  • Hey guys... I only changed on thing, and this is what happened.
I got very sick last year and was on bed rest for more than a year, and I gained 10 Lbs during that time of bedrest. Fast forward to this year - one month ago, and it had been about 18 months since I got so sick. However, I was still struggling with depression and anxiety (from being so sick), I still wasn't fitting into my clothes and I still had weight to lose - I still wasn't feeling like myself. Then I heard about this one thing that literally changed everything overnight... and this is what happened.
I hope you enjoy this video and find it helpful!

My psychologist told me that as well, and then try and find the underlying reason for it. Why do you think other deserve your time more that you do? I haven't figured it out yet, as it comes with a bigger amount of self acceptence and love than I currently have, but it is an insight that is good to think of every now and then. You (/I) deserve to spent time doing thinks that make you (/me) a better person in the long run, even if it is not so nice right now.
For me it helped a lot with studying habits (in Uni atm) but it also goes for other lifestyle things, like eating well, working out, cleaning your room/house. Not always easy, but good to keep in mind

I was the same and could never loose wait with exercise/diets because I never stuck to them. And I finally lost about 8 kilos (dk how much it is in pounds) with anxiety and heartbreak, so yeah not a fun way to loose weight. I’m telling you all this because I used to believe that I wasn’t able to loose weight because I didn’t see results immediately or I would just get discouraged, but now I can see that I can and whenever I wanna lose those 2/3 extra kilos I’m much more motivated because I know that my body is capable of reaching that weight. I also used to be scared that once I’d reach my weight goal Id gain it all back because I’d be hungry and stuff, but that’s not true because my body adapted and doesn’t feel hunger as much as it used to, and rightfully so because I used to eat food in excess. So trust me you’ll get used to it, u just need to make it a habit. Plus trust me looking at yourself in the mirror with that new body, being able to wear those clothes... it’s a feeling like no other! I got so confident and felt much happier, I finally wasn’t ashamed of putting on shorts or going to the beach :’)
Btw I am 158 cm (approx 5’1’’) and used to weigh 57-61 kg (depending on the time of year, during the summer I’d gain weight) and my lowest weight (after I broke up with my bf) was 47 kg
Now I’m at 51/52 but I’m trying to get to 47 again because my body was the bomb at that weight

I think it is really important to realise that you are not perfect, you don't have to be perfect and you can't be perfect. Being perfect is not the goal. You are enough the way you are and you are good the way you are. Of course, you can try to "better" yourself (I mean, guess why I'm here), but don't expect too much from yourself. You won't change completely who you are in a week. You have to understand that you are the way you are. It is your character, the one you have for this life. You have flaws but everyone does and that's what makes life interesting. Try to accept and understand yourself and when you have done that, you can set goals to achieve.
I believe that everyone can accept himself/herself, but it is a process for most of us, which is completely normal and fine.

It became an obsession, i put it before literally everything else in my life, and felt extreme guilt and sadness whenever I would slip up. It took YEARS to heal from that, and for the record I'm fatter than ever now so it wasn't even worth it (95% of diets fail [fail as in the weight is regained, usually with extra on top] within 5 years. don't listen to people who lost weight 6 months ago, 2 years ago, or even 4 years ago. Wow, I feel so inspired after watching this, thank you! I've fallen so far behind with my studies because I didn't follow through with my plan and schedule. I promised myself I would do better, but I haven't kept those promises and that really is demotivating. But I've been working out and eating healthy, and I really think that has been a step towards "trusting" myself again. I just needed to see it that way and not give up before the exams :-)

I’ve been trying to get in shape for a long time. I do a little workout everyday
    It’s been two days...
But I really want to stick to it
Edit : I was really sick maybe a week after this comment and I totally lost the will. I wasn’t consistant at all and I nearly gave up. But know I’ve started establishing a routine, and I’ve worked out every night for 4 days, and it makes me feel better ! I didn’t really wanted to do it tonight but I forced myself and I’m glad I did it !

As an entrepreneur I learned from a successful mentor to fill the role of two people. As the boss, create structure & establish systems to track progress. Schedule an agenda of actions with deadlines or quotas. As the worker, start work on time, invest in the purpose & follow through on assignments to get paid. Occasionally the boss evaluates the worker's performance. What's going well & what needs to be improved? Separating these roles instills accountability & increases productivity. It's similar to the concept she explains in the video of keeping promises we set with ourselves to build self trust. Either way, consistent practice of taking action builds momentum that leads to success.

This really hit home. Last year when my brother in law was deployed, I moved in with my sister to help out with my newborn niece. When my brother in law returned home I gained 20 lbs since my main focus was taking care of my niece. Since he has been home I have been trying to lose the 20lbs but I have been getting so frustrated because I felt like I wasn't able to lose it as fast as I have in the past. Watching your video made me realize how much I was doubting myself. From this moment forward I am going to make the promises that I need to make for myself and follow through with them. Thank you so much for posting this video. It awakened me of the things that I didn't even realize I was doing.

You just gave me the kick in the ass I needed. I am also coming out of a really deep depression and battling with confidence and self doubt. The past two years have been really hard on me, and it took away from joyous times such as my wedding last fall. However, I'm working on building a business, working full-time and trying to be a present and loving wife to my husband, and Mommy to my fur children. The biggest loss of confidence and Trust has been with myself. I will be watching this video every time I need to be reminded to keep going. 💙

I usually don't comment on vids(yes, I've been a lurker) but this thing struck a chord with me. I have been lately thing about 'having lost trust in myself' because I let rhe little promises I made to myself to the way side. Like another commenter have pointed out, I usually keep my promises to other more than to myself. And I have always thought that the way I can gain it back is by building back the confidence through committing to little actions that i say ill do. And this video has showed that it is indeed possible. I'm gonna give this a go. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I would accomplish other goals in order to not disappoint others, and it was okay to disappoint myself. but its not. I deserve to put my goals and myself first. And i have slowly gotten the confidence to say "no" to others when i was asked to do sometbing i didnt want to either at work/school/social life and do what i want. And i've been so much happier and confident. but i'm still working on this. i have social anxiety so it takes a lot for me to say "no" to others
