I wish World trigger had more recognition. An anime like demon slayer has an organization where everyone, except the hashiras, is basically fodder and useless. But world trigger utilizes their B and C-ranks even more than the S and A-ranks. Beautiful stuff.

Many Shonen series all have their arcs that pay off most if not all that was introduced before. Bleach when the main group tries to save Rukia, Black Clover with the Elves and Demons, and JJK with it's Shibuya Incident. The Invasion arc in World Trigger takes everything introduced so far. We got to learn how powerful the A rank agents are shown how powerful they are when they tried to get Yuma's black trigger, which also shows off how powerful Fujin is and provides stakes when Jin gives it up, which ALSO makes it something that could come up anywhere in the future. we learn of how the organization works and the many agents that work in it to make us care about them. Also, I can't stress enought how ingenious it was to make those using Trion basically invincible that even has a get-out-of-jail-free move when they lose, only to subvert that when the rabbits are introduced and IMMEDIATELY start stomping on the competition with the horrifying reveal that they are made to directly counter agents. There's so much more that I love about the arc, so I might add random things later :p
The way you’re able to constantly add on more and more things to take note of as you go is why I love Ashihara’s writing style so much. He’s just to good!
And another great thing about that Jin fight; while he was fighting to win, his objective wasn't simply winning, it was to send a message. At the start of the fight, before he takes it seriously, he is like a predator playing with his food, he sidesteps the attack and, rather than countering, he just turns around, looks at the guy and smirks. Heck, that whole thing at the end, he didn't want to wipe the floor with them, he wanted to see what they could do, to let them see what they can accomplish. And to send the message that "bitch, that may do for a measly black trigger, but it ain't enough to stop me."
While the Introduction arc is slow and exposition heavy, those who make it through are treated to the very best and are able to follow along without the need for constant reminders.
Im on episode 81 of the anime and its dope asf, I wasn't really feeling the first 12ish episodes all that much but the moment it clicked for me was when it was Jin and arashiyama vs the other a rank squads, now that shit was lit and Ive liked it ever since
@ Seeing the pros work with the tools really shows what this power system is capable of. The quick breaks to explain what the triggers are and are capable of helps us keep up. But as soon as Jin activates the Wind Blade, things get serious. Kitora’s scorpion leg is still a favorite moment for me, because the sniper is more impressed than upset. The fact that Jin was injured, if only slightly, also shows just how skilled he and his opponents were, with Jin wiping the floor with them, while they still managed to get past his foresight, if only minimally.
@@trevoryorgesen2199 Also their introductiion of all the teams is done very well, I thought "oh these b ranks must be scrubs" but then watching the rank wars you see some of them individually might be just as powerful if not more powerful than some A ranks its just that there are only so many A rank spots and it also has to do with teamwork whether you move up or not
Will always support someone who recognizes how GOATED World Trigger is. Ashihara is meticulous especially where the manga is right now, legitimate time is being taken to tell this story.
The same as this video focuses on the first great arc of the series, there is the HUGE neccesity to highlight the great work during the first 20 anime episodes. From the clever way to just introduce a small set fo triggers VISUALLY (not in explanation) up to ep 9, which completes Yuma´s arsenal display.... To the fact the author did intentionally hide the Sniper triggers features in order to focus specially in the Gunner-Shooters (every sniper on screen was using the same bullet and weapon before ep 21)... Without fogetting the THROUGHOUT demostration of visual storytelling in the shape of Scorpion and Spider, when all the info about the first came together in the first great battle of the series in ep 13-16, and the second coming to fruition when Osamu learned about it and even during the filler arc. Both of those instances having Ai Kitora as a central piece.
This is series is constantly called underated and for once its true. EVERY battle is a tactician's bread and butter. You can tell that thought was put into every characters actions and how it reflects them as a person when you break it down. Im looking forward to more videos of World Trigger and am Subbing just for that 😁
Probably one my favorite things to consider about the Kuga vs Viza fight, Kuga as he is now, even with Replica again, wouldn't win again without some other high level tactical decision.
It might be too ambitious of an idea but my wish is for WT final arc to be a dual "war arc", where the Neighborhood agents work with rebelling countries to invade Aftokrator while simultaneously HQ is under heavy attack and the remaining cast must hold the line until Afto surrenders.
18:16 This scene always break me down even though I hardly ever cry from TV shows or movies (There's also Chika's confession scene). Mikumo would especially feel more guilty about Yuma losing replica because Mikumo was the one who "promised" to give Yuma another purpose in life at his lowest (finding out his dad's friends death). That just puts more weight on him when replica's lost is related to his action (not exactly his fault but his responsibility). still great video, would love to hear you comment on how invaluable every single episode is to the overall result of the war. Take just one episode or chapters away and you already lose context and key information on why the war turned out that way and who's actually benefitting from the situation. Unlike in other shonen war arc where you can afford to remove some filler battles whose only purpose is to showcase individual strength and displays powerscaling.
Correct me if im wrong but the aftrokrator invaders only escape was the warp women right? They didnt have a bail out function and used her trigger too get back too there ship. So if she were taken down all the Aftokrator invaders would be stuck
@@Prilliyo At this time, there’s no clue. While the series does have a stage at Jump Festa in December, I do not expect much. At the most I expect season 4 in 2027
Tree-on always stuck with me all these years 😂. You may be right though, I’ll probably reference the English dub and see how they say it, it’s how I ended up learning that I was saying Hyuse and Aftokrator wrong
@YozakuraSensei English dubs tend to say names wrong too though, at least the ones that don't have English pronunciations, so the majority of them haha
So I listen rather than watch the videos, and as an sub anime viewer, I had no idea who any of the names listed were when he rattles them off around the 8 minute mark.
I still think its a shame that world trigger went underrated because they did not follow the unofficial “3 episode” rule; where in shonen they would basically show the power up of the main character within that 3 episode and is usually why people flock to shonen animes. Since Osamu does not get that type of instant power up people write him off as a (physically) weak character and write off the whole anime as ‘boring’ and ‘bad’, which is kinda sad because the whole point of his character is figuring out how to manage despite that
For the people who’ve been here since the beginning, sorry it took so long for another World Trigger video. Tune in next weekend for the Rank Wars!

That is also my idea of how the finale will go actually. A 2 way war, major stakes tying into Commanded Kido’s hidden goal as well
it might even end up being a civil war, where one of the great houses or one of the lesser houses splinters off and joins with the rebelling vassals
