@@notajesternotaclown1102 Probably not the type to enjoy sports anime, it really reminded me of how sports anime handle scenes. You can't tell me Kuga's synergy with Hyusei doesn't remind them of Kageyama and Hinata.

It is a PERPETUAL race to learn more about the tools at everybody's disposal, while also making time to practice and refine your basic skills. The only thing that separates the top ranks from the common chaff is SKILL.

World Trigger is the true underdog story. It's message is also great. "Even if you are not OP you still have something to contribute and you don't need random powerup BS"
World Trigger is pretty much "work smarter, not harder," and man does the anime reflect it. Given the actual thought and detail put into its fights (plus unique use of animation and direction that doesn't recycle clips), I'd say some of them are up there with (or at least close enough to) other anime like Kara no Kyoukai and Moribito. I might need to rewatch S1 to refresh my thoughts on the story and characters, but I think it was okay (having little-to-no fanservice is a big plus). Which reminds me, I still need to watch seasons 2 and 3.
go a do it, you are missing some mayor big brain time and plot twist taht will blow ya, I remeber watching the first seasong while it was airing and oh boy it was GREAAAAAAAT
Got to admit, current arc of the manga is just the perfect example of what World Trigger does right. Every action in that arc is currently all about thinking, making decisions that work both now and in the future, and explores the characters in a classic way while also being realistic. The shuffling is basically the idea of the "different characters are stuck together when they wouldn't normally otherwise" trope, but with ramifications and motivations that are calculated and push not only the characters forward, but also Border itself.
Same I really like the current arc in the manga because it focuses solely on the characters which is my favorite part of world trigger, the only time I've ever felt like this about a show for the characters was when I was child but this series awakened a part of me that looks at the characters as people and not just things on my screen that looks cool, this series honestly is a master piece in my eyes for how it can do so many things right infant of our eyes all at one's without feeling dragged or distracting. I hope the author puts their health first because I'd rather world trigger take a long time to finish rather then it never being completed, may the author live happily and be happy with what they have done.
Fun fact, world trigger is having a HUGE popularity spike in latin america thanks to it getting a killer spanish and portuguese dub thanks to a latino anime streaming service called animeonegai, really doing gods work bringing back old anime that slipped thru the cracks of the industry i cannot believe world trigger is as good as it is being a toei anime of all things
World Trigger is peak tactics anime with little to no bullshit and I love it. I wish more people watched it but unfortunately the first season was overshadowed by other bigger anime coming out that year...
This anime is so criminally underated I mean it has a fucking awesome power system, great characters, PLOT and banger openings. Howcan anyone not love this anime?
Cause they either want: 1. "Main character that starts OP or keeps up with the highest power levels after training arc. And power of friendship" 2. "WEAK" character but genius strategist (that is another way to say OP main character just without brawling prowess) that get better quickly 3. More action and not "too much text" SHONEN JUMP has repeated the same formula over and over again so much times/years...that audience thinks that is the rule and that is the best the genre can offer --->people calpping to Solo Leveling in 2024 not realizing (yet) it is just another SAO
Man, I love world trigger. Havent seen it animated, read the manga though. Ive heard some complaints of the anime but I will probably watch it eventually because in my opinion, the character designs work much better when theyre colored. Its funny that I can describe it as "Teenage soldiers join a private military contractor to fight organ harvesting aliens" and "The best video game manga not about videogames" and be totally accurate about both. From the private military contractor part - border as an organization is honestly really engaging. Different factions with different philosophies on how we deal with neighbors is good on its own right for creating conflicts of interests, but the fact is they still find a way to work together. Additionally, the press having such a large presence is honestly pretty unique. Its not an organization with unlimited resources or funding, so they have to do what they can to keep investors happy and public opinions high. On the video games side... The tournament (and I use that loosely, because it is so distinct from a standard shonen tournament) arc is quite literally Osamu managing his esports team to escape ELO hell while making sure to beat the carried allegations. Speaking of the carried allegations... I really like how small stakes the series is. Humanity isnt on the brink of destruction or anything like that. This is an optional rescue mission for some civilians. Likely in an attempt to get more funding and good press. Further more, Kuuga and Chika both have reasons to be on the team without even winning. So Osamu is quite literally having to prove that he's the right man for the job dispite his almost crippling trion issues and lack of combat prowess. And Osamu isnt even doing this because he thinks he would be the best person - he's in it for selfish reasons. He wants to rescue Chika's brother. He's not automatically a bad person for wanting to do so, but it's a nice dynamic that he's trying to use border just as much as they're using him. Osamu does what he does because he thinks it is right. He isnt a bad person by any means, in my opinion at least. But its nice that he isnt portrayed as a purely virtuous paragon. Back to the gamer point for a bit. Mixups, skillshots, hard reads, setplay. Man, a world trugger game in the same style as The Finals would go so hard. It does such a good job capturing the competitive essence of games and it wasnt even about games until the most recent arc where they got forced to play turn based tactics. Also, Osamu literally catches someone mashing on his offense. What a gamer. My final note in this rant is on the power system and technology. Trion is such a good system. Its basically the logical extreme of "You have mana, a magical energy. You can do stuff and things with it" (replace every instance of the word trion with mana and its very funny). I also like how earths strategies are based on our unique circumstances. We dont need trion to live, which ends up giving us a much larger population. Conversely, however, our development of trion tools is pretty primative. We didnt even have trion soldier's up until a recent chapter that hinted at them, and those are just basic footsoldiers in world trigger. Because of earth being behind, we seemingly choose to focus on distilling the properties of other civilizations triggers down to their simplest form, where they get put into a unified system. Said unified system is incredibly flexible, but its individual power is seemingly much lower. Elite soldiers get more specialized tools but everyone starts with the basics. Finally, we have earths trump card, Bail Out. Every civilization has something unique and this is ours. Sure, it reserves a bunch of Trion. But that cost is honestly worth it. Consider the Vietnamese booby traps. They weren't designed to kill outright, they were there to cripple. This is because a wounded soldier will need to be protected and potentially carried, essentially taking out 3 men and massively dropping morale. Bail out means you can focus on winning, not protecting downed teammates. Additionally, its much harder to take hostages when they warp away. Additionally, with a power system that relies on pearning your opponent and what they can down, bail out is ludicrously powerful, allowing earth to test their opponent with very little risk, and then respawn later. It further amplifies the numbers advantage too, letting us use actual humans as OUR BASIC UNIT. And the best part about all of this is that it probably was created from a perspective only earth could have. Other dimensions are constantly in conflict, and their children are probably significantly more willing to throw their lives away to fight and attempt to survive. Earth has been pretty against child soldiers. And if trion is anything like sports or martial arts where the younger you start the better you are at it, then earth now wants to use the younger people to fight. So in order to pacify complaints about the potential risks, they develop bail out. Which just so happens to be an insane ability. Thank you for listening to my yapping, Have a lovely day. "Nah, I'd lose 24 times and draw once" - Osamu Mikumo
The best thing they explained why they have normal triggers, so they develop new strategies and can train more soldiers, in other words Quantity vs quality. If the neighbours lost a soldier they will take so much time to find a new one and train them etc. also, the idea of why 3 and 4 teams against each other instead of team vs team. Every single detail about this show is amazing
@@nathanaelhavlik4293yep, 20 skilled longbowmen are a fair match for 200 farmers with muskets. So if it's easier and cheaper to arm 2000 farmers with muskets than to train 20 longbowmen, then that's obviously the better option. As it stands, we can currently make a machine gun and endless belts of ammo for less than training a skilled archer...
Just seeing that character's learn, change, and develop new tactics based on who they are facing off with, where the fight is going down, and how they choose to learn from losses really makes World Trigger even better. This series earns it's keep and deserves even more, and I truly hope more people will give it a chance. Here's hoping Season 4 comes soon.
Another thing i like about world trigger is that they dont leave anything up to debate, they straight up give rankings so we know who is better than who and go on to prove those rankings, only No. 1 who hasnt shown their stuff yet is the No. 1 gunner, everyone else has shown why they number one They also probably knew that fans were gonna match Yuma up against people so they were completely transparent about it & sinply had him fught a bunch of people right away to show where he stands, Hyuse too
I love World Trigger power system. Character don't "evolve" or go 'super saiyan". They have to work with what they have. The fight in the anime are spectacular, creative and resourceful, because characters stretch everything they got. Take the Yuma vs Viza fight. How Yuma outplayed Viza with how he used his real body is superb.
One of my favourite moments is when osamu figured they could use ropes to help kuga gain an advantage when fighting by abusing his movement and the fact he could pop the scorpion out of any orifice in any shape or form
It also helps that this feels like a video game or a world the viewer could actually be in like I could actually see myself being a border agent and picking a build like I think at that point the power system in combat system for this anime is great.
Honestly, one of my favorite parts about world trigger battles is the surprise factor, and more so that information is just as important as power level. The black out trick, as an example, only worked because no one expected having to constantly swap between visions, and it only failed because they picked the worst guy to use it on since any other team would probably be screwed. Similarly, hyuse’s trump card of manually controlled bullets was only as effective as it was because he baited them into thinking it was the standard shots for three rounds, thus limiting himself so he can pick off a more important target in a later match. Ah their battles are so good!
I was just scrolling netflic about 2 months ago looking for anime to watch and I saw world trigger and I remembered it from a nux taku video back in the day so I decided to start watching it and I started with 1 episode a day before I went to sleep and I was so close to dropping it because I liked it but the animation was subpar and had a lot of freeze frames where you could tell they were stretching the content . The thing that saved me from not dropping it was jin vs the a rank teams, with arashiyama, the tactics in that battle were so fire that I wanted to keep watching and now I'm on episode 81
Another thing of note is the bail out function in every trigger that eats at the space on the trigger that the enemy don't have. It also can give bravery to fighters relying on the fact that if they get "killed" they won't die. People don't die if they are killed.
the power system and how it's implemented is the biggest reason i love world trigger!! it's got a very standard plot structure, all things considered, but the focus on teamwork over individual power sets is so so so good. i'm way more interested in the strategy behind team tactics than just "which of these two people can hit the other person harder?" it's no wonder the manga chapters come out, like, once every two months, because the amount of thought going into each fight must be HUGE.
I started the manga years ago common I was worried it was going to get the hunter hunter treatment when it went on break and just didn't show up. Happy it's getting the love it deserves now
World trigger is one of my all time favorite manga/anime. Every single character feels interesting, and they're varied enough that anyone can find a few favorites. Like you said, the power system is extremely well thought and the story and world building are really interesting. I like it so much that I even spent 3 years creating a card game on Tabletop Simulator and even printed a copy for myself.
The thing I love is that even with Black Triggers those insane power ups that usually not only double your trion but have a unique busted ability as well. Even those triggers aren't safe from a good tactic and skill. After learning how the black triggers of two invaders worked, Miwa was able to Solo a 2 vs 1.
People keep asking for shonen anime with good female characters and yet they keep ignoring this anime. The girls in this anime are strong not because they are female, they are strong because they are strong, just happens to be a female also.
Well people seem to only value things when they make MHA or Naruto numbers. Actually going through the trenches to find shit they would actually like takes more effort than a quick google search.
@@selfimprovement5873 i think its unfair to say that in today's enviroment. i knew world trigger because i used to be an avid manga reader, and, no joke, i cant remember the last time i even read it. its at least 5 years, probably more. thing is, back then, it was much easier to find new manga to read. now, you go to look for new stuff to read, and you get BOMBARDED with 100 isekai/returner/cultivation garbage that are always the same exact crap, to the point you can look at 2 diferent stories and see the same exact event happening in both. and im not talking "its a shonnen action, and it has a tournament arc" kind of same event. im talking about, core designs, to literaly the same exact thing. for example, a few years ago i read this koran returner manga, guy comes back in time, and goes ham on his older asshole brother, so his stepmother(the mother of the brother) arranges to have the knights that were protecting the MC during his travel to the academy try to kill him. of course, he murders everyone. last month, i found a diferent korean returner manga, and first thing that happens is, the MC goes ham on his asshole brother, and his stepmother arranges to have the knights that were protecting the MC during his travel to the academy to try to kill him. of course, he murders everyone. those are 2 diferent manhuas. with diferent MCs, that have diferent objectives. and yet, they literaly have the same EXACT mini arc in both. that happens carbon copy of each other. in case people are interested they are: Legendary youngest son of the marquis house and the reborn young lord is an assassin
This videos sums up what's so good about World Trigger better than I can explain it to people, I'll just direct them here next time I'm asked about it😂
Its a real gem for sure. Hope this helps spread the love around. Please, share the video if you can. And let me know what you want to see on the channel next
do it! buy the manga! I was in your position years ago and I actually started collecting manga all because of World Trigger! The fact that we enjoy to reread this series makes collecting the physical volumes worth it. Plus, manga sales are a sure way to support the series and author.
Checked out the first 15 minutes into Osamu and now I'm going to stop myself and check out this anime. Sounds really intresting, love characters who are weak overall but make up for it by using their brain to out manuaver/trip up oppenents.
There's also the detail that if your trion body is damaged, while the person itself won't die because it's not their real body, there's still a leak in trion energy akin to bleeding, and there's no healing abilities yet in this show, the only place we've seen it being the virtual practice room where you can basically re-load trion to your body to repair it. So, if you get damaged in real battle, it depends on the severity of the wound to see how much time left you have to fight just as if you had a real body, minus the risk of death. The more typical shounen powers in this anime however, are Black Triggers and Side-Effects. Side-Effects not being usual though, but some people can have a special ability unique to them, there's one guy who has augmented hearing, even one who has future prediction, and one of the protagonists can detect lies without fail. This powers are a bit limited for now though, they're just one specific special skill, for now we've only seen passive skills. And finally the Black Triggers are the most unique and powerful, same level as the aftokrator enemies. The thing is that black triggers are made when a person dies, and in that death the person went through very powerful extreme emotions. The black trigger is created I suppose by that condensed emotion turned trion, the abilities unique depending on the person's mindset I guess, and also, another person cannot really use black trigger just like that. The person who died has a mindset and that is reflected in the black trigger, so there's compatibility problems, if you're not compatible you can't use the black trigger's power or it could be dangerous or just not activate at all, if you can though, and if the organization approves that YOU can carry and wield that black trigger, then you're automatically classiffied as an S-Rank Agent, S-Ranks then, are black trigger ussers. Because of the very specific conditions for such a power to be created, and the very limited amount available as you can imagine why, Border has a strict control on who can use which black trigger.
Another point that was only slightly touched is that to the neighbours the border tactics are also mostly unknown. A good example is during the Invasion ark one of the enemy gets baited into a training room where trion is infinite. This leads to the border agents getting non stop healed but he cant figure it out as he gets held in that room long enough for border to figure out his weakness. Or in the sneak attack ark the main enemy leader gets knocked out by border agents pretty much team killing each other which he never saw coming because he wasn't used to the concept of border's bail out system.
This show does something that many shows with object-based power systems fail to do: it shows how two people utilize the same power/object in different ways.
Now if only we could get season 4! But manga is going to take a bit. Author going nice and steady. Still, all the points you made here still apply to the current arc, even more so when it's placing huge emphasis on teamwork, tactics, and creativity with the latest challenges.
A rank is basically the highest level, S rank level is just A rank people with black triggers. Jin was an S rank but when he gave up his black trigger he became A rank, just like kuga did. Etc...
One of my favorite thing about this series is that you can’t exactly ask “Who would win?” and get a definitive answer. Just like how Hyuse noted that it was hard for him to fight the agents even when everyone is only using the same trigger, and how he considered seriously about who might win had his opponents were fully equipped. I also like how everyone seems to understand that animosity and skill gatekeep is bullshit here and keeps actively fighting against each other to find new strats because at the end of the day, their goal is against invaders not each other.
The only anime I’ve watched with more strategic fights then World Trigger is JoJos. That says a lot about WT. I fucking love this show, it’s power system is great, it’s cast is so well done and the show is just fantastic.
I'm late to the party !! good video what i love about trion is that it rewards you for understanding how it works and they also tease you a lot on what may or may not happen during the round so you can even feel amazing when you figure out what they did and how they do it before the replay of the commentators by either spotting the hidden spider osamu created before he got taken out etc
This anime definitely deserves all the hype! I love that I’m not even close to being done with the series bc so far I’m loving all the characters that have been introduced. I hope season 2 and 3 could eventually get dubbed
I absolutely love this series and I'm ashamed of how late I'm in finding out ab it, I started watching it ab a year ago and it has been a blast, only let down was that damn toei filler, it almost made me drop the series and I would've skipped it if I had known it was filler but once it was over all the usual hype for the story came back, so nice seeing more people little by little give this anime recognition
I watched this anime in 2016 and it was horrible not getting an end. The mangaka was really sick so the show was cancelled about that time. Imagine my joy when the mangaka said that wanna continue the story but since it was still sick we have to wait patiently. Season 2 was a shock when it was released. And yup, a lot of filling things happened but it was worth it ❤
Would be interesting to see if RWBY had followed a similar approach to its battle system - Dust and weapons come in concrete types that everyone can use, and Aura would be the same across all fighters. This means though that Semblances would need to be simplified to more of a "trump card" ability: Very powerful but limited to one or two uses, meaning knowing when and how to use your Semblance is far more important than its actual power.
So kinda like arena shooters like Overwatch? I can dig something like that. Although I wouldn't even have much of an issue with the power system as it stands if it wasn't so INCONSISTENT and underutilized.
One thing I really enjoy about this power system, is how visceral it allows the combat to be. There is an inverse relationship between a combats lethality to it's viscera in manga, esp shonen. Take Bleach for example: despite using swords, how often do you see people actually lose limbs? Hardly ever right. Instead people get knocked around, stabbed, cut up, drop buckets of red paint all over the floor, but they never suffer any loss of limb because that would be permanent, and the plot cannot allow for that, for the most part. But in World Trigger, people lose limbs like nobodies business. You can hardly get through a battle without a decapitation. And the reason is because of trion bodies. Since they can take any amount of damage and not have it effect their real body in any way, combat is then allowed to have regular dismemberment and have it factor into the tactics of combat, without risk of any long term injury that could negatively effect the plot. And as such, combat feels far more grounded and realistic, because that's what happens in combat involving weapons. By being less lethal, it becomes more real.
I mean sure there is dismemberment, but no blood because they are all fighting in fake trion bodies that have no blood. So in like 90% of the time if someone is about to lose all they have to do is bail out and they get sent back to border base, so imo you dont really get the feeling a character is ACTUALLY going to get seriously injured.
@@imsentinelprime9279 but a character bailout is still series since that basically means they are put of the fight unable to help as much as they would with a trion body.
@whothis5810 all they woukd have to do is wait a recuperate and thrn get back in. I don't really grt the sense that characters could die or are in any serious danger when actual threats come. Because they csn always bail out and their friends can just take on the problem. So therefore I feel no real stakes like 80% of the time.
@imsentinelprime9279 then you might enjoy the away mission arc when it happens because I'm pretty sure the bail out system won't work in the neighborhood, and even if it does the agents can only be sent to the ship which isn't as secure as the border base.
To be fair the only reason the turning off the lights thing didn't completely decide the fight is because of Kageura's side effect that irritates him whenever any emotion is directed at him by pricking his skin. So even though the lights went off, because people have a natural emotion when fighting against someone, his side effect acted as a radar. Had they ran into any person other than Kageura, they would have been bailed out not knowing what had happened.
Thank you Kaiser for showing some love for one of my favorite anime. I never got to convince anyone to watch it but now i can just show them this video. Let's hope we get more World Trigger in the future
Really appreciate this video man 👌🏽. I love the HxH's and JJK power systems in shonen, heck, Cradle is my second favorite power system in all of fiction and its so different from World Trigger but there's just smth about the simplicity of WT's power system that is just so easy to understand but incredibly hard to really get to the ceiling of- Just like a real sport, that its is just so satisfying that its my favorite power system of all time. Apparently WT is HUGE in Japan, but it really deserves global recognition
What i also appreciated about world trigger was the way they laid out the battlefield. They dont hide anything from you and show you where they are fighting and what they plan to do.
Since this is probably the only place I will ever get to ask this: Does anyone else remember at the waaay beginning of the series when Yuma took Osamu's Raygust, and was explaining how Triggers take a different shape depending on the Trion of who's using them? Because I think the writer forgot. Either that, or he realized there was no way he'd be able to keep track of ALL the shapes of EVERY character's MULTIPLE triggers, and I'd honestly completely understand his decision to abandon that idea
I could just be miss remembering but I belive that part was referring to the effectiveness of the weapon like how osamu's hound and asteroid were pretty much the same because of his low trion level, the raygust took a different shape because yuma made it that shape so that it can be lighter for him to move around with instead of how is usually is, its the same with how ko and reiji made the raygust into a dagger.
you made me watch world trigger and my thoughts of how amazing it is, is that kuga being OP at the start suddenly becoming beatable just because he is using a regular trigger which really puts you in the edge since he cannot just suddenly get power scaled
Asteroid isnt the most 'powerful' shooter trigger per se. Bullets have a shell, propulsion, power and an optional feature (homing, explosive, set paths) but astoriod doesnt have any additional features, which means it can spend more on the first three parts of bullets (or not). Allowing it to be the fasted, most powerful, have the longest range or simply be the cheapest. Its mostly used for 1. being the cheapest or 2. its range and thus penetrating power or as you said 3. as a distraction. Since defensive triggers overal deal very well with raw power, while triggers that arent defensive are rather frail and dont require much force to break in the first place (like a trion body). You usually focus on other things. Ofcourse, a large enough power difference will make power type asteroid the best, but thats not typically the case You're not wrong in saying its the most powerful, but thats isnt how its typically used and thus i cant say you're right.
Its so sad that we haven't gotten a proper game out of this? The author explained the mechanics thoroughly . They are sleeping on a gold mine. This could eclipse fortnight
world trigger is actually underrated though, like i only watched it like a few months ago and i thought i was like a relatively new anime but no it was pretty old
Another great thing is everyone gets to shine. In season 2 where Chika is fighting the girl with the sword, while she's using Lead Bullet, it's the one with the sword that discovers that you can block Lead Bullet with debris, which was somewhat hard to deal with before since you couldn't block it with shields. Just a random B Rank person, and that changed quite a lot since in season 3 you start seeing even heavy hitters using it too.
The other thing I love about triggers as a power system is how you can make inferences about things based on what's going on. After a while, you can even start to see the small mistakes people make as they happen, which is cool because like you said, a small mistake can end even a powerful combatant at any time. And it's not like the alien triggers are necessarily better either. A lot of them are (but we see their elite fighters only so far), but the fact that a Border agent can pack 7 options in a standard trigger (8th is bailout) means they have a lot more flexibility and can use two or three styles or variants as needed. Granted, A-ranks tend to default to their single custom trigger most of the time, but that doesn't mean they're stuck with it. In fact, the show does a good job through Hyuse especially of showing that in some places Border actually has advantages over other nations.
Awesome vid bro. Im a big HxH fan and i love the concept of Trigger because it reminds me of Nen. The whole "it can be anything" approach to power systems, makes for interesting mix matches. Opening the door for strategic depth. Read the battle with Hisoka vs Chrollo if you want a clash of styles type battle.

Which reminds me, I still need to watch seasons 2 and 3.
dew it
go a do it, you are missing some mayor big brain time and plot twist taht will blow ya, I remeber watching the first seasong while it was airing and oh boy it was GREAAAAAAAT
Everyone work as hard as you in the top rank. Now you have to do something different
yeah the second seasons have really good animation, I think it's comparable to demon slayer or jujitsu kaisan
I just hope Ashihara will be well enough to move past the arc if possible. God forbid anything happens to him
Same I really like the current arc in the manga because it focuses solely on the characters which is my favorite part of world trigger, the only time I've ever felt like this about a show for the characters was when I was child but this series awakened a part of me that looks at the characters as people and not just things on my screen that looks cool, this series honestly is a master piece in my eyes for how it can do so many things right infant of our eyes all at one's without feeling dragged or distracting.

Good shit!

World Trigger is peak tactics anime with little to no bullshit and I love it. I wish more people watched it but unfortunately the first season was overshadowed by other bigger anime coming out that year...
Don't forget the terrible Xeno/Lilth arc
@@RockyX123 Probably was done as a break from being in Mikado City all the time, but yeah I get it lol
@@RockyX123xeno was a filler arc so yeah it was bad.
Just wished the mc didn't suck so much. Not even just power wise but charisma and personality, dude is just a plank of wood.
@@imsentinelprime9279 I get it, but I see it more as a journey you're seeing in "real" time
This anime is so criminally underated
I mean it has a fucking awesome power system, great characters, PLOT and banger openings. Howcan anyone not love this anime?
Cause they either want:
1. "Main character that starts OP or keeps up with the highest power levels after training arc. And power of friendship"
2. "WEAK" character but genius strategist (that is another way to say OP main character just without brawling prowess) that get better quickly
3. More action and not "too much text"
SHONEN JUMP has repeated the same formula over and over again so much times/years...that audience thinks that is the rule and that is the best the genre can offer --->people calpping to Solo Leveling in 2024 not realizing (yet) it is just another SAO

The best thing they explained why they have normal triggers, so they develop new strategies and can train more soldiers, in other words
Quantity vs quality. If the neighbours lost a soldier they will take so much time to find a new one and train them etc. also, the idea of why 3 and 4 teams against each other instead of team vs team. Every single detail about this show is amazing
The modern war mindset.

Another thing i like about world trigger is that they dont leave anything up to debate, they straight up give rankings so we know who is better than who and go on to prove those rankings, only No. 1 who hasnt shown their stuff yet is the No. 1 gunner, everyone else has shown why they number one
They also probably knew that fans were gonna match Yuma up against people so they were completely transparent about it & sinply had him fught a bunch of people right away to show where he stands, Hyuse too
I love World Trigger power system.

How does it feel to make the first video on World Trigger ever of all time?
Yes
might genuinely be the 1st world trigger video this summer

World Trigger is literally my favourite anime
The thing I love is that even with Black Triggers those insane power ups that usually not only double your trion but have a unique busted ability as well. Even those triggers aren't safe from a good tactic and skill.
After learning how the black triggers of two invaders worked, Miwa was able to Solo a 2 vs 1.

the 'cut the light' trick does not come from Ko, but from the team sniper
People keep asking for shonen anime with good female characters and yet they keep ignoring this anime. The girls in this anime are strong not because they are female, they are strong because they are strong, just happens to be a female also.
Well people seem to only value things when they make MHA or Naruto numbers. Actually going through the trenches to find shit they would actually like takes more effort than a quick google search.

@@selfimprovement5873 i think its unfair to say that in today's enviroment. i knew world trigger because i used to be an avid manga reader, and, no joke, i cant remember the last time i even read it. its at least 5 years, probably more.
thing is, back then, it was much easier to find new manga to read. now, you go to look for new stuff to read, and you get BOMBARDED with 100 isekai/returner/cultivation garbage that are always the same exact crap, to the point you can look at 2 diferent stories and see the same exact event happening in both.
and im not talking "its a shonnen action, and it has a tournament arc" kind of same event. im talking about, core designs, to literaly the same exact thing.
for example, a few years ago i read this koran returner manga, guy comes back in time, and goes ham on his older asshole brother, so his stepmother(the mother of the brother) arranges to have the knights that were protecting the MC during his travel to the academy try to kill him. of course, he murders everyone.
last month, i found a diferent korean returner manga, and first thing that happens is, the MC goes ham on his asshole brother, and his stepmother arranges to have the knights that were protecting the MC during his travel to the academy to try to kill him. of course, he murders everyone.
those are 2 diferent manhuas. with diferent MCs, that have diferent objectives.
and yet, they literaly have the same EXACT mini arc in both. that happens carbon copy of each other.
in case people are interested they are:
Legendary youngest son of the marquis house
and
the reborn young lord is an assassin

Etc...
this power system has such game potential its insane (this is quite literally the finals)

Although I wouldn't even have much of an issue with the power system as it stands if it wasn't so INCONSISTENT and underutilized.
how ironic is it that the only universally loved seasons of rwby are also the ones closest to this idea
Thanks for putting the spotlight on my favorite anime

@@KaiserShounen bet
Well said, couldn't say it any better myself.
You are very right. But I think my point still stood that Suzunari's plan was very intuitive and upped the stakes of the fight significantly.

@@KaiserShounen THANKS!!!!
Might as well check World Trigger out
That Murakami senku will never be not cool. It's just so murakami goddamnit!
hope we get more of this anime, it's pretty good :D
What i also appreciated about world trigger was the way they laid out the battlefield. They dont hide anything from you and show you where they are fighting and what they plan to do.
Well, now I've got to go back and binge watch it again
@@whothis5810 Ah, that could be it. I should honestly just rewatch the series

you made me watch world trigger and my thoughts of how amazing it is, is that kuga being OP at the start suddenly becoming beatable just because he is using a regular trigger which really puts you in the edge since he cannot just suddenly get power scaled
FIREE VIDEO!!! I love world trigger, definitely in my top 3

Ofcourse, a large enough power difference will make power type asteroid the best, but thats not typically the case
You're not wrong in saying its the most powerful, but thats isnt how its typically used and thus i cant say you're right.
I will always pick an anime with a power system that barely allows the characters to grow their strength vertically than one that has a power level
Best Esport anime ever lol
(the rank battle arc really feel like it)
really like this anime. i hope make more of it
I see World Trigger analysis, I sub.

Ive loved WT since it 1st came out on Crunchyroll. I cant believe its now on Netflix
Tbh one of the best shows I’ve ever watched can’t figure out why it’s not more popular
Short answer, because back in 2012, there were a lot of higher profile anime that was out at the time, which kinda fucked the ratings.
@@KaiserShounen the last season came out a year or two ago I didn’t even know season 1 came out almost 12yrs ago that’s crazy
