ALISSA, CAN YOU PLEASE SHARE SOME EXERCISES TO PREPARE FOR SHOULDER SURGERY? THANKS
Sorry if this posts twice. This is awesome! I have rheumatoid arthritis and noticing I'm getting weaker, knees, hips, feet, all weaker. I jumped out of bed to give it a try. It was incredibly difficult and I had to lightly place my foot staggered for the first few reps but then after 5 or so, i could do it one legged! Yay! This is going to help balance, hip flexors, as well as all over strength. I did 2 sets of 10 then subscribed! Thank you!

Very nice 👍 knowledge of knees pain is the most important thing in my mind and I don't know how to get the latest information on knees pain stiffness and stuck jam joints 😢
Thanks and welcome
Hi, Alyssa! I’ve been using a vibrator on my lower back when my arthritis pain increases. I’m wondering what thoughts you have about this. Probably not good for knee arthritis,or hand, but in the back, where the bones are not close to the surface, it works well to stimulate blood flow.
Massage guns can be helpful to some for painful muscles but likely not painful joints themselves. Effectiveness depends on your pain levels, sensitivity, if swelling is present, and the intensity of the massage gun itself usually.

What about a tens unit ? Do you think they help pain ?
what ball do you recommend for massaging the knee. I have knee OA
Icy Hot Patches work wonders for me. I also use Icy cold gel and extra strength rub. They both work wonders.
Awesome video 😊 thanks here's a challenge , isometric exercises and pain relief for severe OA in shoulder

Any thoughts on light therapy?
My doctor recommended Voltaren and it has really helped with my knee arthritis.
That’s great to hear! I know many people who have had success with using it.
Pls send me conect to hand joints pain thanks
Funny I’ve been using ice trying to help my knee and 10 minutes of direct heat helped a lot… Thanks for the reminder..
No problem!!

I go bone to bone in my knees doc won't me have surgery but I don't won't to be cut on I have pain in my knees an got gout in feet thank for video I been taking pain pills but don't won't stay on them
Hi. Do knee sleeves do the same that compresion socks do? I have severe osthroartritis in the hip, lumbar spinal stenosis, a lot of paun in the knees, protonutria.
They can have very similar effects
I can't go out alone at the moment. I'll try anything!HIPS!
Hi, Can you pls advise anything for elbow? Thanks //Rizwana
what about hip joint?
What about low back pain?
Great tips. Thank you so much. Believe it or not, i've found shea butter to be very soothing for my osteoarthritic R knee. I'm 67 and i like rubbing a lump of it between my palms until it melts and then i massage my knee. Then, i pull on my knee compression sleeve and go for a walk. It's especially perfect to use in the cold weather as it insulates against the cold. I'm not suggesting it's as a RX strength analgesic or anything, i've just found that my knee hurts less after using it.
Thanks for sharing!!
I have cronic low back pain, don't know what to do anymore after trying many things starting with medication, tooic creams, acuputure, phyio etc.
I'm surprised you saìd that more people prefer heat. I crave cold therapy on my hands, because heat just increases the inflammation. Cold is soothing and seems to reduce the inflammation just a bit
I am just the opposite. If I use ice, it increases the pain, but heat seems to make everything feel just a bit better. It's crazy how different we all are!❤
I fell 2 months ago and injured a muscle. I am now able to get in/out of bed. Have started doing your exercises with out pain!! However I think it is fear that is slowing me down to a crawl. Before the fall my only problem was my lower back from disk, and off and on pain in knees.
San Po nabibili Yung voltaren
Hey Alyssa, both those didn't work for me, but the ARNICA spray worked really well and FAST. the gel did nothing. Thought i would share what's worked for me. Also I use knee tensors and help to ready swelling.
My best advice would be to stay living in a warm climate if you can - England in the cold and wet is a killer for arthritis pain whatever remedies you apply!
Hi, Alyssa! I have arthritis in my lumbar area (right side). Occasionally, I inadvertently pull my upper thigh muscle on my left side. A chiropractor told me that my pelvis is twisted, but she didn’t give me any exercises to do at home. Can you suggest any?
Your pelvis can’t quite get twisted as the bones are very stable. But you could have some asymmetries or muscle imbalances that allow you to move in a certain way to compensate. It’s important to address asymmetries if they exist (I.e one side weaker than the other, off balance, etc). I would start with a workout like this and see if you notice any side to side differences: ua-cam.com/video/t-hEIomHaAU/v-deo.html
If you need further assistance I do offer one on one consults for a movement assessment to help you find these asymmetries: calendly.com/adventurealive/movement-assessment?back=1&month=2022-01
Hey, do you have a list of best creams to use other than voltrun?
Here are two others that may be helpful:
Arthritis wonder: amzn.to/3eWFehv
Biofreeze: amzn.to/3qQDTyj
I swear by CBD balm or salve.
I ove your exercises and your approach; thank you so very much…how about Lidocaine? My doc told me it is ok to mix cbd( no thc) with lidocaine and voltaran…works quickly and is long lasting(relatively speaking)
Years ago, wise old family doc suggested using an ice pack on arthritic joints for a few minutes, followed quickly by a heat pack (the thought being that the heat application causes blood to rush into the painful area after it had been iced and that helped the pain). Any thoughts on this?
Hmm I haven’t heard of that 🤷🏼♀️
Are there any compression sleeves without nylon? I have an odd skin allergy.
unfortunately I am not sure of any that come to mind but I'm sure they exist!
Can you talk about osteoarthritis in the hips
I have a decent amount of videos on the channel about hips, you can start with this one for front of hip pain!
ua-cam.com/video/wdTu0AQfAA8/v-deo.html
I currently have stiffness and swelling in left knee..had three gel injections and steroid injection one month ago and MRI was fine just showing arthritis with fluid. Don't know what else to do
Have you tried any of these suggestions? Movement is going to be your best friend, it’s just all about finding the right movements without flaring up your pain once pain levels have decreased.
@@arthritisadventure I will try your suggestions in the video and see what happens..thank you for responding.
Doctor where to buy that cream for osteoarthritis I’m in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 any shop to buy that ? Thank U
I’m honestly not sure.
I believe Voltaren said not to use on your back. Why is that and what's a better alternative?
there isn't really a good reason I could find besides it hasn't been studied based off a quick search. You could try a menthol base for lower back as long as it is cleared and safe for your personal use.
🙏🙏🙏
I been using a frozen clay wrap 😯 for at least 15 minutes, should i stop? How cold.?
Ice can be okay, I would limit the time to about 15-20 minutes at a time if you can!
I can't seem to reduce the inflammation.
Somehow I missed day three of the Arthritis challenge. How can I watch it?
Here is the link to Day 3! ua-cam.com/users/live8ZVGM8aTBck
A chilled soda can works magic for groin pain!
Interesting! I have arthritis in my lower back, and have noticed that I never feel more comfortable, than when I am wearing snug yoga pants! Great video!
I'm glad you liked the video!
🙏❤️
Thanks for watching!
What about diet? diet can make a HUGE difference!
Hello my test results do not show any arthritis , broken bone, damaged ligament, miniscus or anything like that butvi do have a cyst. Doctors say cyst is not the cause if pain. One, I have pain around my patella and when I walk I have a stuck feeling. I mean something is stuck or bothering in my knee. Can you please help me. My name is Baljit.
how are u now
Are you related to Denise Austen, the fitness coach?
I’m not
People using Voltaran should wash their hands after applying if they have pets. Cats, especially react to the toxicity of Voltaran, if they ingest it after you pet them with it on your hands.
Good to know!
Thanks for that advice!
Please can u let me know I which country I can see u and address
A doctor told me, heat would make my joints swell
