Thanks for showing us your great looking D2. I've owned a new D1 and D2 as company cars, plus another full spec 19 99 D2 purchased in 2002. Absolutely love these go anywhere vehicles but alas the 3 amigos finally killed off my last one due to water ingress from skylight down front column and into fuse board. Anyway, thanks to inspirational content such as yours, I'm now going buy my 4th D2..
@@disco2overland458 It's great you own land rovers at a young age. I've had my GEMS 4.6l P38 for 11 years. Once you own and drive the Disco you have and a P38 you'll never want another vehicle. It's like an addiction. A disadvantage to owning these in my part of the world is sourcing of spare parts. I've resorted to hoarding parts in my storage.
Beautiful rig! What is the color like on the LED headlights from headlight experts? (How white or yellow?) The stock headlights are pretty pitiful on my D2...
awesome video, just took over my dads disco 2 which was sitting for around 6 years without use. 67k miles, what are some things that i should be sure to check out or replace since its been inactive for so long?
Do you have any plans for the engine as you keep the truck? Mine has 195k on it, I plan on a Turner swap sometime. And did you notice any change in handline with the wheel spacers?
My plan is the drive it. If I can get to 200k I’d definitely consider an ls swap or something of that nature down the road. Spacers give it a better stance and stable ride for sure
hey ive got a question. i just picked up a 2003 discovery and im curious if removing the stock radio and fitting it with an aftermarket radio will trigger the EKA Lockout/Immobiliser? I was reading up in the manual that the anti theft system will kick on if the radio is unplugged from the battery.
I find it doesn’t bind up as much. Also if it were to snap it stores very little energy where nothing would happen where as the cable would snap and whip through the air and possible hurt someone or damage the truck bad. Many other reasons why it’s better I just personally don’t like cable winches
The plastic guards dont do anything. Ask me how I know.. lol. Also you really should mount the midlands Tina vertically and have the roof as a ground plane. I have the same unit/antenna
Show the engine, that is if you've mod it.I am wondering are there after market parts that stop the common problems with these model year Land Rovers. I want it to be reliable but they just had to go to a GM engine in these... .WHY Land Rover WHHHHYYYY... LOL.... I may have to and place a different engine within the car that doesn't blow head gaskets all the time and many other things. I have plans to live in a car for 2 years and mightiest well travel the US.
People are really starting to appreciate the discovery 2 now they have a few problems but overall they are extremely capable. Great video
One of the best off road vehicles I’ve ever owned! Extremely capable especially with centre diff lock and traction control.

Great videos, cant wait see more videos on this rig!!
Awesome disco 2 mate . Looks the dogs 🤘🤙
Great job dude, I have an 04 that I am currently building.
That’s Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Nice set up ! Lk8 and Atlantic British are my “go to’s”... the ultra gauge for me was a “must”. 3 amigos are ya friends. LoL
Nice project! Well done.
Thank you!
Land Rover discovery 2 es my favorita
Well done calling out horrible service. You had me laughing hard over here. Th power of having a popular platform.
It's amazing how you trust the parking brake on a Land Rover on that slippery ramp. But I love the rig.
You realize the car is in park right. The parking brake is a safety and I know it works because I fixed it

@@teddymazuri it’s a huge addiction lol
@@disco2overland458 I've never understood why people say they're hard to maintain. I take care of mine just fine. Everything is literally bolt on.
Nice video!
Thank you!
what did you use for the cross rails to hold the roof tent?
Awesome truck 👍👍

They are super bright white! Looks like a brand new car. Not yellow at all
I wish more people would mention scammers by name like this.
Love it dude. I recently started on one myself. Hope to one day do an LS swap.
Sweet thanks! If I can hit 200k then I’ll ls swap it. Gotta get my money’s worth out of the head gaskets first lol

Do you have problems whit the cars alarm and immobilizer?

@@disco2overland458 my plan exactly. Survive to 200k and plan a swap.

Hi! What is the name of the trip computer you have near steering wheel? Where can I buy one?
Great rig!
Ultra Gauge
Why is the synthetic better than the cable?

Check out OverLandRover
Will do! Spread the word for disco2 overland too! New video at 850 subs

No wonder those lights aren’t the best. The PIAA brand logo covers half the light lol
They work really well
How old are you bro?

Mk2 and 3 are my favorite Discovery generarions. I like the MK1 too but it's too small for today's standards
