A new firmware update was released about a month ago, improving the audio quality of this device! In this video, you will listen to this Mic being used during 99% of the video Get your DJI Mic 2 Here: ⭐DJI Mic 2 Transmitter: amzn.to/3YszS5x ⭐DJI Mic 2 Combo: amzn.to/4f26E2w
With the new DJI Osmo action 5, you can now connect 2 of the DJI Mic 2's to the Osmo 5. Perfect for anyone interested in Motorcycle vlogging that wants to capture both in helmet commentary Video and the sound of the MC exhaust simultaneously. Brilliant!
I'm sure the DJI Mic 2 has improvements over the original DJI Mic...but, having purchased the DJI Mic just a few months before DJI announced the Mic 2, I feel no need to upgrade. And, truth be told, after comparing different mics available at the time, and watching several comparison & review videos, it was your video that convinced me that the DJI Mic was "the best option". 👍
Yeah no real need to upgrade to be honest, the first version is good, although I really like how easy it is to connect this new version with most action cameras, even from other brands
Hi Otto - I have been using DJI Mic 2 for last 6mths or so and LOVE THEM. Works with my Canon Eos M and V10 Cameras also works well with my Action 4 also on its own with built in Memory - Wicked ..... Also Works with the Tascam DR-70D and my MacBook Air M1 laptop and M2 Pro Mac Mini - Great Video as always, I look forward to your reviews my friend - I know I can trust them
Hey Mark, thanks for the list of products that you've used them on. I think that they win at being very compatible with almost every device. Thanks for the feedback as well!
I did not know about the different levels of purchases of this mic so I am thrilled after watching your informative video of the $99 option which is all I need. I used your link to buy it. Thanks for this helpful tip! Best wishes!
Thank you for your review! I came from your other video comparing the Osmo Pocket 3 with the Action 5 Pro, and I'm now convinced to go for the Action 5 Pro along with the DJI Mic 2 (transmitter only). Could you clarify the difference in voice quality when using the transmitter versus the receiver with a MacBook Pro? I'm also planning to use the mic for my Zoom meetings via Bluetooth and would like to know if there's any noticeable quality difference between using just the standalone transmitter and the receiver.
That’s great!! Can’t say about the MacBook since I don’t have one, but without the receiver the volume of the mic will be controlled by the device, quality should be the same but you don’t get a few features that are inside the receiver, but overall should be fine. Just make sure to test the volume and adjust on your computer
Wonderful video I love my DJI Mike too, and my Rode wireless me is also amazing. I think the rode has better sound quality, but DJI is actually easier just to use
Easy connectivity with dji devices but very poor sound quality from built in mic. Better use a good quality lav mic and use this dji mic only for connectivity.
Let me know what you think it’s not a huge improvement but it does the trick. Btw, low cut filter seems to be on after the update and that muffles the sound quite a bit (on the rx)
Well the thing is that M50 is a “real” camera so it has more benefits than an action camera, bigger sensor, interchangeable lenses and so on, but you are getting a compact camera for vlogging with the A5Pro.

Yeah. Most people think they need the receiver (or actually would make sense) but one TX has a very high connectivity with multiple devices

This sounds great for my Hero 13. Thanks so much for this video
You are welcome !!

Thank you Otto
You are welcome!
An amazing mic.
Yeah it is
Can the receiver be connected to a mixer so that I can use the transmitter mic to sing on a live gig?
not sure, it will depend on the mixer. If it has a USB-C port and it can take external microphones on that port then yes it will work

Have you tried it after they released the recent firmware update?
@@OttoJulian_ I haven’t recently checked for the update. Will do that soon

@@OttoJulian_ I will.
Just hoping your son is the joker, lol! Amazing video. I'm waiting for my action 5 for vlogging. I hope is better than my m50.
haha, not this time, last year he got the main role so they gave it to someone else this time, but they won, second year in a row!
@@OttoJulian_ that’s so nice! 😊 I got the Action 5 yesterday. I’m not fully sold yet but getting used. Your videos really help!

@@OttoJulian_ yes! I really hope I get used. 🥺
