D*mn good video my brother. We carry allot of the same gear I see! I also tried that Peak travel bag & had to send that back too. Just too big & I found myself having to still sacrifice something to make it work. I, myself ended up going with the LowePro 450aw. Now I did see you were still dealing with those dongle issues as far as devices & multi-tasking with that iPad Pro... had the same issue & ended up backing a product on Kickstarter that’s about to start shipping in about a week or so! It’s called the Hyperdrive USB-C for iPad Pro 2018. You may want to give that a look online as I think that may solve some of your issues! Anyway great video, & that Osmo Pocket is a little Monster isn’t it haha!

Henny, any thoughts on using the LaCie DJI Copilot Boss which allows you to auto backup of SD card (similar to the WD wireless), use as a portable battery, AND connect (via USB C/Lightning cable) directly to the iPad/iPhone and (using their app) view your files and edit directly from it. No wireless delay, etc. Looks like it would be an amazing fit for you since you are truly mobile and need to be as minimal as possible! Just an idea since we should all be sharing as a community. I know you’ve got some insight. Keep doing what you do!

I have an Aer Travel pack for my studio stuff, but recently I had the same struggle you had trying to find a new backpack (but for uni this time) since the production backpack was too big and too heavy to be carrying around. Great, entertaining and useful video. I've only just discovered your channel and subscribed immediately. Based on this video, it seems that we both have the same interests when it comes to bags, storage and brands: Chase Reeves, Peak Design, Matador. I'm going to follow your videos more closely.
A couple of suggestions: Capture Clip is perfect on the 5L Sling from PD, I very much like the Beast 28L backpack from Matador as a daily bag (when I'm not carrying too much) and the Pocket Blanket is also very useful. The backpack that I bought as my vacation/daily/travel backpack is the F-Stop Ajna: it has a removable and closable padded storage compartment if you're not carrying too many gadgets. And it opens from the back, to prevent unwanted openings. It's kind of big though.
For cable/accessory storage, I tend to use thinner/smaller bags to minimize overhead (weight and padding).

@@HennyThaBizness The Beast is my daily backpack when I'm not carrying too much stuff around. Macbook Pro 13" in a sleeve, extra bag for groceries that I have to pick up on the way, Nintendo Switch, accessory-pouch (battery pack, cables, etc) , sunglasses, 0.7 liter water bottle, Bose QC35's. Those type of items. Fits perfect
I also bring it along on vacations (usually, once a year, 3 weeks to another continent) as a smaller daily backpack then the F-stop that I use as carry-on. There are days when we are out and about w/ the kids and I don't want to have such a huge backpack to carry around. The Beast is then perfect in my opinion.
What is also great about it: it is super lightweight, but still looks very good compared to most ultra-light backpacks. Most of 'em are designed for climbers/mountaineers for whom design is probably secondary. But I do consider the style of the backpack important, so the Matador-products are awesome in my opinion.
Props for rocking Fujifilm! How's the workflow using Fuji with LumaFusion? Considering going fully mobile.
Works great when using 4K 24fps fLoG 8bit ... that’s what I mostly use. Also the 120p works well too... no issues importing with those formats. 10 bit or 4K 60 won’t import yet because of iOS 😡🤷🏽♂️😡

Man the amount of stuff some of us guys carry is just nuts lol I like those bags that come with cases, that's such a smart idea. That water proof bag is clutch. We really should start asking for travel bags for Christmas and birthdays 😂 all that gear fits in one bag and hat is the biggest thing. Does it fit in the carry on compartment on planes?

Man, that bag must be heavy after awhile. I carry my camera bag along with some clothes and that gets tiring after about 30 minutes of walking. I have no idea how I'd be able to carry around my Akai 25 key, Microsoft Surface, Nintendo Switch, Canon with a couple lenses, Zoom H6, cheapo condenser mic, tripod, DJI Osmo Mobile, and a grip of clothes for a long trip. I like to keep my packing minimal.
After my last trip, this bag was pretty comfortable (and I have back issues) ... overall it weighed about 26 lbs and it was fine for my travel needs. Definitely not for all day though

I would recommend getting the XKey app for iOS so that you can enable the transpose functions and other things. I keep the settings standard but has enabled the transpose function.

Have you tried IMPC Pro 2 lately? No special reason. Just curious. If YOU, HENNY like something then its usually at least worth checking out. I suppose with BM3 being so insanely powerful, versatile, and fun to use, how can anything beat it for making beats or making any music. What IOS app would you use to record a band. I think Auria is clearly the way to go, considering it is like having protools or any professional, full eatured DAW on YOUR IPAD. I don’t see a ton of people on UA-cam, like you, with your background, who really know their shit, demoing recording bands with an iPad. Its beatmaking and recording ideas for later on a laptop. But Auria can do it all. Too bad that iOS is stuck in that create a quick idea thing, when its way more capable than just that, especially with the latest iPad Pro. I know you do it all for video, but music? Do you get my point?
I get your point for sure. Recording bands, I would definitely look into Auria Pro with a big USB interface, like a Apogee ensemble or quartet. I just don’t have that many times where that’s needed for me.

PS: Just thinking of screenrecording myself writing my name on a green background (e.g. in procreate) and then keying out the green background as if it was a greenscreen + rescaling the "shot". Maybe I just answered my own question... xD If not, I'm looking forward to your tips! :)

Ok Henny, you have responded to one of my questions before, but this one is probably one of the most important! I’ve been making music on my I pad for OVER a year now on my I pad, and Tbh I’m getting really good at it. (Music is on my channel if you wanna check it) But here’s the big question, I’ve been using BeatMaker3 for the entire time and my quality is good, BUT it’s to the point where I NEED my music mastered... the quality isn’t bad, but it can definitely be improved! Is there any way to master my music on my I pad??? Please respond!!!
