I adore your reference to the Regency era - your hair stood out in a fantastic way when I saw it at that point! "Glamourous grandmothers" is another favorite of mine. Although I am old enough to be a younger grandmother, I intend to keep my glam for the rest of my life! Great tips! I hope you're feeling better! I love the Regency Era. My favorite historical novels are set in that Era.
Adorable outfit. I remember the 50s and 60s. I miss the way everyone took especial care with their outside and town outfits. It was totally different eras.

So happy to see you back and feeling like yourself again. I love how you embrace your 1940's/50's style. I don't have a era specific style, I love to wear loose, lightweight dresses that come to mid calf or ankle length. It's kinda a gypsy/boho look. I'm 62 and go for comfort first since I'm a housewife but do dress up when I go out and wear a lot of empire waist long dresses.

I enjoy seeing your 40s and '50s outfits. I was born in 48 so I can remember some of those outfits that you have. Some of your pieces are similar to what I remember my mother wearing when I was young. You are adorable and I enjoy watching you very much. to the person who asked about not looking too aged in vintage: '40s/'50s/'60s teen styles are perfect for avoiding that! i do high ponytails with my bangs pin-curled, and a blouse with a full skirt. occasionally, i'll go full-bobby-soxer and do a rolled-down sock and tennis shoes, too. and i find that bright yellows and blues are very youthful :)
Yes ,how do we not look like old biddies when we dress vintage!I'm 40 and when I dress vintage I magically transform to looking 80 haha!!!heeeeellllpppppp!!!!xx
@@bronazlin4955 understanding your face shape when it comes to make-up and your hairstyle helps a lot. Getting things wrong can make you look older and like you're wearing a costume. Dress for your shape too. Slowly blending vintage style into your everyday wear can really help too

Hello love ! I've taken my 1950s inspiration from abandoned houses that are frozen it time. Blankets on every couch and chair and lots of glass. Trays platters bowls and lamps. I've added the things that every home had without being too cheeky.

When you were talking about potentially doing something merch-wise for Dining Through The Decades, I had a great idea…potentially. What about like commemorative plates? They were so popular once upon a time and would be very vintage looking while being a great collectors piece!
Something people outside NZ/AUS might not be aware of, nurses don't specialize in their initial training, allowing them to work in a variety of areas professionally. Some might choose to do additional training or work in a specific area, but it's not required. It makes our nurses well loved around the world for their versatility :)
I've just come out of hospital from my second knee replacement and I do have a very important surgical unit nursing tip for you.....when removing nerve blocks that are being a bit difficult.....wrapping it around your finger and yanking ISN'T the way forward. The rest of the nursing staff were just amazing and I'm so glad you are going into this job, I think you'll be marvelous.

Hi Sage, During World War II in the 1940s, my mother was a teenager and a twin sister. The two girls did not grow at the same pace and then you inherited all the clothes that could be made. and they had to save on trousers, Then their mother thought of sewing a ribbon like a very strong bow on the bottom so that the length could fit better. It became very modern when I was a teenager in 1973 and there, like today, you could buy strong bow ties that we sewed on and this was great because I don't have long legs either and when I cut off all the excess fabric the trousers fell nicer and not be so thick and heavy in the fall from the legs, and my legs seemed longer. It became a trend during the war between the people in their large city of Horsens here in Denmark and spread far and wide. Because I see that you fold yours up very wide, so maybe that was an idea you could use, A light blue ribbon here for cowboy jeans, possibly with some figure on it, like flowers, yes, it can be anything, there are very different things in the shops there seller for sewing clothes etc. You could start a trend again, it could be fun and I also think it will suit the vintage style. You have incredibly beautiful clothes and this style suits you wonderfully. Can't see you in a different style at all, You look like something out of old Hollywood movies🤩 and are a delight to the eye, Thanks for the lovely videos, have a good time Many hugs Maria from Denmark😊❤

My great niece is about the same place you are in nursing school her mum and keep her in good spirits by telling her what we experienced and what not to be scared of she enjoys that.
