Who else remembers when Nyma ONLY used to use foundation that matches her neck(which is lighter) and eyeshadow as countour? I feel like since she’s been on youtube, shade ranges have improved a lot :)
In one of her video she found a foundation that was darker for her. Love this change in shade ranges💕❤

Glad that she found a way to blend her foundation and concealer well to make it look like her head is not floating on her body. Using the foundation that matches the neck and body is very basic. But with her skin condition it takes more than that. And she achieved a great result by experimenting on foundation and concealer

People suck, I have always thought that your skin looked so healthy and gorgeous. I didnt read the shine as oil it just looked hydrated I love when my skin has a little highlight to it I always feel like it is a testament to skincare well done.
She's also sitting under really bright lights so that adds to the reflect but like... her skin just looks healthy? I don't think it's ever looked greasy at all!

I’m learning that hydration is my friend. And powder before foundation has become my fave technique to keep the shine down and looking fresh all day. Brightening the under eyes? YES! So much validation here but still learning! Also they put a Kobe commercial as one of your ads. Thankfully I wasn’t wearing mascara. Mamba forever.
I’m legit interested in powder before foundation. Why? What are you using? Does it not like peel off the powder when you put your foundation? I’m honestly confused and curious cuz I feel like I’m missing out on something. The FOMO is real lol
alicia kowalski when you have oily skin, the powder acts like a place holder to keep your foundation from sliding off as you wear it through the day. I still have to do touch ups but not nearly as many as I used too. I use the MaryKay mattifying primer, then the Milk Hydrogrip primer, my setting powder, then go through the rest of my routine.

No. I'm pale af and still powder my face like crazy because I just don't like that dewy look. I jnderstand that her dark skin (and therefore her camera settings) will make it look more extreme than on a pale skin but that doesn't mean that people hate it just because of her complexion.

Im as white as they come (literally couldn't be any paler if i tried) and i have to say, i love watching your videos. It has opened my eyes to how unfair the beauty community has been to women of color (i think a lot of brands are moving in the right direction, but many are still lacking in inclusivity). And ive learned a lot as far as the differences in how black women have to apply makeup, how important the right undertone is, how certain products wont show up at all, etc. Its truly a whole new world of makeup. The black community is lucky to have your channel, youre truly a great resource for others struggling to find the right color/brand for them. Its amazing watching you navigate the world of makeup and youre so beautiful Nyma!
