The only company that has been caught multiple times over and over every year screwing their customers over to get more money out of them, and they still keep buying into it. Imagine buying a car and when you get new tires you can only take it back to the dealer to get that car companies tires, and they cost 200% above everyone else's tires. Imagine that same car is forbidden by that car company to drive on any roads except for the ones that they deem you can ride on(App store, "sideloading") Yet you guys still buy the car and say "But it looks so sleek, and lets be honest you don't need to drive on those roads".
The biggest problem I have with apple is software longevity, you can be spending over $3000 for a super powerful computer, BUT when apple pulls the plug for software updates, they claim your computer is 'obsolete" but yet you have something with 64gb of ram, a high end i7 or i9 cpu ( I don't own that powerful of a intel Mac but you know what I mean). I already know that the new silicone chips have better efficiency and speeds and I'm also considering upgrading to one. but that doesnt mean I absolutely need it either.
I bought a 2011 MacBookPro and patched to to run Ventura😂. Just look around and hack it. At it's core Apple is Unix, the terminal is actually useful. I'm a linux guy though so the process was pretty pedantic. I'd say to those that want to switch to Mac to get used to doing stuff on your own.

Intel is 64 bit and silicon 64 bit, however we can’t run BG3 is bs on Apple. An newer hardware can’t run older software and games. While on windows can run 32 and 64 bit

Im considering putting macOS sonoma on my 11" MacBook Air from 2015@@macgamer1973 it seems to run well on older macs like yours. (also I forgot apple once made 17" laptops, thats pretty cool man!
I find kinda ironic how all Apple fanboys talk about how everything "just works" on their devices.
Yet, for example. For a Mac you can't have split screen windows (or they're called Macs?) for different programs. Your taskbar or dock sucks (and idk why on Earth Microsoft said "let's copy that" for W11 but whatever) the Task Manager just shows the icons. You can't have a Maximised Window using the MAXIMISE button, it creates a separated FULLSCREEN virtual desktop for that program.
The Close, Maximise and Minimise buttons are ABSURDLY SMALL and have basically NO HITBOX you have to point right to the Traffic Lights center to make them work.
And a lot ot those problems you have to solve them using EXTERNAL PLUGINS AND THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE.
So, the "IT JUST WORKS" slogan you can SHOVE IT right to your @SS.
Moving audio files from my mac to iphone "doesn't just works", Music must delete all current audio files first than copy over content. Playing flac or OGG files on my Mac or iphone "doesn't just work" nope sorry i can only use file formats that Apple want their consumers to use. Of Course i can use a 3rd party app but why doesn't a so-called advance modern mobile or Mac OS allow their uses to do basic simple task. Using Windows I with a Android device i can use any PC to drag file to & from via Bluetooth or USB . Windows or Android I can play any audio file using the default audio app. If it wasn't for Logic Pro I would happily throw all my apple products away.

you can't argue with crazy people... I used to be an apple fanboy, and I wasn't listening to anyone from the other side.... fortunately I found a gaming phone I like with android, and o windows gaming laptop. I haven't used Macos as my main drive for ... about 7 years
The "ecosystem" outside apple already exists, as universal standards, like headphone jack, usb, bluetooth and so on, and has been working for ages, reliably, and backwards compatible.
i think you haven't tried the apple product connectivity. you are right, these are standards and they do work, but not as seamlessly, and seamlessness is what it all is about
For AirDrop there's Nearby or Quickshare if you're with Samsung.
Technically both, that's the grace of Android the CHOICE.
Also don't forget DEX.
And can we talk how IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2023 the most EXPENSIVE iPhone in the market still can't do something that a LOW COST Android phone can do since like 2018... SPLIT SCREEN MULTITASKING!

so let me get this straight: hooking up your android phone to the pc with the cable and hitting "transfer files" on the 3 option pop up that will pop on the phone screen and then putting the files on a folder on the phone or the sd card, like you would do with an external hard drive or a usb thumb drive is "super hard stuff foreal", but having to use itunes like you had to do for YEARS before airdrop existed to move those files to your iphone and on top of that having to wait a very long time for itunes to convert those files to something the iphone wound recognize.... that was perfectly fine until airdrop was released
I remember when I got a super cheap and shitty chinese android phone, totally bottom of the barrell, at the time the iphone 4 was the latest model, hooking up the cable to the pc, moving a short movie to the phone and playing it with vlc or some other standard player straight away, then, getting into file manager app on the phone and deleting it, while my friend was tripping because he could not do that with his iphone 4 who would need to load up itunes, move the file and then wait until the conversion was done..... for EVERY file he copied
Airdrop is amazing. I wish my fullframe camera had airdrop. Its so good that i wish apple created a full frame camera some day
And even for people who haven't got a clue with tech , they could just open Google Photos on the PC and see all their photos that way after the app has backed them up to the cloud.

Don’t have problems with my IPad but the IPhone 12 I got goes black , in middle of phone conversations .
My friend's phone of pro max variant of 12 also does this and it has bad battery life

@@TSTechGear Phone link on my Windows pc does the photo transfer automatically and then there is multiple choices between different cloud solutions if you want that.
at least these solutions are not something like airdrop that is only available for Apple products.
Apple Stage Manager for the iPad is a f(u)ck(i)ng joke.
While for example on Samsung you have Dex that isn't just "Overrated Floating Windows Multitasking" it literally turns the devices into a more Desktop Mode experience.
Perhaps in the early days when windows and android were pretty terrible and crashed a lot, Apple's expensive premium made sense but now they've caught up in terms of optimization and surpassed in terms of features and Apple is still stuck in the past in early 2010s. There's its starting to show up holes in their beautiful walled garden. Day goes by and it gets more and more infested with pests and Apple doing nothing. iCloud still the worst cloud service, there's no calculator on iPad and the existing ones on Mac and iPhone still look like something Charles Babbage invented in 18th century, apps an their optimization are not so flawless as UA-camrs claim to be, and Macs are still shipping with 256 GB SSDs and 8 GB Rams, their products get as unrepairable as possible year after year. I can go on but think I've made my point. Apple needs to change its philosophy at least for the sake of the environment it cares about so deeply
I used some devices from the "early days" of android (versions 2 and 4) and they worked just fine and it was on budget devices
Cripple goes out of their way to make their shit not play well with anything else, and even the things that do work see often mind bogglingly frustrating
Apple products have worse longevity than even a decade old Android phone (GALAXY III) As it got tons of community support all the way up to about Android 12 and still can run software quite okay

I gotta say I love Apple throughout the years whenever innovating and showing differences and software and hardware but now I’m just giving up on them very very shortly if they don’t do well with software and newer products because everything is exact same every year, but if nothing changes this year from Apple, I am done. I will be getting my last Macand switching to PC and I will be getting my last iPad mini five but that’s gonna be much it the iPhone 15 Pro Pro Max, and all the other stuff that goes along with that or the exact same phones from recent years Apple she can actually argue with that
Apple hasn't inovated anything since Jobs died. It's really that simple. The cult members can't admit the truth. You love the brand and marketing not the products and services. People that claim Apple just works are in denial or lying. I support Apple 5 days a week it doesn't just work with anything but itself and even then not all the time. I love hearing the frustation in Apple users when basic tasks take up hours of their day but they will never admit the root cause is the device and platform they're using. It's always the other companies fault. It's hilarious.

I think the EU understood that... I've! been saying this for years after I left apple. the ecosystem it's a trap... worst of all people love this trap. when the money runs out or when they finally wake up, it's too late. they would trade their arm for an iPhone... it's honestly scary.

I'm retired now, but for 30+ years I worked in IT mainly at AT&T (70's and 80's) and IBM (90's and 00's). You'd think that I would be one of those who have gone through every kind of computer there is. But, no. I "discovered" Macs in the 90's with a dual-G5 Mac Pro which Apple later replaced with an Intel Mac Pro (when the water cooled G5 started leaking) in 2004. And that's what I'm writing this comment on. Now for me that's a real value proposition. Yes, I paid a lot for the G5 version, but amortized over 19 years I find it difficult to complain. I also bought a 2009 Mac mini to act as my home entertainment server. Both work with each other seamlessly. Having said that I'm on the lookout to replace my Mac mini entertainment server and my Pro with two Mac minis hence my stumbling onto your channel because I'm seeking all kinds of perspectives. It is always a good idea to question if the decisions made are still valid. The apple eco-system is working well AND the user data are reasonably kept safe. Apple earns the "apple tax" (high price, less fancy functionality) with its promise not to use user data other than for the contracted apple services. As long as I have trust in this promise I stay inside this eco-system.

I don’t like the eco system you cant run Mac OS older Mac’s. Windows 10 runs great on my Mac Pro 2010, while Apple tell f your Mac Pro 2010

The reason the hardware and software isnt going anywhere. Because the original designers and programmers of the iphone all left Apple. They still work as a team. But their projects are built around other companies that pay top dollar for their work. They left a long long time ago. Back when they made webOS their new project. Which was a beautiful design. It had the feeling of apple programming, with android structure. It died in its infancy. Because the owners of the company screwed over the programmers. After that. They surfed on over to Microsoft. Remember the microsoft smartphone. Well... they designed its programming too. In a nutshell. Maybe one day they will make a full circle. The day Apple gets a second bite. Would be entertaining.

But i have to disagree that apple ecosysyem just works. My macbook air m1 does not even connecto my bluetooth earhones. I was surprised. Wifi slows down whn bluetooth is on. I think this slogan , it just works is overrated when it comes to macbook even imac or mac mini

You said in your last video what you shouldn't have said from your other video about apple and now getting against apple again than loving apple again. Hey I've been there, I've switched back and forth between Mac and PC 8 times last year 2022. Don't do the same, don't sell buy sell buy sell buy sell buy sell buy sell buy over and over and over again. Don't do it, don't be that way. What I've personally learned is to just keep both and like both and stop going well apple sucks, wait no microsoft sucks. I use to be the same exact way. I was always but this is better. Sorry guys this is better. NO MORE! Wake up and just use both and stop buying over and over and over again.

@@TSTechGear Yeah for me it's apple has iMovie and time machine and a built in easy to use screen recorder. But on Windows PC I like a real wheel on the mouse and that you can game on windows way more. I use to be a big youtuber under the name of viciousdave119 and viciousdave4life. People on youtube really influenced me to go back and forth, so just have both. But overall I really don't like that Macs are way overpriced.

Their computers are literally impossible to upgrade or repair.

If it did, you could use it with anything, not just other Apple junk. Seriously, you can't even cast to Apple TVs. Using Apple is like living on North Sentinel Island: completely cut off from the rest of the world living in poverty where basic things are difficult to accomplish.

And yet, I love Apple, time machine, Safari browser, iCloud and probably always will. I could never replace Safari with Microsoft Edge or even Firefox. Many Windows users secretly hate Windows (fanboys will not admit it). OneDrive and Samsung MyPhone are similar to airdrop but it is not easy to do.
