Osamu is overrated. Osamu Mikumo is a very badly written character. He literally complains about Yuma defending himself at all against thugs who are completely willing to use physical force to severely harm Yuma and try to deceive him to rob him of all his money. Osamu proceeds to demonize Yuma for defending himself and says that Yuma is just as bad for using self defence when the alternative is to let himself get beat up. Osamu continues to get beat up by bullies. When Yuma literally points out that he didn't start the fight and only defended himself. Osamu rather than coming up with any valid reason or counterpoint why self defence is such a bad thing to do. Osamu instead acts like Yuma has alien morals & logic because he points out the obvious flaws in Osamu's logic. Even worse poor Yuma is forced to go alone with Osamu's backwards nonsensical logic and accept Osamu's demands upon him as Japan's Customs while pointing out that Japan's laws only seem to benefit bad guys. I'm perfectly fine with main characters being pacifists. But when those main characters actively demonize anyone who defends themselves from bullying and force others to stop defending themselves from bullying & people trying to harm them. Its just bad writing. Meanwhile Osamu joined Border which harms & kills aliens of his own free will to fight aliens even though he is supposedly a pacifist to the point he actively demonizes anyone who defends themselves against bullies and considers anyone who uses self defence to be just as bad as criminals & bullies. And that's not even counting the rest of Osamu's nonsensical decisions that put other people in danger while Osamu gets off scot free because of plot armor. Osamu behaves like a self-centered brat. Many times, over and over again, he behaves in a manner that endanger himself and others, all to satisfy his own sense of ethics. Each time, the plot made it so that he’s lucky enough that neither himself nor anyone else has died. Exhibit A: early on, Osamu breaks regulations to fight an enemy he cannot beat, without the experience to limit collateral damage and civilian loss of life, and without a bailout trigger. I’ll give him credit for his bravery, because most wouldn’t be able to do that. I’ll also give him credit for ultimately buying enough time to save lives. However, his actions endangered himself and others, and not only that, but now that he’s done that the other recruits might do the same thing, increasing the potential for casualties in the long term. Exactly the issue with vigilante behavior. He got lucky, and that is the only reason why innocent people did not die yet. This would be worthy of being court-martialed, discharged dishonorably, and being sentence to jail in any functioning military. Yet, plot armor saves Osamu from any of that. Exhibit B: He revealed to the world military secrets, specifically, the existence of the away missions. Now, they deserve to be bit in the ass for trying to make a scapegoat out of Osamu, but that is absolutely not the reason Osamu spoke about the away mission in the first place. He spoke about the away missions because he wanted to save the people who were abducted by the neighbor invasions. Now, while his intentions are admirable, the result is that now Border has to dedicate more recourses to satisfy public demand, which is an issue because the total number of resources Border has did not change. This means these resources are going to come at the cost of other, potentially more pressing priorities, and Osamu has put Border in a more difficult position once again. If this was to call out Border on their attempt to stick it to him, then fair enough, but that’s not the case and that’s why I am pretty unhappy with him here.
I think it will take decades to make a game like that, we there must be the ability to move and tilt all limbs and torso to dodge or attack (Spider field usage of Yuma and Kitora), hitboxes are specifically only in the player's body, debris must have effects to players' movement due to collision (Yuma vs Oji), wide rage of customization on the Range/Damage/Firerate for guns to create Assault Rifles(Inukai), Revolvers(Yuba), Shotguns(Suwa), etc. And the movement of Triggers like Viper (Nasu) and Mantis (Kageura) through the use of the mind. If anything, a game like Sword Art Online needs to first be made to serve as a starting point or a kind of baseplate for this type of game. A game where you can control your whole body's movement whilst your mind is also thinking inside the game. Then we can get a World Trigger game, you control your whole body, your mind controls the movement, shooting pathing, mantis pathing, shield placement (important since large shields trade durability for size, and you can be hit in the feet if you just shield your torso and legs, like Kageura during the mall fight), etc.
"Nah, I'd lose 24 times and draw once" - Osamu Mikumo Jokes aside this fight also brings up another key point of world trigger - Osamu has to prove HIMSELF capable. It's not just winning as a team that matters. Border as an organization would be perfectly willing to put Chika and Kuga on a team without Osamu, and that creates great low level individual stakes.
Ya, I loved that fact when I noticed it, chika yuma and hyuse are all capable of going to the away mission by themselves so the while rank wars arc was Osamu proving to everyone that he is just as capable.
10/10, 1000% agree, get this guy an award!!! In all honesty, if Osamu had won that fight, it would have been a massive outlier. Kazama is one of Border's best agents, taking part in ***censored for spoilers***. He's good at what he does, and isn't dumb tactically either. He even said after the fight that he was cocky in going for the attack he did that ended the fight in a draw instead of the going for an strategy that would have guaranteed his victory. Osamu is new to his B-rank status and barely has experience with his shield mode, thruster, or asteroid. He's used those only once before this against a Bander; with success, but no real skill either. The only reason he got the drop on Kazama was those 24 losses showing no real special skills. Kazama didn't overestimate Osamu's power, but he wasn't ready for Osamu to change the battle field into a minefield. He then went with the strategy that had already worked 24 times: blitz him. Osamu, intentionally or not, used that to execute his trap, and give himself the best chance for a win. Kazama was just fast and experienced enough to counter, which Osamu hadn't prepared for due to a lack of experience. This is the first time we see him train against a human opponent, who generally are smarter than your average Neighbor infantry. All in all, Osamu got the best outcome he reasonably could have given the gap in power, skill, and experience. He capitalized on his ability to know his limits, use his environment, the underestimation of his skill in strategy, and have enough of an understanding of his new gear to make a strategy. Although he didn't win, it was still a stunning victory.
When I re-read what you said about Osamu turning his losses into a trap, my mind went to Yuma vs Midorikawa. Yuma lost 2 rounds first to make Midorikawa cocky and his ego high, then proceeds to knock him down 8 times.
This fight set the tone of what type of fighter Mikumo would be. Using his quick wits and deception to make up for his low Trion and lack of physical talent. I love how this show emphasizes what makes different Border Agents special. Some of my favorite moments come from who other characters refer to as the 'Spear Guy'(Seriously). No lie, even the side characters are legendary. Iykyk.😂
Exactly! I also enjoy how much it emphasizes how grit alone won’t save you. It’s my favorite case of “a world that accommodates but doesn’t favor the protagonist”. Counting by anime episodes, it’s around 15-or-so eps where they keep making us see Osamu get beat up despite having the same motivations as most (if not all) of shonen anime protagonists. In doing so, it effectively rewired a lot of the viewers (that stayed) point of view because, let’s face it, we’re used to the formula that when the MC is beat up that means they will randomly get a power up. That way, during that time when Afto rolls around the first time it actually managed to make me think “what is he going to do now” instead of “plot armor will save him”, and how the rules of the triggers is so specific you expect to see more of every character’s creative thinking than gigantic flashy explosions
Man this brought back some great memories. The level of thoroughness Ashihara has put into these characters and situations is what makes this series stand alone in its own playing field especially when looking at Mikumo as an MC. Great video
@@KaiserShounenI really liked it. First time In a while I’ve seen a flashback given the context be edited in like that. Definitely a technique you can hold onto for sure and use in the future where you feel would be great 👍🏾
I've watched and read a lot of shounen and not many shoujo/adult/others but the only one that made it into my top 5 list is world trigger. I hate tropes where the MCs win because they "fight for their loved ones" / "have something to fight for" or have ridiculous power-ups after a short training arc or acquiring some new equipment. World trigger doesn't do that. They even state that while stronger motivation MIGHT give someone an edge if the fighters/teams are evenly matched, it won't determine a fight. Because implying otherwise would mean that the other person just didn't want to win hard enough / didn't do everything in their power to win. Making osamu the main, weak character was also genius because it shows that YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE OP to be able to WIN AS A TEAM. Even weaker (i.e. lower magic/power and combat level) characters can have an important role in a fight and contribute to the team's win. That is such a great message. Side note: I also love how real the world feels thanks to all the great, fleshed-out side characters. Usually side characters only have 1-2 defining traits and you only ever see their relationship with the MC and their immediate best friend and maaaaybe their team. But in world trigger, side characters have a history, layered character traits, relationships with multiple people and groups within border, skill sets that can evolve, as well as character development (sometimes). The entire first arc of the 2nd season was carried only by side characters and the story didn't suffer at all because of it (quite the opposite in fact). That is so awesome! (Are you planing on making a video on how to write a great cast by any chance? 😉 )
Not really because theres already a lot of videos on that subject anyways and Im not sure what I would add to the conversation. But thanks for enjoying the video.
Not to mention how difficult it is to "power up", to the point it took a strong A rank agent a long LONG time to raise their trion level just one stage, raising it from the usual bare minimum of 3 that a border agent is generally expected/required to have, to a 4, barely raising her from the bottom of the barrel to the bottom of average trion levels. And this is the only know instance of someone raising their trion level so far, which took her around a year to maybe over a year to do. And she is even considered a prodigy and her squads ace, and holds the fourth place best time for defeating the simulated trion soldier on enlistment. Power ups in the traditional meaning is simply not something that happens in world trigger. The closest you'll get are teams adjusting their strategy and teamwork, or characters slowly improving with their new tactics, like how Kuga over the span of multiple battles and having been hinted to have practiced every day, began slowly getting faster and faster with Osamu's wire tactics. It's such a slow, and therefore realistic and rewarding way that characters improve in world trigger!
@@KaiserShounen finished it I loved season 3 so much I’m excited to see how osamu will fight later on against like black triggers or if he evolves his 1v1 ability
10:55 I swear everytime I see this scene I feel like I'd dehydrate from tears. Man... the price of being of powerless, the kindness of other people (as pointed out by kitora) it truly wrecks you when you couldnt repay the favour when it matters
To be honest, I've watched World Trigger like two month ago, but since I've discovered it, I just loved to watch each episode, the story is interesting, the power system is cool, the characters are incredible, and the fights so smart ! Osamu my goat
And the best part of it imo is that it's not like you have one side using their wits against the other side who are just faster and stronger. Most characters on both sides of a fight have big brain moments and don't do things for no reason. Even Suwa, who seems like a meathead jock, has a moment where he leaves himself open to a sniper shot that will go through a normal shield, but focus shields his face because he knows who the sniper is and knows they both can go for a head shot and will try it, making that a pretty safe play to bait them into revealing their position.
@@sethb3090 yeah, and in both sides, each characters have their own strength and Weaknesses instead of just being absolute powerhouses even stronger than the previous teams
World Trigger is really a Shonen Military Anime where intel, tactics, experience, individual abilities and teamwork are needed to win their battles and grow stronger and more experienced. Heck they even incorporate Chess with the one vs one combat fights with agents having individual Elo.
@@KaiserShounen Also, for Osamu, if he had a side effect, it would probably be like an increase to his analysis. Like, he would immediately think to use Asteroid Scatter after his 1st loss. You might think that its a big increase, but its not because he is already smart and he was not using his brain throughout the 24 losses, but if he did with the info he had, he would have gone for what he did. A big increase to his analysis would be if he uses Asteroid Scatter when he saw Kazama use chameleon.
Another interesting video would be about how WT rewards people that pay attention, giving them some answers beforehand. The first example is (Jin + Arashiyama squad) vs 8-9 Border Agents. The movement that decided the battle in Arashiyama side was hinted (in its usage) through the whole ep 14-15-16 (not that it was going to decide a victor, but that the "movement" was always at their disposal). BUT there was a missing piece and it was WHO had it: the answer was scattered from ep 3 when Arashiyama squad first appeared and that "movement" was properly called by name (and never again) by its user, and even some other little , lets say, cameos. The moment Shiori starts explaining and calling it by name (ep 14) the audience who paid attention immediately remembers ep 4 and/or the other cameos where intentionally it didn't showed its properties, the same as sniper weapons were all the same in looks and utility up until the sniper weapons are introduced properly (around ep 18).
World Trigger definitely is something. Watching this reminds me how impressed I was with its story and characters. I'll try to get to it after I'm done with an anime or two first. As is, the fight (as you described) is definitely a character defining moment for Osamu and IIRC he uses a similar move during the later team matches or during the invasion.
Another FATAL FLAW for some people describing or just talking about Osamu's brains is calling him "an strategic genius" ..which makes casual viewer that start the series throwing Osamu's expectations as let's say Lelouch from Code Geass or any other character that is at their core "and OP character with another skin" replacing physical strength with brains (but having al the other cliche like easy victories, near zero improvement in her power level, and looking "cool" during the battles). If someone want to copy this statement from me, be free to do so: Osamu has VERY LOW POWER and EFFICIENCY in a 1-1 and will not improve. The room for improvement comes from this show focusing in team battles. Osamu is a little above average when it comes to strategy so he tries to capitalize on that. Which in the grand scheme of thing can be labeled as "a hard road but a feasible one" Remember all of those statements are in the context of these 3 seasons. Since they have a time limit to reach their goal as a team.
Exactly... Some people tend to overestimate his tactical skill but he is just above average there too. There are those who match and surpass him. His saving grace is that he does have a string team that can execute whatever he comes up with and the fact that people tend to underestimate how out of the box he thinks like in the final B-Rank fight with Ninomiya where he has switched Asteroid for Hound and kept shooting Hound like Asteroid all through the match only to switch it up at the last minute.
@@grandmasterace4785 the best part is that baiting people into thinking the wrong Shoot bullet is not his ORIGINAL idea (Mizukami from Ikoma's squad extensively use the trick in previous battle), its just that no one expect him to have a different trigger. Even Hyuse did that just a few minutes earlier, but no one expect Osamu to also switch trigger.
Another good point about this fight is that the simulator is not a one and done gimmick, the nature of the room to refill trion was later used again to stall a black trigger invader and learn how his trigger worked.
Great video again Kaiser, dissecting this occasion and making people understand the depth the show has, that it was not just "the time the weak guy tied on a 1v1" but when Osamu showed his resolve, creativity and his compromise with Tamakoma. Also, very good job narrating, it was on point with how the show makes you feel
even world triggers world is also practical, instead of trying to catch up to the neighbors with technology since they are far behind them instead go for a practical approach by making mass produced triggers that are easy to use by the agents, making the training simulation rooms, and inventing the rank wars for the agents to train wit each other in a competition that pushes them farther then just fighting off robots or humanoid neighbors that rarely show up.
Recent chapters highlight this point: there are talented people that outpace you in some ways. To match them, it isn't just a matter of putting in practice or believing in yourself (do you think they don't?), it's a matter of identifying whatever skills you do have, and cultivating them. It's often when running into a wall that one is forced to do so, like Osamu has.
The only well written power systems are in: 1. HunterxHunter , but it has complicated itself lately, even with the new chart. 2. Mahouka, but it is more on the inside than outside, hence they look as regular color beams for the not seasoned watcher and also eclipsed by the fact....the MC is OP. 3.World Trigger, which has neither of those weaknesses.
Like i said in the live chat, I already have World Trigger for my anime to watch in the future. Your video analysis on the series really convinced me to give the show a try.
A Latin American speaker here. Our dub is also bad. to the point some weapons explanations (your know the core and distinctive factor in world triggers mechanics) has wrong dialogue: Like "this fighter loses balance cause she doesn't a the leg arm" when the lose of balance comes from her combat style REQUIRES both arms in one weapon/sword/kogetsu. Or all the female operators sounding the same as "happy/automatic" (which is DETRIMENTAL for 2-3 particular ones, like Hana from Team Katori) whereas any WT watcher knows that the commentator seat is ANOTHER stage for character exploration and portrayal to set the characters apart from each other or showing new aspect of an already introduced characters. And some minor instances where a character having a "new" weapon in battle comes a the generic shonen surprise factor....when in reality the operator explictly said she is adding that weapon just in case. You know, because in world trigger planning matters---> it was equipped for 2 characters and only 1 ended up using it due to her environment.
I wonder if Osamu will have to come with anything else like Slow Buckshot. We see a lot of unique Triggers, so it seems natural for someone as tactical as him come up with something tricky
Ik all the editing tricks were probably done for copyright but I really liked how it looked. Great video hope you continue world trigger content its such a hidden gem Happy to see it get more love.
Thanks a lot dude. And yeah it was done to avoid the copyright stuff but I really wanted that scene to pop just to show people how much I love this show. Glad that came through, hope you stick around.
UA-cam notifications seem to have started to suck. I didn't receive any until you commented on my previous comment. The only channels that seem to give notifications are news channels and big channels. They also seem to take up the subscribe tab. Smaller channels are burried.
Thanks a lot. Views on this video compared to the other ones was... strange. I don't know why when even my less stellar videos get about 1k views within the first couple of days. Thanks for the info and please share the video around if you haven't.
uhm, technically 7->37 is only about 1 order of magnitude, because orders of magnitude are exponential. (log 10 (x/x0) = 1 , or a full 10 decibels gap, is 1 order of magnitude in most uses) But yeah. Osamu definitely had at least the first step or maybe even the first two in hand before that last match, but said "I can't close it out, so I'll just leave it be" Until kazama said what he did. Then osamu was like "no, fuck it, i gotta at least press him to the wall and see how far we get" and pulls out the two moves he read.
Black triggers does not increase your trion level to the extent you said. I don't know where you got this from, but what happens is that you get the previous person who made the triggers trion added to your own. Which is actually way less than you think, cause trion levels aren't that simple. Someone with a trion level of 8 doesn't just have twice as much trion as someone with a 4, it is WAY more than that, so if someone with a trion level of 7 made a black trigger, and that trigger went to someone like Ninomiya or Hyuse that has 14 and 18 respectively, the increase would essentially be miniscule. It is far from multiplying their trion level like was said in this video. Otherwise really great video! Oh! And fun fact! The process of making a black trigger isn't actually that a trigger user has to die to make it, it's that they die as a result of making it. Someone can be completely safe and sound, but the process of making a black trigger is to pour all of your life and trion into an object to turn it into a black trigger, thereby sacrificing yourself to make it. But a powerful trigger user dying isn't by itself gonna make a black trigger
hearing spikes voice from my little pony coming from kuga's mouth is the main reason why I don't watch the dub, not because its bad but it feels so off to me.
@@KaiserShounen I just cant stop hearing spike, its the exact same voice the actor used for my little pony, it would be like if timmy turner from fairly odd parents had ben 10's voice, I usually give dub voices a pass along as it fits with the character archtype but my mind has already assigned spikes voice as a little kid, even more so then what yuma is, its probably because I heard spike from my little pony first before yuma dub voice.
After getting to episode 90 you realize how cap this fight is, I know they explain it with kazama still being able to win but choosing not to but Osamu was at his weakest here , he went through multiple upgrades and training and still gets low to mid diffed by b rank attackers
For some reason, I feel like the show is foreshadowing Yuma's Death. Then, maybe Osamu gains a black trigger at the end, however it is not an offensive one, but a supportive one that would fit his style of on-field support whose effects linger even if taken off-field.
its fine if you like it, i just personally felt ut was sub par. To me, very few of the actors outside of the main cast felt like they were trying or were properly casted
@@KaiserShounen I disagree but to each their own, I guess. I feel like more fit than they don't. At least I feel like it's quality was better in seasons 2 and 3. Maybe that's just me. I'm sorry I'm not trying to say your wrong just I don't see it. But I guess at the end of the day we both love the show, regardless of how we watch and/or read it. And that's what really matters right?
That a good point, didn't quite think of it like that before. I feel it all adds to the inherit collaborative design of World Triggers power system, and how earth specifically uses it. Unlike other shonen were everyone is a special snow flake, with their own unique powers, world trigger mostly opts for mass production and adoption. Where the uniqueness comes not from the triggers themselves, but the combinations, tactics and strategies employed. Add this to the group combat, and you have a system that rewards collaboration and tactical thinking, rather then individual raw power. And this is often juxtaposed with neighborhood enemies who take the opposite approach, utilizing a handful of unique individuals, supported by mass autonomous infantry.
Man... WT Dub is sh*t. Great video. I hope you will one day give an analysis of Osamu fighting practically everyone in Border in a bid to find an answer when he was stuck. That episode is one of my favorites thematically.
Honestly, the WT anime is kinda shit in general. I mean, have you seen those fucking ocs from that filler arc, and this is ignoring the constant png sliding and pacing thats worse than one piece's anime pre-wano Edit: Spelling
Yes, season 1 was pretty bad animation and pace wise but thats the fault of toei. It was airing weekly and you see similar issues on One Piece at that time. Its still one of my guilty pleasures and season 2 and 3 were absolutely deserved bangers which I never could have thought of.
I actually skipped like most of the filler arc, I only watched like 5 episodes. So yeah... I would majorly not count filler, instead just skip it since the author did not really intend for it to be in the story.

Pure slander. Osamu was portrayed to be in the wrong from the start so he would learn from Yuma that one has to break away from protocol whenever it fails it's purpose. *Taking this to heart,* Osamu used his C-rank trigger without permission to *successfully* save his schoolmates from an attack that occurred *outside the danger zone!* Yuma saved Osamu from dying in the process, but Osamu rescued the rest. Osamu joins Tamakoma Branch after finding out Neighbors are _not_ soulless killing machines. Osamu has always been considerate of others, often downplaying his own accomplishments. When his organization tried to scapegoat him as the cause of the abductions during the invasion, Osamu made a strong case for rescuing the abducted. Before he could reveal this not as hypothetical, but a real possibility, the higher ups took over from there. Osamu's speech was a rallying cry that led to new recruits to bolster their ranks. He is not a traditional hero, but Osamu is doing his best to live up to expectations, motivating anyone who is graced by speaking with him or his squadmates to be better while never compromising on their own ambitions.
@@commonviewer2488 Osamu contradicts himself. But he never learned anything from Yuma. Osamu is always portrayed as being in the right and is never punished for his actions. Yuma literally proceeds to completely change his behaviour to follow Osamu's orders.

I would pay 80$ to play a World Trigger game. Like I NEED to make my own character and outsmart opponents.
Dude I'd pay 100$ for a game
There actually is an indie project with a discord server and regular playerbase. It's called "Globe Gear Fusion."
literally the best way to monetize this anime. Imagine a massive MMO with away missions
You want me to start making this game?
"Nah, I'd lose 24 times and draw once" - Osamu Mikumo
Jokes aside this fight also brings up another key point of world trigger - Osamu has to prove HIMSELF capable. It's not just winning as a team that matters. Border as an organization would be perfectly willing to put Chika and Kuga on a team without Osamu, and that creates great low level individual stakes.
Absolutely
Ya, I loved that fact when I noticed it, chika yuma and hyuse are all capable of going to the away mission by themselves so the while rank wars arc was Osamu proving to everyone that he is just as capable.
I love how this show handles power ups and balancing, I freaking love this power system to the point I want to be a border agent
Although he didn't win, it was still a stunning victory.
holy shit you're right. When you peel it back, this fight just gets better and better
Iykyk.😂
facts
The spear guy is fucking awesome, I loved in the second invasion when they said he was a dangerous fighter lol, I think even the author likes him
Great video
Nothing else like it, man. Thanks a lot.
btw, what did you think of my edit on 6:40?
@@KaiserShounenI really liked it. First time In a while I’ve seen a flashback given the context be edited in like that. Definitely a technique you can hold onto for sure and use in the future where you feel would be great 👍🏾
@@YozakuraSensei 🙏 Much love, Sensei
It's such a slow, and therefore realistic and rewarding way that characters improve in world trigger!
literally you are the reason I watched the entire show. Osamu the goat, keep up the work bro
Thanks so much man. Just tryna spread the gospel. How are you liking the show?
@@KaiserShounen finished it I loved season 3 so much I’m excited to see how osamu will fight later on against like black triggers or if he evolves his 1v1 ability
Speaking facts here, Osamu the best
There's nothing else like it
@@KaiserShounen Also, for Osamu, if he had a side effect, it would probably be like an increase to his analysis.
As is, the fight (as you described) is definitely a character defining moment for Osamu and IIRC he uses a similar move during the later team matches or during the invasion.
definition of work smarter not harder and battle iq is always gonna be your side
World trigger is the first anine who got me screaming in a middle of a fight ☠️
Another FATAL FLAW for some people describing or just talking about Osamu's brains is calling him "an strategic genius" ..which makes casual viewer that start the series throwing Osamu's expectations as let's say Lelouch from Code Geass or any other character that is at their core "and OP character with another skin" replacing physical strength with brains (but having al the other cliche like easy victories, near zero improvement in her power level, and looking "cool" during the battles).
If someone want to copy this statement from me, be free to do so:
Osamu has VERY LOW POWER and EFFICIENCY in a 1-1 and will not improve. The room for improvement comes from this show focusing in team battles.
Osamu is a little above average when it comes to strategy so he tries to capitalize on that. Which in the grand scheme of thing can be labeled as "a hard road but a feasible one"
Remember all of those statements are in the context of these 3 seasons. Since they have a time limit to reach their goal as a team.
Very true
I recall reading this manga. Thank you for remind me of this gem. 👍
No problem. Feel free to share it around
Thanks. What other moments in the show would you like for me to touch upon in this style?
@KaiserShounen maybe tamakimas first loss?
even world triggers world is also practical, instead of trying to catch up to the neighbors with technology since they are far behind them instead go for a practical approach by making mass produced triggers that are easy to use by the agents, making the training simulation rooms, and inventing the rank wars for the agents to train wit each other in a competition that pushes them farther then just fighting off robots or humanoid neighbors that rarely show up.
I'd also nominate the negotiation for Hyuse as one of the show's great scenes. Idk if you'll cover it beciase spoilers, but it's a great one.
excellent scene
Osamu brains and strategy
Kuga brawler close combat fighter
Chika sniper literally a hand Canon
YESSS, IVE BEEN PRAYING FOR WORLD TRIGGERS SUCCESS, THE BEST SHOUNEN ANIME IS WORLD TRIGGER!!!!!!!!!!
The only well written power systems are in:
I have been waitng for this video to drop for so long
Like i said in the live chat, I already have World Trigger for my anime to watch in the future. Your video analysis on the series really convinced me to give the show a try.
Glad I could help man. Watch it when you can and let me know how you liked it.
A Latin American speaker here. Our dub is also bad. to the point some weapons explanations (your know the core and distinctive factor in world triggers mechanics) has wrong dialogue:
Like "this fighter loses balance cause she doesn't a the leg arm" when the lose of balance comes from her combat style REQUIRES both arms in one weapon/sword/kogetsu.
Ah, thats unfortunate
I came on a recommendation from Elrek. I stayed for the editing and commentary. I can't wait to see how this channel grows.

I wonder if Osamu will have to come with anything else like Slow Buckshot. We see a lot of unique Triggers, so it seems natural for someone as tactical as him come up with something tricky

uhm, technically 7->37 is only about 1 order of magnitude, because orders of magnitude are exponential. (log 10 (x/x0) = 1 , or a full 10 decibels gap, is 1 order of magnitude in most uses)
But yeah. Osamu definitely had at least the first step or maybe even the first two in hand before that last match, but said "I can't close it out, so I'll just leave it be"
Until kazama said what he did. Then osamu was like "no, fuck it, i gotta at least press him to the wall and see how far we get" and pulls out the two moves he read.
I first watched it when it originally aired and it's been awesome ever since
Black triggers does not increase your trion level to the extent you said.
Season 3 was so good
I wish there were more military style anime, with squads and shit, they always work

Are you gonna make video about yuma vs visa??

Before world trigger become well known just all you know before this got well known some of us already watch it 😂
After getting to episode 90 you realize how cap this fight is, I know they explain it with kazama still being able to win but choosing not to but Osamu was at his weakest here , he went through multiple upgrades and training and still gets low to mid diffed by b rank attackers
For some reason, I feel like the show is foreshadowing Yuma's Death. Then, maybe Osamu gains a black trigger at the end, however it is not an offensive one, but a supportive one that would fit his style of on-field support whose effects linger even if taken off-field.

1:24 it sounds like moaning, it always pains me to see how america could mess the dub up so bad 😭

I actually skipped like most of the filler arc, I only watched like 5 episodes. So yeah... I would majorly not count filler, instead just skip it since the author did not really intend for it to be in the story.
@@commonviewer2488 Eh wrong. The story clearly portrays Osamu as being in the right and Yuma as being in the wrong.
