Ofc there is a lot of room for improvement but I can't help myself and wonder how much more deep can one go with SO dark skin as Nymas, and even darker than Nymas complexion 🤔 And truly is there a need for women with this super dark skin?! They look FLAWLESS.
Vera Sc women of darker skin tones should be given the option just as all other women. To say because their skin is “so flawless” is a disservice to those women. No women “needs” any complexion products, etc. it’s a choice and darker skinned women should have that choice as well.
Girl Fenty needs to partner with you. So that they can get their bronzer for deep dark skin tones right.

@@LeFKay im not too sure i will look into it though. I just think it would be nice for them to partner with Nyma and have her create some bronzers, since so many look to her for which products to use. I know a few friends of mine follow her religously and use the products she recommends because their skin is as deep and beautiful as hers. I know they have a hard time finding bronzers to fit their skin tone as the same way she does.
Bronzer is used to get that sunkissed look. For deep dark skinned people, they already have super sunkissed skin..so bronzer is not needed..

You are right, no one NEEDs makeup, everyone is naturally beautiful. Sadly society has built up the idea of the perfect women, and we now see makeup as “normal” so many girls/women feel inclined to wear it in order to fit in with society. I’m only commenting this to support your comment, not to disagree with it in any way.

I thought Nyma meant _no one NEEDS makeup, but if they WANT it, let them._ I respect the comments that say Nyma doesn't need makeup, but there's nothing wrong with wearing it too -- we need to stop the mindset that everyone uses makeup to hide themselves and to fit in society. Makeup essentially *enhances* someone's beauty; if they want to be pretty, let them! It's true that everyone is naturally beautiful, but if they want to wear makeup, then let them use makeup. :^)

DariaFairytale color correction doesn’t mean she’s “correcting” her skin says that her color is bad. She may just have certain areas of her face that are a different color and it helps match the foundation better

I love how you gave props to Fenty Beauty for at least providing a product that can actually contour your skin tone but I also have to say that I'm so upset that we are celebrating someone for getting ONE shade correct. There should be more products and accessibility to products for darker skin tones. :( It irks me that it is 2020 and darker skin tones have to beg companies to do just one thing that would be so easier if they would use darker models and take into consideration darker tones. But I still appreciate Fenty Beauty for stepping it up when no one else has.
Many people have trouble finding their shade. Doesn’t matter if it’s super pale/ super dark or with rare undertones. Yea there are many shades in the middle but even then it’s hard to find one that fits perfectly. A friend of mine finds it rlly hard to find a shade since she is rather fair but has an olive undertone. All foundations are either pinkish or orange. I‘m super pale almost like a sheet of paper lol and I rarely find foundation that match my skin. But the few I found are enough I don’t need hundreds of different brands and can actually understand that the majority goes for the inbetween shades.

I thought she washed her face with petroleum oil. She looks like a candied apple. Sticky. When I was a small kid, my mom would yell at me for using too much cream. I looked like a polished apple but it prevented us from going ashy. My mom would say, if you can see your own reflection on your forehead: it's too much.

As a person who nail bites, I relate to u. I've been wanting to grow my nails out but when i get stressed out or anxious, i bite my nails. Now i havent bit my nails for 6 months (but i trim my nails to my desired length ofc) and I just nibble on them to curb my stress at times 🤣
That blush really elevated this look, it brought a tremendous amount of dimension to your face. You look flawless as usual.
I think what brands are afraid to recognize is that they literally need to come out with shades that are borderline black to be able to accommodate everyone. Deep browns don’t cut it, because many people’s skin tones extend much farther than that. A brand needs to come out with a shade that is very close to a black contour stick/powder. And I think Fenty shouldn’t have named it a bronzer, but maybe a contour compact if they were aiming for it to be used as a contouring product. But that’s just my opinion as a makeup artist, because I struggle to find shades that are dark enough to contour my darkskinned clients and models. It sucks, because it’s 2020 and brands are still missing the mark. I have to use dark eyeshadows to be able to contour my darker girls and it’s exhausting. When will someone (even the black-owned brands) finally come out with something deep enough to get the job done for a dark-skinned woman who just wants to snatch her face with the right products???
vivi haze its not black face if its a black women(or man) actually using it- its only black face if a white women(or man) uses the dark shades on themselfs and make up companies cant help what their consumers do with their make up. Theyd get money is they made a huge shade range. A lot of it- i dont see why they wont.
No...they make pasty white everyday. They just don't want to out of pure racism. Basic browns are still in common in makeup. They don't want to create makeup for African women period. Why? Don't know.
Honestly there isn't any excuses nowadays; if the problem is pick the right undertones (the number 1 excuse in the past) there is several examples of darker girls like Nyma that for sure would be open to collab.

You are literally one of the most beautiful women I have EVER seen, with and without makeup. This is my first time watching your videos, and that was my first thought. Also, I am so happy brand are beginning to cater to the extremes of the spectrum. I personally am on the opposite side of the spectrum (my face is so pale that for a long time I was having to basically use white face makeup in the winter, to match my skin), but with that o understand that even to this day it is SO much harder to find makeup that matches (and looks good) on darker skin tones. Hoping to see more of that in the future, as I want to become a professional makeup artist, and want to be able to cater to everyone. ❤❤ keep up everything you're doing. This was such a needed break for me in my recommendations. I have been watching way too much about COVID & politics. You absolutely can’t mix primers with the hydro grip primer. I’ve tried all types of mixing with it and it will ball up every time

i disagree! i use the becca first light primer underneath hydro grip for added glow and it has neverrrr done me wrong
Yes I could never use any of my moisturizers with it or it would balk up
I have never had mixing problems, but I use more of a patting motion than a spreading like a moisturizer

when i was in high school ( along time ago) all the light shades had WAY to much pink in them. so I was stuck using ivory which would oxidize and turn orange. I stopped wearing makeup for years because of it, finally they came out with lighter shades with true beige undertones.
l.a girl is a cheaper brand but their colors are Fantastic.
