World Triggers biggest weakness as a series is that it's a more "old school" slow paced story, on top of the fact that Bailout means there's virtually no stakes during actual fights. It's hard for this story to standout in a landscape full of isekai and "system" stories with much crazier power scaling and faster paced stories.
It is also doesn't have many chapters and chapters only come out once a month instead of the usual pace of once a week witch slow down the pacing even more
@@nicholasfigueiredo3171 Yeah that's true as well. A lot going against it. If this series had premiered in early 2000's it would've competed for a spot in the big 3.
It's a slow burner for a story but it is still great in its own ways. There aren't that many tech base isekai power scaling systems out there. Actually wait wouldn't that make the power scaling system perfect for writers to play around in.
Idk if the bailout removes the stakes. The author handles it really well; all of the main villains have an objective or motive, while border comes to contest it. If someone bails out there, unable to contest anymore, which makes it tougher on the remaining agent's. Plus, things like osamus plan to save chika really hit home because he turned his trigger off. And when we get to the neighborhood expeditions bail outs will be even more limiting

@@nitalukder2108 mecha shows never delved in to that power system because the mechs themselves act as the power system. Having a mech is the same as having a tailed beast. But WT is basically an anime with hard magic system, you can swap their triggers with some mystical artifacts, heirlooms, etc. and there'd be no disconnect. Thing with World Trigger for me is that I've been waiting for them to go on their quest forever, but it never seems like we are ever going to explore those worlds beyond the border.
Yeah it definetly feels like the entire story has built up to the away mission and I hope if we ever get it we actually get to explore the neighborhood and not just a world or two, but I do think this entire first half of the show was needed to train our MC into being a okish fighter and a leader of his squad, instead of just throwing him into the other world and then somehow getting a random power up like most other anime would probably do.
I like the show in that aspect because it makes Osamu and the world's setting feel more realistic-he gains power thorough experience, not by random cheats coming out of left field and thus all of his progress is truly his own hard work @@DouaTwoAnime

I used to sleep on this show so I don't blame people too much but they really don't know what they missing.

JESUS! How'd the creator come up with all that?! My jaw was dropped for most of the video, and and I started laughing from the sheer amount characteristics. Holy crap! And you didn't even talk about all of it?!
the author also decided that for his "third" ish arc (some forty chapters in) he should make a big war arc with a boatload of the characters and mechanics put in play. Why? god fucking knows, ashihara sensei is cracked (and then he wrecked his neck and can only put out 1 chapter a month)
I love that the writer took his time to build out the world and logic of triggers. That way whenever a character pulls out something new, anyone watching immediately reacts with "OF COOOOUUURSE! That makes sense. It's brilliant" I remember when Murakami Ko pulled the black kogetsu and night vision trick in the rank wars. Something soooo simple and yet so brilliant from a strategic point.
Very good video! Always awesome to see people still making videos on it. However you are wrong about the number of trigger users. There are 9 different positions, disregarding Operators and Engineers, there are 7 positions in combat. These are; Attacker, Sniper, Shooter, Gunner, All-Rounder, Spotter, and Trapper. Attacker, Sniper, Shooter, and Gunner are the 4 positions available for C ranks (trainees) to choose from, making those the 4 basic standard positions and trigger types. Spotter and Trapper are only available once you reach B rank, and All-Rounder is only available once you have reached a certain threshold in points (6k each), or in other words, proven your expertise as both an Attacker and Gunner. Basically, when you pick a position you will earn points as that specific position, which will determine your rank within border among agents with that same position. While those points will be documented and saved, that means to earn points within another position so you can work towards the rights of becoming an All-Rounder, you have to switch and start over from 0 points in that other position. That's why becoming an All-Rounder is fairly hard and is considered to be quite impressive, cause earning points consistently is already considered pretty difficult, and so having the expertise to do so with 2 completely different positions is a somewhat rare feat. Additionally you can after becoming an All-Rounder work towards Sniper as well, which will earn you the title of Perfect All-Rounder, which currenly the only person in border with this title is Reiji from Tomakoma. It's important to remember that your individual points within a position does NOT translate to your "letter rank (C, B, and A, which is your squads rank as a whole)", so even B-ranks can be All-Rounders. So don't let their squads rank fool you, some B ranks can be stronger than some A ranks. Trapper I think is pretty self-explanetory even though we haven't seen any in action. Spotters are still a mystery however. In real life military, a Spotter is someone who stand by and supports snipers, whose tasks include but is not limited to finding/assigning targets to the sniper, and observing that the sniper hit their mark. But it's a pretty agreed upon thing in the community that such a position isn't really needed in border, since the Operator usually does most things that a Spotter would do, so their exact function as a border position is not yet known. Although it is theorized that Spotters are a position that don't deal any damage, since the 1 known spotter doesn't seem to have any offensive triggers
We have seen one trapper, using a laptop trigger called Switchboard. All we've seen from it so far is setting up warp spots, but it probably has several other area control abilities.
BBF reader detected. Trapper fukushima has also set up what are probably bomb-traps during galo invasion (hangar door 4v2, they were swapped out for short-warps when the four noticed neither of the galo were stepping on trap points), and was probably involved in the spike traps and turrets set up during the afto invasion, as well as the bulkhead door manipulation during both invasions (that enedora, with borboros, kinda just ignored) This is the thing with WT, you can read it and end up missing a shitload of details cuz almost every panel has either a bit of dialogue or a small reaction (often both) that are relevant. For example, i saw some people dogging on nino when he said "i'll give you a facial expression, as requested" cuz they didn't see any change, which was odd because the next panel, his eyebrow *is* raised. Slightly.
Wouldnt really work. The reaction time you need to block bullets with shields, as well as the precision of the shields, is something you would need to move your own body to do. And without that stuff like snipers and shooters would become op.
@@alex2005z not really? There are multiple ways to overcome that, first it could be that shooters and snipers project a fire line where they are aiming, this fire line could be visible so long they are in your field of view, shield users get a heads up and snipers and shooters would get an augmentation on their skill ceiling. Or you can just make shield users be able to automatically block, but asign them other penalties, such as a REALLY slowl movement and attack speed.
@@fathe3217 thats not true. If someone is in your line of vision, but 500 meters away, above you, with only a small part of their body showing, you probably cant see them.
World Trigger is great for thinking up various trigger builds. Throughout it gives you all the rules and understanding needed to imagine what you might bring in your kit if your were a border agent.
Dude World Trigger was so dope. RIP to the creator. I’m not sure if it has a future moving forward, but I’d always be willing to give any continuation a shot
Kinda scary that I just finished another watch through of the series and this immediately was on my recommended feed, not going to complain about quality World Trigger content though!
Yeah, the power system is pretty cool, but all the characters have the charisma of unbuttered bread except Jin or whatever the prodigy guy is called. You know him if you've seen him in the manga he's the only human character other than Yuma that isn't a cardboard cutout.
Ok you hooked me in to watching the anime and I have to say I agree, the power system is quite nice. I like the fact its based on technology and that you can see them all developing it and experimenting with it, making it probably the best scifi power system.
I remember being off da anime for years and found this back in 2019 and now im back on da anime. The world building in World trigger is top notch and so is the character building.
World trigger is goated, it’s probably the fastest I’ve watched an anime of that length. I didn’t even know I was watching fast just before I knew it, it was over.
one thing i found intresting is that the worlds setup as a technology arms race, the bail out system is something unique to earths that any of the ones that came to them didnt have it, but as a later part has shown, the opposite side observed and developed their own bailout allowing them to do more risky missions because they didnt have to worry about losing people to achieve thier goal. infact because of this development in understanding the tech, i expect to see bailout traps to exist later.
I feel like something important that you didn't touch upon is how the Sniper triggers each have their best aspects increased the more Trion that the wielder has. This is pretty straightforward for the Ibis which only gets stronger, but the fact that someone can shoot faster with the Lightning is an aspect is something really special.
This anime is so good that it actually changed my way of seeing anime battles and fights😭now only a few anime fight scenes are enjoyable, since this single-handedly raised my standards, from one on one to clutch plays to team fight to stratergy alone. And this is partially thanks to its great power system but man to be able to use a power system in this manner is no easy feat, props to the guy
Finally, a UA-camr who knows about World Trigger... I never miss repeating this show every 3 months. Whenever I want to watch anime but don't know what to watch this show together with HxH is my choice.
As someone who just started world trigger last month I can say this. Feels like all of world trigger might be underrated. The most competent characters and a honestly fun power system perfect for a video game. Which was on the PS vita... to bad I don't have mine anymore 😢
The first season was honest to God so awfully paced I would never have watched it, but Triggers are so intoxicating as a power system I couldn't do anything _but_ watch. It's so simple yet deeply developed that I could often intimately foresee how a fight would end (and be pleasantly surprised when it didn't pan out that way).
i have a head canon that the anime Mars of destruction is taking place in the same universe as world trigger and the mars suit is basically a black trigger .
I’m feel like the reason why “world trigger”is so underrated and not well known is due to the fact that around the time the series came out there were alot of other well known manga that were getting adaptations around that time. I remembered hearing about world trigger and people mentioning it, but i wasn’t really interested at the time especially with it’s tradition slow paced story compared to other anime and their fast paced, and their advertisement made it no better. If im being completely honest i think the marketing team was lazy asl when it was promoting world trigger to the point where it was less appealing, but ever since it showed on netflix and i gave it a try, people really were missing out because this is arguably one of the most underrated battle anime’s like it’s literally top 10 in my list and I’ve watched a considerable amount of great anime’s but this anime really had me invested in its plot and system the last time ive finished an anime in a short amount of time was fullmetal alchemist and I’ve finished the original and brotherhood in the span of 4 days max
If it didn't just suddenly end, it would have been one of the best I watched. I know they recently picked it up again, but it just isn't the same after years.
There is a lot to break down in this show since it has such a unique power system and worldbuilding that hooks the readers/viewers. I would like to mention some things you didn't being the fact the main characters are limited on trigger options is "budget." Legit the Border higher ups mention they don't have the money to give everyone customizable triggers because it cost more money than the cheap standard issue ones they give to starters and B ranks. I also don't recall them mentioning that training didn't significately affect your trion growth as Kitora did mention she had horrible trion levels like the MC but now hers are about average since becoming an A rank. I love the versitile power system but there is still so much we don't know. Sadly they come out with maybe a chapter per month and would like to see more.
One more caveat about chameleon, it can’t be used while attacking: Can’t shoot bullets or stab people while invisible, must dispel invisibility beforehand.
My favorite thing about world trigger is I like all the B rank guys in the B rank wars so much that I don’t want any of them to lose lmfao , I feel like the author feels the same cause he always gives them a wwe like ending where like KOE may lose but he was .5 seconds from taking out Huse and Yuma even tho it was 2v1 , like the strategy makes it so when someone loses it’s not because they are weak it’s because the strategy overcame the strength, like I just think that is so dope , that I find a lot of the B rank teams more cool than the a rank teams
I've loved the manga years ago and am still trying to keep up with the recent chapters. Sadly, a lot of the original fans seem to have been lost from the frequent hiatuses.
The two defensive options are the meme where you have the pie chart that says no and no (but in yellow), its basically shield and shield (but in spanish)

Trapper fukushima has also set up what are probably bomb-traps during galo invasion (hangar door 4v2, they were swapped out for short-warps when the four noticed neither of the galo were stepping on trap points), and was probably involved in the spike traps and turrets set up during the afto invasion, as well as the bulkhead door manipulation during both invasions (that enedora, with borboros, kinda just ignored)
This is the thing with WT, you can read it and end up missing a shitload of details cuz almost every panel has either a bit of dialogue or a small reaction (often both) that are relevant.
For example, i saw some people dogging on nino when he said "i'll give you a facial expression, as requested" cuz they didn't see any change, which was odd because the next panel, his eyebrow *is* raised. Slightly.
Surprised no game has been made with this series in mind, an open world game with random PVE/CO-OP PVE events and PVP/CO-OP PVP would be sick-
Wouldnt really work.
@@fathe3217 a fire line means you know where they are. So it doesnt work.
@@alex2005z Yeah, they are in your line of vision already so you already know where they are so- Again not a problem.
I saw the cover and clicked right in
Dude World Trigger was so dope. RIP to the creator. I’m not sure if it has a future moving forward, but I’d always be willing to give any continuation a shot
Yeah, another incident of the authors health being bad. It really is a sad thing to see.
good video, dude! I'm sure that if you keep up the content you'll grow fast on youtube :)
Kinda scary that I just finished another watch through of the series and this immediately was on my recommended feed, not going to complain about quality World Trigger content though!
Thank you so much I remember seeing this anime a couple years ago on UA-cam I was never able to finish it and couldn’t remember the name
Let's goooop, world Trigger content. By far one of the top most enjoyable animes for me
Yeah, the power system is pretty cool, but all the characters have the charisma of unbuttered bread except Jin or whatever the prodigy guy is called. You know him if you've seen him in the manga he's the only human character other than Yuma that isn't a cardboard cutout.
yeah I feel like poor character design and personality really holds these "underrated" shows back (they're probably fairly rated)
I have to agree, feels like everyone is trying to be funnier than they actually are, characters talk like fucking robots,
Happy to see World Trigger getting some recognition! It's a fantastic series that absolutely deserves more love.
“Trigger On!”
love to see some love for World Trigger, Great video
Dude I thought I was the only one who knew about this show, it's so underrated, if anyone here goes bored you should go binge it.
At first I thought it would be simular to cursed energy but its actually pretty unique
1:15 MADE IN ABYSS. Has to be in my top 5 anime
Ok you hooked me in to watching the anime and I have to say I agree, the power system is quite nice. I like the fact its based on technology and that you can see them all developing it and experimenting with it, making it probably the best scifi power system.
World Trigger is such great world building tbh. I came across it randomly when S1 just completed and didn't expect I had to wait years for S2 😂
I remember being off da anime for years and found this back in 2019 and now im back on da anime. The world building in World trigger is top notch and so is the character building.
I will always support world trigger content. This anime/manga deserves WAY more support then what is gets imo
world trigger is one of the best underrated anime of all timei hope it gets loved as it should its literally a pure masterpiece
Thank you for the vid and someone else that recognize the uniqueness
73 episodes? Crazy I've never heard of this anime. Thanks for the video. It's been a long time since I watched a long shounen
World trigger is goated, it’s probably the fastest I’ve watched an anime of that length. I didn’t even know I was watching fast just before I knew it, it was over.
New to your channel, but you got a very strong tone of confidence in your voice. Mad cool!
one thing i found intresting is that the worlds setup as a technology arms race, the bail out system is something unique to earths that any of the ones that came to them didnt have it, but as a later part has shown, the opposite side observed and developed their own bailout allowing them to do more risky missions because they didnt have to worry about losing people to achieve thier goal. infact because of this development in understanding the tech, i expect to see bailout traps to exist later.
I've seen World Trigger mentioned a few times but never watched it, this video convinced me to give it a try!
World Trigger is one of my favorite anime of all time, its definitely underrated.
man i loved world trigger it definetly needs some more recognition
I started World Trigger completely uninterested, blinked and was caught up to the anime, and now I wish there was more
fiending for a new season of world trigger
Finally, a UA-camr who knows about World Trigger... I never miss repeating this show every 3 months. Whenever I want to watch anime but don't know what to watch this show together with HxH is my choice.
As someone who just started world trigger last month I can say this. Feels like all of world trigger might be underrated. The most competent characters and a honestly fun power system perfect for a video game. Which was on the PS vita... to bad I don't have mine anymore 😢
World trigger is easily one of the most underrated manga/anime out there. The power system behind it rivals Naruto, HxH, YYH etc
MADE IN ABYSS MENTIONED🔥🔥🔥🔥. Also great video man 👍
World Trigger is the cleanest shounen when it comes to power & skills system. Super underrated series for sure.
For some reason I always love how World trigger play the opening mid episodes.
Hands down the most well made power system in an anime i've ever seen.
I'm really happy to see World Trigger receive the praise it deserves!! 🎉❤
Sounds really complex but interesting nonetheless
I am a simple man. I see world trigger content, I click like.
i have a head canon that the anime Mars of destruction is taking place in the same universe as world trigger and the mars suit is basically a black trigger .
Such a amazing anime !! I'm mosre than happy to see people making videos about it
If it didn't just suddenly end, it would have been one of the best I watched. I know they recently picked it up again, but it just isn't the same after years.
I finished this anime last year, was mad they didn't get any more seasons
they dont have enough material for another season.
yesssss someone is talking about this anime
you didn't expect world trigger to pop up on my yt feed.
Oh my god finally someone who appreciated this gem
I might just become a UA-camr myself just to make this video
The side effects are one of the best parts of World trigger. To me it's an homage to Newtypes from Gundam.
it was one of the animes i really enjoyed as the world building was really really complex and good
There is a lot to break down in this show since it has such a unique power system and worldbuilding that hooks the readers/viewers.
I saw the title and knew what it's gonna be exactly.
Good to see World Trigger getting attention.
I've always loved world trigger. Its just so good. Hunter x Hunter and world trigger are my favorite 2 "older" animes.
WORLD TRIGGER CONTENT ON MY FYP!? FINALLY
Finally someone is acknowledging this anime 😭
The battle choreography in this anime is top notch.
this power and battle system is so damn good
My favorite thing about world trigger is I like all the B rank guys in the B rank wars so much that I don’t want any of them to lose lmfao , I feel like the author feels the same cause he always gives them a wwe like ending where like KOE may lose but he was .5 seconds from taking out Huse and Yuma even tho it was 2v1 , like the strategy makes it so when someone loses it’s not because they are weak it’s because the strategy overcame the strength, like I just think that is so dope , that I find a lot of the B rank teams more cool than the a rank teams
I've loved the manga years ago and am still trying to keep up with the recent chapters. Sadly, a lot of the original fans seem to have been lost from the frequent hiatuses.
By far. My favorite anime ever. Thank you for hyping it
The two defensive options are the meme where you have the pie chart that says no and no (but in yellow), its basically shield and shield (but in spanish)
3:45 for personal rewatch
