IT was silly years ago, it's just finally caught up that most of the community cannot hide it no more.
It's crazy to think my walmart had simpsons and nfl blitz at $199.00 about 2 years ago and I didn't buy them at that price.
Same for me: I had no interest in a censored BLITZ, and the Simpson's cab is so deeply flawed and has such a poor game selection (2 games on a $700 cab? WTF?) that the only reason to buy it was to mod. Maybe at $99 I'd do it, but again only to mod or resell.

I got Simpsons for 199 with the stool riser and light up marquis. It wasn't a sale either. I went back to buy more and the whole section was gone.
I was really close to buying the Galaga deluxe at 400 from Walmart. My better angels prevailed.
It's just not a $400 cab. $299 I can see, but not $400. That time has passed. A huge part of the problem is that they were 2 years too late with the Deluxe design - and by the time they came out, everyone wanted XL's... which they're still waiting for.
The Simpsons $699? LOL!!! What's not funny though is some goof will probably buy it at $699 thinking he out smarted Arcade 1Up by buying during the holidays.😂😂 Poor chump!
Who knows, they might go on some crazy sale on Black Friday, but at $600 they might as well ask a thousand - it's just as silly a price.

I remember when my wife I asked if I wanted to get it. I told her naw I can get a PS5 for that price.

I paid the $599.99 for Simpsons with Stool . I live in a very rural area mostly farmland so they are hard to find. Import taxes will put that nail last in the coffin 😔

No new title coming, at least anytime soon... but they definitely need a sale on these cabs.
I was tempted at getting the MK cab but even at $399 it's way too much.
If it was $250-300, I may have gone for it.
Not a single Arcade 1 Up product is worth more than a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S.
Well, value is individual I suppose. One man's trash and all that. But I agree that as a basic rule, no A1up cab with normal buttons/joysticks is worth more than $299... the shooters/driving games and specialty cabs like STAR WARS and TRON are, but they are the exception not the rule.

Well that's the thing - I don't know that they will. I man you'd have thought that all those Blitz's, Big Blue's, and Simpson's would have finally seen enough dust in those warehouses and been blown out a long time ago. Basically everything with a riser is now at least 2 years old, and probably older yet you see Simpson's sitting there at $699... it's madness.

Dan, I do like (most) of their machines, particularly the one player vertical builds. But A1up's pricing schemes have always been frustrating, and now they're just straight up bizarre.

@@evilgeniusentertainment Was the original price of the Simpsons cab $699? I don’t think it was. If it wasn’t, this reminds me of their pinball machines. They came out at $500 then went to $550 now they have them as high as $750 and then put them on sale for $500-$550 where they were originally. Everyone knows their pinball machines have issues in overheat. Comparing them to at games. They are not worth the price. I just don’t understand how they price cabs.
