agree. i had a similar discussion yesterday. i did not get spoiled on anything and even avoided the trailers so i enjoyed it a bit more since i was surprised with some of the plot points
+Danny F I still don't understand how the trailer ruined it for some people. People are too sensitive to spoilers, I guess. Spoilers never ruined a movie for me. That's stupid, if you ask me. And people who don't like spoilers and think it ruins a movie for them are weak minded, in my opinion.
+George Daugherty I think its about the experience of watching the movie for the first time and the thrill of the unknown. That is why people hate spoilers.

Ok so it's ok if Batman lights people on fire or straps bombs on to people in Batman Returns and blowing up a factory in The 89 Batman (Not to mention killing The Joker), but in Batman v Superman it's a problem?
That was almost 30 years ago. No one gives a shit about it now. Besides, everyone knows that the burton batman, while good, was absolutely nothing like the comments
What if, instead of a "fucking email" scene, we got brief scenes scattered throughout the film of Bruce Wayne conducting his own investigation on the Meta-Humans? Like, he was the one compiling all this info on the other Justice League members instead of someone at Lexcorp, and we would get quick shots of Bruce in the Batcave reviewing that security footage of the Flash or Cyborg being created, or maybe he was handed a report from Alfred that had Aquaman in it. Bruce could have come into possession of that photo of Wonder Woman as well. At first, because of the Superman/Zod battle, Batman's only concern was to keep tabs on other metahumans. But by the end of the film, he'd realize it'd be better to join these metahumans together so they can fight bigger threats like Doomsday or far worse beings out there in the universe.
Sadly the beginning was weak. I wish they would focus on making one movie a solid film instead of a muddled film that made me feel like I wasted money.
Are we really passing over the issue that Batman stops fighting Superman just because he said his mother's name?! And after that, they just become friends!? What happened to all the Batman's motivation to fight Superman in the first place?
That moment probably triggered Batman that it was all a set up and Superman was a human being too having a mother just how he did. Batman thought "I did what I did for the past 20+ years for justice for my parents ...and this guy is probably in the same position I am."
But what he saw in Metropolis wasn't a setup. Bruce Wayne's employees and all that people died, was because of the actions of Superman and Zod. That was the most important incentive for Batman to fight Superman. What happened to that?
+Akshay Bharwani , it was still there in my opinion but Batman probably and finally got the picture. He realized that he didn't mean to cause that mayhem. Poor writing indeed and they should have added some dialogue about the situation, makes others wonder "that's it? He stops just cause Batman realizes he has the same mothers name as Superman ?"
Superman came back to life because that how it originally was. His fight with doosmday ended up putting in a kind of near death state, its just follwing the comics, and if anyone has seen the animation where Superman and doomsday fight also known as Superman: Doomsday. They just followed the original.
The reason Superman/Clark had a problem with the Bat Vigilante is that, Batman is a Vigilante who thinks he is above the law and hurts those he hunted/attempted to stop with violence, which Superman/Clark does not agree with. That is why he would fight with Perry about writing the piece on Batman and how Gotham police and th city seem to condone his action which may not be fair to Superman since he keeps getting slammed all throughout Earth for what he has done or will do but yet it is okay for Batman to do this without any problems/complaints? I thought the movie did explain this but Lex kidnapping his mother pushed him to fight the Batman to save her but you can tell that Superman did not want to do it. However, with Batman so tired of Superman he had to fight and kill him to save humanity from the alien named Superman. At the end of the epic battle, Batman actually did change his way and evidence with not killing Superman or branding Lex Luthor in his own jail.
Why did Superman had to kill that man at the start of the film instead of the using his super speed to apprehend him? There's no way he survived that. I was also some-what upset that Batman was more like the Punisher with an armored cowl instead of being a masked vigilante with morals.

I really liked it. The optics were awesome, the soundstrack was too and the acting was nearly perfect. I like the dark DC movie style. Only the whole Doomsday story was kind of unnecassary. But Batman v Superman without the "Dawn of Justice" story was awesome.
Chris there is actually a scene where Alfred asks Bruce "new rules?" and Bruce responds callously with "we were always criminals Alfred". I actually liked that he murdered people and branded them because it gave Batman an arc. After Superman's death we see that he isn't the same Batman anymore. He regrets that he let Superman down by murdering people and he vows that he's not gonna do it again. That's why he didn't brand Luthor in the end. There are answers to these questions but some are just not mentioned properly and you have to figure it out yourself.
BvS might be an alright movie to watch once in cinemas, but unlike Avengers or the Dark Knight trilogy, it's not worthy enough for repeat viewings after bad word of mouth, which is why the box office for BvS will dip hugely in subsequent weeks.
Oh My God, that's exactly me and my friends opinion. I completely accept and understand the flaws but I just absolutely loved it, I am willing to overlook the flaws because I've rarely walked out of the theatre that happy
Me too. I have to eat humble pie because I hated man of steel and expected this to be dreadful. However, I was immersed and didn't care about any of these nitpicks. So what if Batman kills? It raises the stakes if we know he's capable of that
+RoboTurkeyNinja even then, 1 guy pulled the pin out of a grenade and it backfired on him and he killed himself, Another guy drove directly in to a gas tanker, not all but a lot of those are not his fault
Just as it was advertised, I feel like the first script was just gonna be Batman v Supermen, but it felt like they kept adding in more and more elements just to squeeze in the Justice League.
reviewasianfilms I don't like Man of Steel and I don't like Captain America 2, but I like THE CHARACTER of this Superman much better than Captain America, who's a pretty shitty character.
i really like the themes this movie brought up. i just wish they explored them more. i liked the first half thematically and loved the fight scenes. needed the second half to tie it together. also the editing annoyed me, where it would jump from story line to story line at important moments to the point where you stopped caring.
As a non DC/Marvel fanboy, it's kinda fun to watch all these spoiler videos before seeing it. love getting all the reactions, already watched stuckmann's non spoiler review, was waiting for this one, glad you guys are shooting it together! I am seeing it next week, I know I will enjoy it more, or at least be more informed, with these videos
I didn’t like the court scene. I wanted Superman to actually talk about have conversation. When they blew up the courtroom they blew up act 1.. Missed opportunity.
+Reece Stickman Snyder is going to direct it and he will have to give a whole superhero team screen time, plus the side character. He tried with 3 characters in BvS and it did not really work. Justice League is going to be a huge fucking discombobulated mess, with clips of every single hero that does not tie in together as a whole in my opinion.
+Reece Stickman Same thing they said about this one. I don't know why everyone is bending over backward to apologize for these movies. If you didn't think it quite worked that's okay. You don't have to like everything. It's fine. First it's "BvS will be better." Then it's "Justice League will be better." Next it will be "Justice League Pt. 2 will be better." It's okay to admit it didn't quite work. That's fine. We don't have to love everything. I love DC. I love Superman. But I don't really dig this current series. That's okay. We can admit that. We don't have to be apologists.
You guys need to see it again.. Almost all your gripes were answered. Lex could not take the body into the ship the first time bcos there was no need for him to do so. Once he gained control of the ship and learnt about Kryptonian history and how to create the doomsday monster (Host body + DNA + Kryptonian tech), he brought in Zod's body. Imagine carrying general zod's body around town/heavy security just to use his hand to open a door. Common guys! You can easily put that together. Plus I was fine with the usb stick (that was more like an easter egg than plot point). I took parts of the movie that didnot flow as world building for future movies. If that scene was an after credit scene, no one will complain (DC tried to do it different and I applaud them for giving the fans a different flavor). If you go to see the movie the second time to enjoy it for what it is, while putting things together, you will have a great time. I increased my score to an 8/10 from 7 after 2nd viewing. I know it wont get higher than that but its a fun movie that has heart and sorrow. I'll definitely see it 2 more times while i wait for Cap's battle.
My theory my the nightmare sequence is 2 parallel worlds are colliding kinda like in the flash when Cisco finds out that he was dead in a different timeline.
+GT KHAOS or just drive the car off the cliff. No one cares because it was hardly explained. It will push audiences away and they won't come back for justice league when they finally explain it all. IMO this movie was a giant fail. And I love DC characters and the animated projects.
Well Superman's main angst against Batman early on the movie, was because of the bat's methods of taking down criminals. Also as reported the brand was also getting criminals killed in prison, however that is an issue Clark should not have had. Seeing as he is naïve to prison justice in child predators or killers will be murdered in prison brand or not.Later on in the movie what made the rivalry between Wayne and Kent to grow was because of Lex Luthor. He was playing them both and working them against each other with letters in messages to get the two on edge and push towards this fight. Which is the biggest plot hole around, in how he worked this all out.
I honestly think the nightmare sequence was amazing, they're fast forwarding to apocalypse and I noticed that flash was wearing like a post apocalyptic suite. When he was warning batman, I saw the papers were flying so it wasn't a dream. Flash was warning him about superman, something we'll see in Justice league part 1 im sure. the movie makes you think I'll tell you that.
I honestly don't mind batman killing. Why? Because there's a scene with Bruce and Alfred and it goes kinda like this: Bruce: We're criminals Alfred. Nothing's changed. Alfred: Oh, everything's changed. Alfred acknowledges batman now kills. It's subtle. And I love it.
+Hi Hi Pretty obvious, as long as Snyder isn't directing any superhero movies (announced as Justice League's director) superhero movies shouldn't suck.
They did have the scene, when alfred tells Batman, while showing the newspaper, that he is becoming cruel because he fells powerless. Just pointing it out. Cheer!
Guys the Flash's warning and Batman's nightmare are setting up an Injustice movie. The Flash said "Lois is the key, Lois is the key, am I too soon?", that refers to Lois getting killed and Superman loses his shit. So it wasn't a dream, if you look carefully you can see some papers flying around when Batman wakes up. In the dream Superman kills the guys with he's heatvision and sais to Batman something like she was my world, and then also kills Batman. The flying creatures are Darkseid's army and all that... So yeah, Injustice..
The sad part is that even with the number of plotholes, the irrelevancy of the main villain, the fake death of superman, people will still go, see this and "like" it. Because its flashy and the action is good.
Andrew The God Plotholes and bad writing is an objective problem of the movie. But a multi millionary budget movie with so many big problems hurts the industry.
RetroGamerBrony i will tell you some of them, I thought they were clear: - How can Lex know that Batman would prepare his "offensive" that same night he kidnapped superman's mother? - Who is wonderwoman? If you have no comic knowledge you have no idea who Diana Prince is... - Why superman worries about batman at all? There is no motive, except the branding on criminals. - Why Batman, the very smart billionare never investigate superman accusations before picturing him as an enemy? - Why would anyone call his mother with her name instead of "MOM" in a emergency situation? - How can Lex know Aliens are coming on earth in the near future? - Why would an alien artificial intelligence give another species complete control over the system? - Why superman never took the fucking Zod ship away to hide it and maybe MAYBE try to salvage his race dna? - Why would ANYONE think people dead from bullets were killed by Superman? - Why would superman use the kriptonite spear when there is a fucking weapon alien expert LITERALLY 100 meters away? - How could Lois know she had to take the spear to fight the "monster"? she does not know what the monster is, batman talks to Wonderwoman and superman telling them its kriptonian and superman knows it because he sees doomsday being born from zod's ship. Lois could not know. - Why anyone would think a hole in superman chest is enough to kill him after a FUCKING NUCLEAR BOMB exploded in his face and he survived... - Why after superman is "dead" people thank him when the last time he fought with a supervillain destroying stuff half the world complained and attacked him setting up the event for THIS movie? these are the first points that come to mind.
Every Batman v Superman review. >one guy in Batman shirt >one guy in Superman shirt >throw in the words "mess" "poorly written" and "disappointing" BAM! You've got your twenty minute review.
corrio zac Obviously so stupid people can't recognise a shit story when they see it anymore. How about Supes takes that lasso and she takes the spear? How about throw the spear? How about fly round doomsday and stab him from behind? So many options. But no. They wanted it to be oooh sooo saaad. And that cliche speech he gives Lois. Like he knows he's gonna die? Why does he know this? What a load of bullshit. People defending this is why we can't have nice things 😒
Hey guys. The reason General Zod ship was able to reanimate Zod was because in MOS General Zod ship was able to grow or birth life again. That's why he wanted the tisserct(however u spell it). Remember what he said to Superman in MOS. "if u destroy this ship, you destroy krypton." The ship had the tech to bring life back to kryptonians.
I can see what's being pointed out. I overall really loved it. I am excited for the DCU to be set up. I've always thought this movie should've never been titled BvS. I always viewed this as a JL set up. I agree, AOU let me down but I appreciated the tone for BvS. I'm hoping the directors cut will win people over who have problems with this version. I still loved everything for what this movie was and look forward to seeing it s couple more times to better digest the material.
Great review and so accurate! Iron Man 2 and Age of Ultron both suffered from the same thing, with trying to expand the universe and disjoint the film As for BvS, i feel exactly the same and Jesse Eisenberg did actually ruin ot for me. I know when I watch it on bluray, i will be skipping his scenes
This Lex Luthor..I guarantee you..will be hardened by this experience..the next time we see him I bet he will have his arms behind him like Morpheus in the Matrix and be the calm genius with a psychotic part to him that we all love..because this was a huge failure that he will learn from and make him better...
They do acknowledge Batmans behavior!!! Alfred said to Batman, after the Brandmarks, that it is wrong when good people slip and do brutal things. Than they have a conversation and Batman states that Thugs are like weed. Even if new weed will grow, the old ones needs taken care of and all the scenery (Robins costum, burned Villa etc) showed that he is gone through hell too often and is own code isn't important anymore, he is a hunter after all.
the email scene was actually quite intense, it may seem sloppy writing to you guys, but I and my friend actually scream when we saw that scene, and also the great soundtrack.
the pros out way the cons, none of the negative aspects discussed took away from this movie. That's just my opinion, though I'll probably go watch the movie another two or three times thanks to John Campea's encouragement.
The PA-Desert nightmare actually has a spoiler for the JL villain. It makes sense if you consider what Lex was ranting at Batman at the end of the movie. Those things flying around after the ambush were Parademons. I didn't notice it at first because they didn't look like the ones I'm used to from the comics.
De Nitpichers eh, I think movie goers have become spoiled over the hyper realism and overkill of epicness in superhero films. I give all these comicbook films 5 year at the most before everyone is sick of this shit, just like how the "western" got old around the 60's, and how horror died too. At this point it's like beating a horse that's on the verge of death, might as well enjoy these films while they last haha
12:55 you say Lex didnt know Batmans plan, but thats wrong, when batman stoled kryptonite from lex he left his bat symbol where kryptonite was and Lex knew what he need it for. So he planned to push superman to fight batman
Keaton's Batman killing was okay for me since that was the first batman that I was exposed to and I had no clue that time batman does not kill. but in the years learning about batman in other media and stories even the arkham games you understand why his moral code is very important to him. basically I got invested on batmans character and seeing this to Ben afflicks version kinda made me disappointed as like Chis said there should have been an explanation why.
Batman called Lex on the phone & told him that he wasnt going to fight Superman anymore or some shit. This happens when Superman returns from fighting Batman but not bringing back his head. So why would Batman call Lex much less know a number that would go directly to Lex?!? The theatrical version had to have cut out some kinda conversation between them 2!!
late to the party here, so I apologize if its been said already, but Alfred DOES reprimand Bruce and his new found cruelty. and Bruce does say to him how many criminals have we put away only to have them return, how many good people stayed good. its what Chris said there needed to be in the movie.
12:35 - what's even more mind blowing is that this universe's Lex Luthor knows that Batman is Bruce Wayne. That's the only explanation as to how Lex knew to send those checks back with the red writing (unless I'm forgetting something). He planned their fight like an evil mastermind. He was pretty scary IMO.
Btw, you too are great together. This didn't feel like a formal movie discussion. This was juat two buddies chilling, and that's awesome.

11:24 Chris... Actually there's a scene... Alfred: New rules? Bruce: Nothing has changed, Alfred. We've always been criminals.
Chris' Laugh is everything, lol so funny! 3:43 came out of no where...can't help but laugh and like the guy! :-)
BvS might be an alright movie to watch once in cinemas, but unlike Avengers or the Dark Knight trilogy, it's not worthy enough for repeat viewings after bad word of mouth, which is why the box office for BvS will dip hugely in subsequent weeks.
Despite the flaws, I honestly love love love this movie.
Me too this movie was amazing
Oh My God, that's exactly me and my friends opinion. I completely accept and understand the flaws but I just absolutely loved it, I am willing to overlook the flaws because I've rarely walked out of the theatre that happy
same buddy
I love how lots of their complaints are fixed in the extended cut😄
No it doesnt at all
@@digontozahid dude this is a fucking 4 year old comment
I loved this review. Chris's sudden laugh outbursts scared the shit out of me tho
I can't believe we live in a world where Captain America is a better Superman than Superman!!!!!!
Lmao
+reviewasianfilms I disagree, to be honest. This Superman is far more interesting of a character than Captain America.
George Daugherty I love Man of Steel but Captain America 2 is a superior movie.
reviewasianfilms I don't like Man of Steel and I don't like Captain America 2, but I like THE CHARACTER of this Superman much better than Captain America, who's a pretty shitty character.
I can't believe we live in a world where copying and pasting is a thing on UA-cam!!!
Chris has the scariest laugh ive ever heard lmao. great vid guys
i really like the themes this movie brought up. i just wish they explored them more. i liked the first half thematically and loved the fight scenes. needed the second half to tie it together. also the editing annoyed me, where it would jump from story line to story line at important moments to the point where you stopped caring.
Loving these collabs with Chris!
you know, they actually had that scene. He explained it to alfred, you saw robins suit, and alfred tells him he ha changed.
This was the movie DC needed, but not the one it deserved.
This channel is criminally underrated....it deserves at least twice as many subs
i had the same thought as john but i just assumed that lex knew batman was planning something since he stole his kryptonite
I thought the same.
I didn’t like the court scene. I wanted Superman to actually talk about have conversation. When they blew up the courtroom they blew up act 1.. Missed opportunity.
I absolutely loved it. I agree with the flaws, but I was able to look past them.
I agree with Stuckmann about Lois in the movie. I like Amy Adams but she isn't tough enough for Lois.
justice league will be better
k.
+Padd Boucher (Urbanlistener) I think you're right.
No doubt about that. It won't have to set up anything. Or at least not as much
You guys need to see it again..
I still think Watchmen is a masterpiece.
Chris' laugh after that Lex Luther alcohol joke was amazing XD
My theory my the nightmare sequence is 2 parallel worlds are colliding kinda like in the flash when Cisco finds out that he was dead in a different timeline.
No
+Abhinav Chandra The they should have explained it in the movie. Lazy script writing is lazy.
+MikeTran not really bruh . . all our answers are going to be answered in justice league . . its better to leave us at a cliff hanger
+GT KHAOS or just drive the car off the cliff. No one cares because it was hardly explained. It will push audiences away and they won't come back for justice league when they finally explain it all. IMO this movie was a giant fail. And I love DC characters and the animated projects.
Once dhere шas a civilization, mučh like ours, бut шidh a greater intelligence, greater poШers, and a greater capacity for ritual genital mutilation⸮
Why? Because there's a scene with Bruce and Alfred and it goes kinda like this:
Bruce: We're criminals Alfred. Nothing's changed.
Alfred: Oh, everything's changed.
Alfred acknowledges batman now kills. It's subtle. And I love it.
I hate crazy Lex. Michael Rosenbaum has been the best Lex. Cool and calculating is the best way to play Lex.
This review is fckin hilarious. LMAO Well done guys.
captain America civil war is going to be better
duh
+JOK3RxSh07gun the truth hurts
+Hi Hi Pretty obvious, as long as Snyder isn't directing any superhero movies (announced as Justice League's director) superhero movies shouldn't suck.
Good chemistry between this two amazing reviewers! Keep it up!
There were lots of things I really liked in the movie but there were also a lot of things I hated I would give it a C- and 4/10
Great review guys
They did have the scene, when alfred tells Batman, while showing the newspaper, that he is becoming cruel because he fells powerless. Just pointing it out. Cheer!
Fun review, you guys work well together. Should do more of these!
These reviews are better than the film lol
It's also got better structure than the movie lol and not boring
If hulk, abomination, and the troll from lord of the rings had a drunken one night stand baby...you get doomsday. 😂
The sad part is that even with the number of plotholes, the irrelevancy of the main villain, the fake death of superman, people will still go, see this and "like" it. Because its flashy and the action is good.
OR...... people just don't have the same opinion as you
Andrew The God Plotholes and bad writing is an objective problem of the movie. But a multi millionary budget movie with so many big problems hurts the industry.
RetroGamerBrony
i will tell you some of them, I thought they were clear:
- How can Lex know that Batman would prepare his "offensive" that same night he kidnapped superman's mother?
Every Batman v Superman review.
>one guy in Batman shirt
>one guy in Superman shirt
>throw in the words "mess" "poorly written" and "disappointing"
BAM! You've got your twenty minute review.
I'm new to the channel so idk names but the guy with the superman t shirt should be the next joker, his laugh is on point lol
It's always a treat seeing a new video uploaded with you two 🙌🏻
Why the fuck didn't wonder woman kill doomsday with the kryptonite! superman had to be dramatic about it 😂
Shut up, Saul. Don't make me call Heisenberg.
+Saul Goodman She was the one holding Doomsday with her lasso. So many Marvel movies made people very stupid.
corrio zac Obviously so stupid people can't recognise a shit story when they see it anymore.
The movie was poorly edited, but still good. Probably will be appreciated more over multiple viewings, kinda like Man of Steel.
Justice League: God's Not Dead 3
Great review and so accurate! Iron Man 2 and Age of Ultron both suffered from the same thing, with trying to expand the universe and disjoint the film
As for BvS, i feel exactly the same and Jesse Eisenberg did actually ruin ot for me.
Your Batman Vs Superman videos are what helped me find your channel. A little upset you didn't enjoy the movie as much as I did.
I just saw the movie. I agree with everything you both said.
the pros out way the cons, none of the negative aspects discussed took away from this movie. That's just my opinion, though I'll probably go watch the movie another two or three times thanks to John Campea's encouragement.
Agreed. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, but had some issues and doubted that I wanted to see it again until I watched Campea excited bite love for it.
I felt like Clark Kents conversations with perry white explained his issue with Batman
I actually REALLY liked it, maybe because I always suspend a bit of logic and realism when watching superhero films
+Sarl Cagan I don't. Movies should follow logic with whatever characters they are talking about
De Nitpichers eh, I think movie goers have become spoiled over the hyper realism and overkill of epicness in superhero films.
Chris laughs like the Joker. Lol
Can you guys do more reviews together it's so entertaining
Batman called Lex on the phone & told him that he wasnt going to fight Superman anymore or some shit. This happens when Superman returns from fighting Batman but not bringing back his head. So why would Batman call Lex much less know a number that would go directly to Lex?!? The theatrical version had to have cut out some kinda conversation between them 2!!
Age of Ultron was better than Batman V Superman
+Tomas Favetto (Marvel Fanboy)
DirilisBurakTV lol
Hell no.
Uh... no.
+Leo Anchieta according to the majority of the audiences and critics... yeah, it was.
late to the party here, so I apologize if its been said already, but Alfred DOES reprimand Bruce and his new found cruelty. and Bruce does say to him how many criminals have we put away only to have them return, how many good people stayed good.
its what Chris said there needed to be in the movie.
More like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Suckness.
Flashpoint paradox? Shut up Chris, it's Crisis, man. Crisis.
the animated movie is called flashpoint paradox
Chris should be the next Joker
one of the most honest and chill BvS reviews...great vid bro
"people hate , what they don't understand" Couldn't say it better my self Martha Kent
+GT KHAOS that aplies to movies like 2001 a space odyssey and Synecdoche New York. This is just a Michael Bay superhero movie
