    Dope video bro can't wait to hear the vibes you make on the road. Have you ever considered switching to cloud storage instead of hard drives? 🧐 I've been using so many hard drives for years, wondering if it'd be better to store all my beats & production files in the cloud for switching between mobile & desktop 😅

    • @IAMLXGEND
      @IAMLXGEND  5 років тому +1

      The hard drives for me personally are moreso for housing all my VSTs, kits, and all the videos I’m gonna be shooting. I wish there were more options for cloud based instrumentation like Arcade and LoopCloud that would be super dope. But I definitely store my beat collection in the cloud. Maybe not my sessions but the exports at least. It’s definitely good for accessibility anywhere just have to make sure there’s Wifi wherever you are Hahahah

    Amazing video, as always! Could you make a tutorial about noise reduction in Garage Band? I use noise gate, but I can't set it up correctly. Maybe there are some other ways to do it? Thanks a lot for everything you do for us 💕

    • @IAMLXGEND
      @IAMLXGEND  5 років тому

      There’s no other ways to do it. You just put the noise gate on at the top of your plugin list, and turn it up or down until you get the cutoff you want. That’s it. And you’re welcome ❤️

    From the description, i see that you use a focusrite audio interface. Is it possible to record and monitor vocals using autotune without getting latency using that same audio interface?

    • @IAMLXGEND
      @IAMLXGEND  5 років тому

      If you’re talking about hearing the playback of the autotune while you’re recording with no latency, no. There will always be some whether you’re using autotune or not. You can still record with autotune though. Just don’t monitor the audio from the project. Listen to it after you record it.

    • @anjorinabdullaheniola9289
      @anjorinabdullaheniola9289 5 років тому

      @@IAMLXGEND I guess the only solution to that is to get the apollo interface because I've discovered that autotune is more like a vocal instrument. It makes more sense to record directly using the plugin to shape the kinda tone you want.

    • @IAMLXGEND
      @IAMLXGEND  5 років тому

      Not exactly. I mean if you want to hear the tuning AS you record it with zero latency sure but that seems like spending a lot of money for one small feature. You can easily shape the tone you want with a plugin called Waves Tune after you’ve recorded the audio. You literally are able to edit which notes you want your voice to sing. No need for a $500-1200 interface. But that’s just me.

    • @IAMLXGEND
      @IAMLXGEND  5 років тому

      Since I use externals to store all video files as well as my sound library for all my DAWs, and I use iCloud to store photos and certain folders I haven’t run into any issues in the rough year I’ve owned the computer. Only time I do is when I don’t offload my exported 4K files since they’re so huge and I record so many UA-cam videos.

    • @IAMLXGEND

      Lol. The biggest difference is the hardware. Maschine only comes with Maschine hardware. Most popularly the Maschine MK3 or Munro MK3. So you can control the entire program from this drum pad. Many features. Maschine has WAY better stock sounds than FL in my opinion. And more expansions and kits to add on later. The workflow is similar which is why I switched to it. You get so much more for the same price.

      For $250 you can get the Maschine mikro MK3 hardware WITH software included. Producer edition of FL costs like $200 for the software alone. I’d personally go with Maschine but one thing to note is Maschine isn’t built to do vocal recording. FL is but I don’t really care for that. I prefer Maschine.
