A series of unfortunate events lead me to purchasing a 2000 disco 2, I'd always wanted an off-road capable vehicle. Seeing all the things people have done to theirs gets me excited to get mine back to its former glory, inside and out. I love the raptor liner finish you've achieved with yours, and it's inspired me to do the same color to mine. Love the military green.
Btw, the OME HD will probably yield 3" on yours. Maybe different spring perches, wheel offset, etc. The 33s also tend to rub on sliders if they stick out too far. I just did 35s on a 3" and cut my body up.
Great Video !! Arizona Beauty ! I wish you would've added the link for all of the good stuff you put in your Disco 2 ... but the bottom line ...Thank you for the Awesome Video!
Nice rig! I have a 03 and I raptor lined the hood and roof. Still need a few thing to get it looking the way I want. I absolutely love my Disco the most under rated 4x4. Thanks for sharing the video.
Great video..lots of goo info.. I’m also in AZ... I’be been working on my 2001 for a few years now and having fun with it. Maybe I’ll see you out on the trails
I would love more videos like this. I also love the raptor lining. Mine (just bought this summer) is plasti dipped about the same color as your raptor liner. I want to raptor line mine too! I am also going to dive into some research so I don't make mine globby if I end up lining it. Haha! I also need to keep my eyes out for a parts truck! I hope to build mine up too someday -- thanks for the inspiration.
Glad you liked it. You reminded me that I need to make a video about how I Raptor Lined my Disco. I did a ton of research before I actually sprayed it. I'll put a video out about that soon.
I got my stock spare tire carrier to work with a 33" tire by taking it off and flipping it upside down. You can't use the 2 middle bolts but the other 4 seem to do just fine. The rear wiper arm then made contact with the carrier so I took that off and set it's lowest point to be just above the carrier. Works fine.
Right on my disco brother! I too live in sunny Arizona. I just got the Goliath bumper. I love it! Really solid construction and keeps that approach angle nice and tight. I think you’re able to get away with the 33’s cause your offset/backspace is really small. My backspace is like 5.5” and I get rub when turning into a steep approach. I am currently on 31’s
Nice! That bumper is the best fitting aftermarket part I have put on my Disco. I just found out Goliath also makes a rear bumper, but I'm not thrilled about the design. Glad to see another AZ Disco. You should consider joining azlro.org It's an awesome group.
@@fitzventure nice! I didn’t know there was a group. I’ll definitely check it out. Yeah I’ve seen the rear bumper and the rock sliders by them. They look solid, but I’m not so into the design of them. There is a company called tactical rovers I think makes a good option, and then there is terrafirma that I believe makes a decent rear bumper, but most likely I’m going to probably end up fabbing up my own... I’d like to incorporate my own wheel/equipment rack.
Can you provide a quick breakdown of how you mounted/secured your compressor underneath the passenger seat? Also, are you running a single battery in your rig? Great vid. Great truck! Thanks!
To mount the compressor, I cut 2 pieces of inch and a quarter aluminum and drilled holes in the strips that line up with the CD changer studs in the floor. Then, I just mounted the compressor to those strips and bolted it to the floor. I run a single battery.
@@fitzventure Thanks for the quick reply. Assuming you had to take the seat out to install the compressor? I just acquired a 2004 Disco II and love how where you stashed the compressor. New tires and this onboard air system will be my first projects to knock out. Thanks again!
@@fitzventure Hey dude! Been doing a lot of research trying to find instructions on how to set up the air system like yours and I'm stuck. Are you able to provide a few details on wiring? Does the compressor hook up to the wiring for the CD changer you removed and what's needed to wire the switch to the compressor? Is this (amzn.to/3faDcuW) the compressor you're using? THANK YOU FITZ!
@@thesalesden9172 Yes, that’s the compressor I have. I didn’t use any of the included wiring though. I ran a heavy gauge wire from the battery under the seat. My electrician buddy did the rest. I don’t know exactly how it works but it looks pretty simple.
Great walk around of the Disco 2. I have a couple of friends with Discoverys and they love them. I would love to own one but currently they are not to be found at the great low prices that they were just a car ago. What part of AZ do you live in? My Disco friends are all in the Phoenix area and I am down in Tucson.

That is so cool. I still use that awning often. It's mounted on my new Safety Devices rack. Hah!
I have been debating raptor lining my D2 for a while. Yours looks really, really good! Love the color, too!
Thanks.

Ooo... that lining material looks awesome! The paint on my D2 is fading on the roof, so I may go and do likewise.
Good Comprehensive vid! Never thought of putting the compressor under pass seat. Seems the best use for that awkward storage bin.
That is where the factory cd stacker went, not sure if all models had that but mine does.
Good point on being different ... never like anyone anyone else !

Beautiful Disco! I have an '01 and would like to do the raptor lining. I also have that same snorkel. Any advice on how to install it?
Thanks. That snorkel is worth $500. Just so you know. You have to cut your fender. It's not easy.
How liner did you ended up using? And whay prep work did you do to the paint, if any? Love the rig. Game me some ideas! 😉
I used Raptor Liner. I had to sand the whole truck with 120 grit sand paper. It wasn't too bad.
@DonFitzsimmons ok awesome! Sounds like a project for this fall! Do you remember how much you needed to cover the whole truck?
I think I used 10 quarts but I could have used 2 more.
If you could make another video for your accessories .. that would great my bro!

land rover used 2 different length steering stops. You have the longer stops. (I'm a fount of useless information.) Nice rig!
Looks good man👍🏻, I’m getting ready to drop a LS in mine. Do you have lockers on yours?
No lockers. Some day.

@@thesalesden9172 Actually, no, I didn't even have to remove the seat. The ARB compressor can lay sideways so it's pretty low profile.

Did you have any issue with rust and rain leaking in around the windshield edges?
Never had a problem with that.
Super xlnt Disco. 👍🏽🤙🏽✌🏽
Quick tip folks....
If you just flip the existing spare tire mount 180° it'll fit bigger tires.
Try it you'll like it! 🍻
Those seat covers are awesome. Can you still used the arms rest with it?
I really like them. Mine doesn't have arm rests, but I'm almost certain they do. Knights Bridge Overland is the brand.
Yes they do, just installed mine. These knightsbridge covers are durable and look better than I expected.
Very nice rig. Love that Raptor liner. Where did you relocate the windshield washer reservoir?
Thanks and good question. I still don't have one. It's on my list.
@@fitzventure same lol. I'm gonna get a rivnut tool and bolt it to the firewall on the passenger side
Where did you pick up the cross bars for the 04 thick roof rails. I can only find ones for the skinny older ones
I actually bought an '04 that pulled all kinds of parts from. Those bars are not easy to find.
