on Roger Waters, we are moving on. He reached out to him but got the FU
Questa canzone è sul rapporto conflittuale tra Gilmour ( ma pure Richard Wright) con Roger Waters

The Gods created the guitar to be placed into David Gilmore's hands.
