I really enjoyed this one as I now live in Cedar. It was so cold that morning that I missed the start but volunteered all day and into breakdown. I liked the move off the bike path and have now done that twice in the last few weeks myself to try it out! I did manage to get video of you sprinting into the chute with several guys chasing! Sorry I didn't let you know sooner, let me know if you want it. side note; I really appreciate the effort to do the chest mounted video, it really helps for perspective. While on my trainer, I watched another popular v-logger and became very motion sick as he mounts to the bars. Kudos to the wife for being so awesome at Support! Cheers!
Best race recap vids on YT - Awesome work! Chapeau on the ride, really impressive. Best of luck in SD - It's definitely warmer here than it was in CC! :)
Awesome performance Joe! Really appreicate being a companion with you on your journey through the last 2 seasons. Also watched your interview on Choose the Hard Way and was surprised to learn about all the road blocks you had to overcome. Keep the fire burning for us all!!!
Joe, awesome stuff. I appreciate you're including the self talk near the end of the race. It's so hard to keep that mindset at the hardest times of races. Relatable. Great result.
That's some serious GRIT to will yourself to keep fighting at the end!! I definitely know that voice that just whispers, "let the wheel go, they're probably stronger than you" and I need to remind myself that sometimes I belong up there too! Great video.
Congratulations on your result and for believing in yourself right to the end. Thank you for sharing your races and your feelings, it motivates me a lot to get back on the bike every time and continue to progress. Greetings from France
Great job, love the in race analysis and music choice. great job on the climbs keeping attached. Once the sting breaks hard to get back on. Congrats again
That was awesome! Having spent the winter watching your full race videos while on the indoor trainer, I've seen your challenges, mishaps, and most importantly your progression. Excellent sprint and a well deserved 6th place. I could feel my eyes welling up with emotion as you crossed the finish line. So exciting. Congratulations!
@@jgoettl2.0 Do you plan on putting the full race on UA-cam? I really enjoy your RAW files. I've watched the ones from 2023 a few times over now. Fantastic for indoor riding. I'm going to know these courses like the back of my hand without ever riding them :D.
GREAT RIDE!!!...and really nice video, Joe. I love the insight into your equipment choices, and your thought process throughout the race. I hope to see you in San Marcos. Cheers!
The bigger tires help a lot! I think majority of races full rigid with 45’s will be my setup. Maybe a race or 2 a suspension fork would be cool, but the work and money to swap it back and forth, I don’t believe would be worth it for me.
@@danielrussell9416 BWR uses the Flemish spelling “Tripel” to honor the Belgian heritage of the races. Don’t worry, you’re not the only one who tries to correct me on this. But a quick google search would allow you to see this is correct…
A Begian tripel is a type of beer. "Triple" in flemish is drie. I think Michael Marckx is taking some liberties with the language. Since it's his race, we will allow it. Come back and crush Unbound next year.
@ mmm I see, sorry Mr Marckx had told me different but I see the meaning now, sorry I’ve just had so many people try to correct this when it is the correct title for the BWR series. I think next year I will leave that out of the title just to not have to deal with it. Planning on coming back to Unbound again next year!

Liked while the ads were still playing because I know it’s gonna be good
Love the footage.. but dont steal "Dave rides again" music.... Dave will come for you ;-)
Haha thanks, I’ve not seen his stuff before, but many of us use an epidemic sound subscription for music so there is probably some overlap 🤔
