Happy Sunday everyone! I cant believe I've hit 10k 🤩🤩🤩😭😭😭😭😭 thank you to each every one of you! I am so happy and blessed to be here with you guys, I truly appreciate everyone that's join the Sydassz Crew ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A whole 10K YESSSSSSS! Super happy for your girl - 🥂Here’s to another 10 sis and much much more! Great review also - I absolutely love the honey powder and the feel of it! I totally get you in-terms of it not being a true or deeper shade of honey. X
Yes that’s because they use it as a under eye setting powder. And i’m like uuhhmm its a dark powder what do you expect??? So dark skinned ladies shouldn’t have a powder that machtes ???
@@olivia23 🤣🤣 yeah... But I think medium deep on deep/dark skin to still works well. It may not be as brightening as a translucent powder but it does something x
I think it is more of an undertone problem because i’m really dark skin (almost like Nyma Tang) and the medium deep is to orange/reddish and doesn’t work for my skin color because I have more of a neutral undertone I was also very surprised at first that the translucent one looked better on me than the medium deep, but that’s because it suits my undertone better. I definitely wanna try the new honey one tho, looks like it can be the perfect compromise between too « bright » and too « orangy » for me.
I like the shade medium deep. It’s not brightening persay but I just use bright concealer like you do. I’m surprised how light honey is tho! Very underwhelming. Thanks for this video x
Laura Mercier is the setting powder I keep going back to. I got the original pretty soon after it’s release, which is different for me. I watch a product for a while before I buy it. But this powder was so hyped, and looks so good on reviews that I got it and was not disappointed! My undereye looks Flawless when I use it and it last without looking dry and cracked up. I never got it in Medium Deep because I felt that the translucent did the job great. I got it in Honey, and I still love it. Whether I Love it more than the translucent I’m not sure. But I’m thinking of getting the Medium Deep for the rest of my face, I’ve only used it for my undereye, but I want my whole face to be flawless so why not!
Thank you so much for this video. It helped me immensely! I am new to Laura Mercier and kept seeing makeup artist use the honey which I thought would maybe be too light for me. I’m happy with your break down and trying each one for us.
I think we have a similar complexion and I also use medium deep as my holy grail to set my under eyes too girl! I always feel like banana shades are too bright for me
I just got the LM ( translucent original) today. It was part of the birthday gift. I’m low key scared to use it because I’m shade Namibia for Nars and Hot Fudge Huda... I wanted to try it because I heard so many good things about it and I heard it works well with good with dry skin. I’m scared, but I’ll try it
Great video. I prefer the medium deep powder as it looked more natural. I would go for that. I recently gave my sacha buttercup away as it was way too light and gave me flashback. I don't get that from deep powders. Currently using black opal medium and Fenty nutmeg. Congratulations on 10k. You deserve it with all the content you're putting out ❤
thank you for your review! I have dry senstive skin and have a chocolatey complexion so I am definitely going to go with the medium-deep! You're natural "me nuh wan go nuh weh" beat is goals for me! Gorgeous!
10K! Congrats!. And u know I was eyeing the honey but think I'd just stick to the translucent that I already have. Not like I really need another powder that I wont ever finish that's 32 bucks a pop!
I don’t tend to use loose setting powders. I use ct for under the eye & Mac msf all over the face to set foundation. I only use setting powder for oil control, then I put a light layer in my tzone areas, over primer, followed by foundation. 😊 the setting powder I have are IMAN’s in earth medium & fit me loose in deep. Both bought this year, during the lock down. Thus personally I don’t use yellow powder. Congrats on reaching 10k 👍🏾👏🏾🥂
Ah! 😫 I'm so torn! I've always wanted to try this powder and I was excited when they released Honey. But it looks a lot less yellow than I thought. I'm the exact same skin tone as UA-camr Kelsee Briana Jai - I don't know which shade will be more universal.
Kelsey loves the new honey because it is closer to her skin tone than the other two. I would check out her recent video. For those with deeper skin tones medium deep looks like the better choice. Thanks for this video!
If you are kelsee skin tone then I guess you can get away with both? Is just your preference how much of a "light effect" you want to achieve. But I do think what ever you get should look great on you 😌😌🥰🥰🥰
I’ve always thought that the LM powder was to drying for people with normal to dry skin, so I never picked it up. Now I know that it isn’t👍🏾! I was actually hoping earlier today that you would upload a video! I hope that you are doing fine and a massive dubble tap and congrats to the 10K!! You’re more than deserving to the the growth of your channel!!💕
Congratulations on 10K!! 🍾🥂 You’re right this powder is amazing, I’ve recently bought honey and can’t wait to use it.... And I’ll deffo need that Nars soft matte review!! 😉💕
Sissssss! Your not the only one! I LOVE ALL YOUR CONTENT!!❤️❤️ Plus we are shade twins so your reviews help me A LOT!! I’ve noticed that I don’t like to set my under eye with the medium deep when I use a concealer closer to my skin tone. I think it makes the area a little too dark but if I use a lighter than usual concealer, then it HITS!! I think it balances everything out. I usually wear medium deep when I’m just running errands, but honey for everyday wear (work, date night😌)!! (Side note: your accent gives me LIFE!!)🥰🥰 ok, carry on ladies!! 🤣✌🏾
It was a very helpful video loved that you compared with other powders in the same tone , I’m same complexion as you and I do love the medium deep and I have the translucent winch I never use 😄so when I saw about the honey I was very curious.
Omg 😩😩 I need to get medium deep now. I got the honey to review for my channel. I use you as a shade reference because I wear the same shade of foundation and concealer as you and medium deep looked so good. I currently use black opal finishing powder in medium
i honestly thought i was wrong for wanting to set my under eyes and t-zone w setting powders that are more my skin color? or close? banana's always are way too light for me?
Loool well when I saw people's comments and videos saying that the medium colour was too dark. I sat there thinking 😳 am I doing something wrong 🤣 I like the natural look
@@miss.sydz91 LMAO honestly i just bought makeup revolutions banana deep the other day to try and idk the look to me is a bit odd but i'm gunna keep trying it lol. ur not wrong tho! idk maybe shades after banana but not too dark work?
I can see a difference on camera between the two so I would definitely pick up honey. But sis me and you are the same shade and I don't know how you are using medium deep to set your under eyes. It's way too dark idk I might try it tomorrow. 😂💗
🤷🏾♀️ well when I've used it I don't think it's too dark, I feel it gives me a natural brightening look. Fair enough not as bright as the other powders but I think it works for me. I guess is personal preference, things don't always work the same for everyone 😂
Happy Sunday everyone!

Thank you 😊
I noticed alot of people say the same thing about medium deep 🤷🏾♀️ saying it's too dark and rich/red undertone but I think is perfect!
Yeah same! And I'm like errrrrrrrrr I like it 🤣🤣 thank you for watching ♥️

You did what needed to be done. This was EXACTLY what I was looking to find out. Thank you for this video!!! 💯💯💯
I generally love the deep powder. It works good for me and I don’t really like the highlighted look. I always get flash back
Yeaaa I feel you on that!!
I like the shade medium deep. It’s not brightening persay but I just use bright concealer like you do. I’m surprised how light honey is tho! Very underwhelming. Thanks for this video x

No worries 🥰🥰 so happy I could help. Thank you so much for watching xx
Thanks for review I just bought the medium deep it looks really natural and pretty on you! I don't always like highlighted looks for everydayy ❤
Me too! I love the natural look! Thank you for watching ♥️
just bought a mini of the honey. honestly it looks really good/better than the other on you.
Thank you sis ❤️
Where can I find the mini version?
@@cherryclawsbykenn I bought mine at Sephora

Thank god for that I'm not alone 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but yeah I understand what you mean about Banana being a bit too light 😫
Thank you for this. I had the colourpop powder and I threw it away because it was too light and grey cast on me. Thanks for this video.
😫 oh no! Atleast it's not expensive 🤣 thank you for watching ♥️

Can I use the OG translucent powder to set my overall face makeup instead of a setting spray? I’m Fenty 440 shade x
Interesting to see the medium deep under the eye!! and I agree honey wasn't as warm as I expected either. Great video xx
Lool yeahhh I love medium deep 🤭
