I just bought the DJI Mic 2 and Insta360 Flow based off of your recommendations. Learning a lot from your videos! One question though, what case do you use for your iPhone? I’m using an Otterbox Defender for my iPhone 14 Pro and the receiver can’t plug into the phone with the case installed on the phone. What case do you use/recommend??

Finally! A Bluetooth connected microphone. Hopefully Apple can address the connectivity issues in a software update. For now the BM camera app is a great alternative. As always - a great product review Benett 👏🏻

I was thinking of just getting the transmitter by itself, I think that gives you most of the cool features, bluetooth, 32 bit float, etc.
I already have the DJI Mic 1, and it works fine, but I think just the transmitter might be a very nice minimal setup.

They have updated it since then, and you now can use the noise-canceling feature with Bluetooth :)

You can utilize the phone's Bluetooth capability for the microphone through third-party apps like BlackMagic or Filmic Pro. It's worth noting that the default iPhone camera doesn't currently support Bluetooth connections, so you'll need a receiver or await a potential update from Apple. Another option is recording audio internally on the transmitter and syncing it in post-production. Its the carbon fiber edition by sandmarc: bit.ly/3DeQHom
Did you use it on iPhone 15 pro max with Bluetooth or with the Receiver? It makes big different. Let me know. I knew it will be good on DSLR cameras but that’s not what I’m looking for. I want to know if it any good for iPhone 15 pro max via Bluetooth?
In the video I did a test recoding connecting the mic via bluetooth to the iPhone 15 Pro Max and recoding it with the black magic camera app.

So if I plug the 3.5mm cord into the DJI and into my R6ii ? Will it auto bake the audio into the video? Or do I still need to unload the audio, like hit record and USBc unload audio ? Help please
When you attach the transmitter to your R6ii Camera, it wirelessly sends audio directly to the camera, seamlessly combining it with the video. No need for manual syncing during editing. Plus, you have the option to simultaneously record a backup audio track for added security.

Question, if im recording a video and the receiver is attached to my dji osmo action 4 , when uploading a video is the audio recording separate and do i have to transfer the audio to the video for it to work , or just when uploading the video the audio recording is sync in with the video ?
Yes the audio is recorded to the video. If you want you can additionally make a backup recording which record he audio speeatley and saves he audio file on the transmitter.

dji mic sound is sharper than the others. if low cut on it comes too sharp and light. so i also prefet to turn it off .

Is anyone here facing the following problem?
When I start recording the volume of my recording is very loud and the surrounding noise as well, it then quickly dies down to a normal volume and the voic eis much better to understand... WHy is this happening? Noise cancelling is turned off.
Check if you have the newest software update and if not do an update. What also helps is formating the dji mic 2 transmitters.
