@newstandardaccount the part in the hidden trap room where you have to shift is cheap because you can go through the spinning blue spikes but if you shift before you hit the ground you still get hit even if the spikes are behind you
It's not as bad as the hidden floor (due to its volume of different patterns to remember). Not sure if people realized but depending on if the pillars are going up or down your ability to climb up is more smooth or sluggish. It's like a manipulation in gravity. So as you go up you need to time it between these intervals to make it more consistent and easier. Also leave a shadow clone at the bottom so when you get the third bell you don't have to worry about losing on your way back down, you can just instant transmission
The fact that I did "The Impossible Climb" COMPLETELY differently and I did it twice really speaks to how well designed this game is IMO. Well...except for that BS on the hidden floor. Thank goodness there's a cheat for that one.
I knew that the hidden floor trap room would be on first place dude. I mean the real hard part was remembering the order since u have nearly no time to react😅but these are the things that make the game challenging and great dude. I hope this series will continue exactly like this dude
I found a sneaky workaround for the trap room where as you jump up, you keep hanging underneath but the door stays open and the game activates. The entire room goes through the motion without you in it. At the end you just jump up 🤣 found it by mistake
Just finished the game today, the fact that some of these hard platforming sections are part of the main quest absolutely put me on the brink of insanity. Game is fun, very addictive, super challenging, but at the same time it made me rage to the point where I start talking to myself like a psycopath, especially when you insta-die on a platforming section of spikes, red crystal rocks etc… and have to restart from the beginning made me go insane.
So you aren't playing it!? It hasn't replayability then, back then in the trilogy players were replaying those games for tenths if not hundreds of times, so addictive they were. Even now I'm replaying them occasionally at GOG.

Great list! I struggled to figure out the way to do #5, and #1 took forever. I haven't gotten to #2 or #4 yet but this video will certainly help, thanks!
In my opinion there were some sections in the sand pits that were harder than some of the ones listed. #3 I got through on the first try and didn’t even have my chakram teleport yet. But the #1 puzzle was insane and took me countless tries to get it perfectly.
@dreafetr I think I'm at the end, on the last boss. I think I miss a coin or two as well, nut I got most... and the impossible climb. That thing is madness. Since I died facing big bad V., I think I'll give it another try at the next pass since I have the option to restart at the tree.
Great video! I agree. All these sections were some of the hardest in the game! They were very challenging! But it was rewarding and satisfying once you finish it. But some of these sections took me many, many tries to beat them. Lots of learning and repetition. This is such a great platforming and metroidvania type game! Great video really enjoyed it!!!Subscribing!
I agree! As a soulsborne player and a huge fan of prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and The Flame on the SNES, I give the lost crown a 10/10. Thoroughly enjoyed this. While a bit challenging, it was so rewarding. Love the soundtrack and level design too. Ubisoft knocked it out of the park with the abilities as well.
Nice vid! Agreed with 1 and 2. Personally I didn't find 4 that bad, I had more trouble with the parrot mission, and the other Xerxes coin in the 5 area. (Although it was annoying that I missed some things in the village/sea and had to redo it.) A lot of the difficulty in this game is trial and error, especially with the platforming. Which is great as the game teaches you to get better while still requiring a level a skill to progress.
Oh man, call me old school, but the difficulty of these sections only made them more satisfying to complete. Cheers and rock on to everyone else who is trying to 100% complete this game!
In this vid the Sacred Archives and the Upper City without Chakram teleport are surprisingly doable, but yeah they were so frustrating. Not in this video but definitely nigthmare inducing as well are the crystal caves with the giant worms and smashing pillars on both left and right side of the Giant snake boss. There's also the level approaching near the upper west constellation that has crazy platforming (you have to do jump leave image, dash back teleport to image multiple times) and there are two diagonal jumps with very tight clearance.
Great Video. Would agree with all of them but not in that particular Order. For me Platforming Sections where you dont have time to Breath are the Hardest ones. Because of that i think the "impossible Climb" was way easier than the Xerxes Coin you showed on #5. On the Climb you can stay for 5 minutes on the same spot to think trough your next steps while on the Xerxes Coin section you have to get through the whole Parcour in one go without that many saving spots to pause.
Yeah that's fair. I ranked them based on how long it took me to get them down in one go. The Impossible Climb gave me some trouble because of how precise you needed to be with those short spiked pillars.
@@StoneEdgeGamingI actually had zero trouble with the impossible climb surprisingly. The trap room took me about 15 minutes to get done though, it was tricky. No way anyone gets that on their first try either, unless they watch a video beforehand, to know where to preemptively put your clone to teleport to.
@@StoneEdgeGaming Oh yeah it feels amazing to move Sargon around, especially once you unlock all the abilities. I was just exploring when I found #5. Decided it wasn't worth the Xerxes. 2:20 Ran #3 without the Chakram Shadow ability. Turns out you can dash between those spikes, but it's a pain!
Also I think the platforming challenge in the upper left part of the sand pits map is harder than a lot of the challenges listed here. I think it was the hardest one in the game for me.
My biggest issue is that the blue phasing in/out obstacles are actually buggy. Ive died to blue spinning blades a full second or 2 after phase shifting. It's pretty bad and resets runs unfairly.
I love those jumping passages. At the first tries you think it is just impossible to do and that you will never make it. But with every try you get a little bit futher. And when you managed to pull it off it is a great feeling. Coming from the Ori games I knew I had to get this game once I saw the first gamplay of it. Big success.
If you enjoy platforming like this in a metroidvania and haven’t checked out Aeterna Noctis yet then you’re sleepin. Crazy platforming sections but usually more for the completionist and not the necessary items. Controls are air tight and feel even better than they do in this game. The sequel is coming out this year too
After hours of trying that Trap room (#1) I gave up at those "falling" saws... and now I see that my last try I actually died on the last row of saws...
Some of these (all of them) are straight up PAIN. The Pit has some nightmare platforming as well. I could swear some traps kill you even if you are not touching them. Personally, I also had a headache-inducing section in another part of the Upper City, where you have to keep jumping from poles and constantly switch worlds at a fast pace, otherwise purple/blue saws in the way would kill you. It was awkward already with keyboard controls (you have C for world-switching, so you have to let go of D to press it, and yet you are expected to somehow press both together). But, I also had 4 saws bugged, so they would often kill me even if they were supposed to be inactive. That was a nightmare of attempts with a random chance of success, since you didn't know if they saws would work this one time or not and you had no choice but to go through them. Yet, I must compliment the developpers - they sure weren't pulling any punches with the parkour. I appreciate the puzzles and them trying their best to challenge us.
I think a big problem with some of these traversal puzzles is that they’re very much trial and error (since you don’t know what’s coming until you hit it) and require you to follow some very precise steps in exact order. I pretty much gave up on completing the more difficult ones.
Afaik when I did the trap room at the beginning of the game it was easier and shorter as I couldn't teleport. ...unless I'm mixing it up with something else.....

But I had to force myself to stop and take a breath with #5 and #1. Repeatedly.
@@marcuslai6115 you should. Some parts are rly challenging, but at the same time the game teaches you in a way that emphasizes the parts that you failed, making you say "yes, I did that wrong this time" every time you try. Unlike PoP's "The Impossible Climb" challange, you'll get frustrated at times, but overall you'll have fun playing. I also think Celeste is one of the most fluid and best games in terms of ground and mid-air character control and that makes the platforming of the game enjoyable. Have fun🥳
Someone on reddit said he was friends with one of the developers of this game, and that they told him they made this game difficult to please those gamers who love challenging games. They included options to turn down the difficulty for those who were having trouble. But then my question is why not make the game with a normal difficulty and add options to turn it up for those who want the extra challenge? No gamer is too thrilled about having to turn down the difficulty of any game. Im almost done with the game and haven't gotten stuck in any area for too long, but i can easily see why some players are having too much trouble with some parts of this game.
5 was definitely waaaaay harder than 3 and 4, and what about that section in the samd pits talhat has a coin and a health piece, that shot was unforgiving as well
A single Xerxes is a baffling reward for the first one. That item practically becomes useless halfway through. You can empty out the scrapyard with just the ones you find on your direct path, and how many amulets are you going to fully upgrade? Most people probably settle on an amulet build immediately, and even on an Immortal playthrough I struggle to imagine why anyone would use more than 8 or 9 in circulation.
I had no ideas you could hold triangle and morph into the wheel that’s insane. Il have to try that tomorrow. I done number 5 today trying to clean some things up. I had no idea if was even harder to come. Your videos will help thanks for doing them
i had a lot of problems with the impossible climb because for some unknown reason after using the grappler the second jump isn't always the same height. also why do you have to wait for the first plattform to come down on every try? also the trap room would be more fun if you din't have to memorize the full width spikes.
I played that last section blind. I thought to myself that as hard as it was, there must be something amazing at the end of it. 30 minutes later...a skin. That looks exactly like all the others. Except purple.
I beat the game in under 30hrs but I gave up on #1 its way to long and it kept bugging out on me. Sometimes the entrance on the floor would not close so you could fall through it while trying to do the challenge. Incredibly annoying just for an outfit I won’t ever wear.

Does the accessibility option work for these sections to? I noticed theres an option to basically bypass all platforming sections... Do they mean this? Or does is do it for you but you dont get the item?

"The Impossible Climb" is by far the most difficult one imo. This section harder than entire Celeste gameplay for me.
i have to go back and try celeste then. i was quite put off by the difficulty and quit very early on when it came out
@@marcuslai6115 you should.
Have fun🥳
For the #1, I had a cool bug, the trap door on the floor was still open, I just started the event and waited outside… 😅😂
Nice, me to 😂
if you want to make the #5 puzzle alot easier leave a clone at the middle wall hook part and just go back to that once you have the coin.
You lose the coin when you use clone.
5 was definitely waaaaay harder than 3 and 4, and what about that section in the samd pits talhat has a coin and a health piece, that shot was unforgiving as well
Yes! The sand pit one was even harder than #5 for me. Definitely belongs on this list. But, at least that one had appropriate rewards!
@@djrobx yea, it had 2 xerces coins and a health piece, so it was worth it, but damn some of these sections had me ready to pull my hair out
A single Xerxes is a baffling reward for the first one.
How to turn the purple platform to solid and vice-versa? 2:35
I had no ideas you could hold triangle and morph into the wheel that’s insane. Il have to try that tomorrow. I done number 5 today trying to clean some things up. I had no idea if was even harder to come. Your videos will help thanks for doing them
My current progress is facing Kiana right now.
When I watch number five. I'm like WHAT!!!!! It's only the fifth hardest?
i had a lot of problems with the impossible climb because for some unknown reason after using the grappler the second jump isn't always the same height. also why do you have to wait for the first plattform to come down on every try?
also the trap room would be more fun if you din't have to memorize the full width spikes.
So when I played the hidden floor trap room, my game glitched and left the bottom grate open so I got a free pass on that one
Nah you gotta add the “red rocks” level.
Why everyone has that little bird since the beginning ? I finished the whole story and don’t have it
Deluxe edition
@@ethancrosby2573 oh, thanks. I hope they release, I really enjoyed this game. There’s potential even for online PVP
That first one for a damn xerxes coin? These are fierce puzzles hand and forearm crippling.
Beaten three of these. Can't get the other two because I'm missing a critical component. The whip.
Are these five hardest sections a must for the platin trophy?
would have expected the soma tree petal in the pit of eternal sands (north west) to be on the list.
Thank you so so. so much with video i was finally able to the UpperCity Platforming Section Thank you once again you rock you amazing amazing legend. 👍
Very kind of you! You're welcome 😁
These are optionnals, right ? Right ?
Does the accessibility option work for these sections to? I noticed theres an option to basically bypass all platforming sections... Do they mean this? Or does is do it for you but you dont get the item?
The bypass platforming option doesn’t apply for these puzzles since they are for bonus items/skills. If it did, this game would be too easy!
I managed all of these jumping puzzles #1 was infuriating but i found the jumping puzzke to find the pirates parrot worse because at the time i didnt have double jump.
Well…it looks like I won’t be finishing the game! Wow!
I finished the sewer part then uninstalled it. No way I'm doing this bollocks 😂
@@Legendarysetsandtapepacks I keep pressing on. Then I get to another section like this and I'm like why??? Why???!!! But - I keep going. It's my sadistic side I guess.
It can be on par with Celeste and Aeterna Noctis challenging level. Now i really like these challenges.
😊😊❤❤❤
That trap room is truly a work of a psychopath.
I had no issues with these except for your number 5 haha that one was the hardest to me lol also it’s cool to see you completed them completely different from how I did. This game definitely is amazing
1 and 5 were the only ones I couldn't accomplished or at least not yet.
You forgot to show the 2nd half of #5, there's another coin to the right before you go up
The hidden floor trap room had me tearing my hair. All that to get an off colour costume that i dont even like
the top 1 deserved it. how long did it take you to get the timing right?
I came across #3 before I got the teleport chakram, making it harder than it needed to be lol.
At the end of the day, #1 can be cheesed, everyone knows about the quick teleport trick, but The Impossnible Climb cannot be cheesed or skipped. Gotta go with that as #1.
I can never do no.5! The red crystal sands ones are difficult as well. 👍👍
