friends don't chase friends down🤣🤣🤣🤣 all's fair in the art of winning!! great break down, you've really upped your game both on the bike and sharing your race! great stuff!
I was the official photographer again this year. This is my favorite cycling event to photograph. Really enjoyed this video. Nice to watch from a rider’s perspective!
Nice1 Drew Dustmen! Glad to see you embracing short cranks and alternate hand position equipment. I see you used some crit tactics to bag the win.Keep at it bro. 🙏🏻
see, DJ knows!! great being there video and strategy comments...glad you shared, wouldn't have a clue otherwise what its like being up front, ever! so thanks
"hockey court" 😂 The videos are getting better and better, Drew. I'd be interested to see a little bit more analysis of your power and how it changed over the race, and what those climb efforts or breakaways measured out to. I find that really interesting in gravel races like this.
I photographed Dax for NICA in WI and raced with him quite a few times. One thing I learned is he just wants to race and leave it out there. He is like our local Tadaj but, he does not win that much for the potential he has for sure.. But, I love his spirit.
This was my first time riding this race and I came in a little under 6 hours. The corners were unbelievably sketchy especially with the wrong group. Definitely gonna start further up and use the grass corner cutting next year, it would have prevented a lot of acceleration fatigue.
Wouldn't the "turniest" race be one of the worst races for aero bars? Since it's less aero to have them on when you're not using them, and maybe I'm wrong, but from this footage it seems like you are only in the aero bars like 10-20% of the time (or less). These turns are also decreasing the average speed (diminishing aero advantage), especially given how loose they are, while forcing you to have your hands off the aero bars before during and after. And since you mentioned not taking crash-causing risks in a low priority race, many would argue being in the aerobars while riding riding near many fatigued non-pros at high speeds on unpredictable surfaces is pretty dangerous. Nice win and looks like it wouldn’t matter either way , I'm just saying maybe you would have actually saved watts by not having aerobars on.
how do you like the change to 165 mm cranks? what did you switch from, and how tall are you? there's a lot of info about how most cyclists use cranks that are 'too long' and would benefit by going shorter; any info would be appreciated
here after VC flamed your flamed kit
Aaayyyyy. What’s up! Flame ON!

Here after VC…flame on!! All in all, glad I found your channel.
2 x 🏆! Always fun watching how the front end plays out! Thanks for the video!
Amazing how many riders here have saddle to height straightening the knee and rocking on the saddle. Ouch
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 great victory! nice to see you happy and enjoying the moment. Congratulations!

On the hockey court made me laugh
Your Canada visa has been suspended 😂
Congratulations!
Congrats Man!!!
Congrats on the W! Fun to watch what happened at the front end of the race. I wish I started farther up but I got caught way back.
Nice Work, and well done on your result, I love the video, your strategy sharing is very helpful.
Congrats! Great race. Interesting new things you tried. Very cool.
Great result, blessings!

Gefeliciteerd man !!
One out of one thousand, and 170 km? that's insane. 🦁👍🏼
00ps, I somehow missed the Unbound Gravel 200 video.

Nicely done aeroboy ;)
Very nice
What camera setup are you using? The stabilization is crazy good
"Mamas don't let ur babies grow up to be field sprinters" even better shirt :)
Great vid, congrats on winning!!! What bike, tires, n psi? Thanks for
Bro didn’t get hot, didn’t flat, didn’t quit 👏
I'm here for you Drew, beating on the locals ;)
Hey we have feelings too
@@TyTy22_ You guys did a GREAT job. (does that help? ;)
@@h20s8804 yes 😊
Digging the 70’s game show sounding music at 17:29 … expecting Bob Barker to pop out somewhere

Kraus is 5”3’ so 165mm sounds about right
Never expected to see aerobars in a gravel race. Interesting lol
What camera did you use?
Cool video Drew! Are you participating at Gravel Worlds in Lincoln, NE???
What bike are you riding?
Red bibs still 🔥
Carbs Fuel
DAWG
Love this voice over type of production. I don't hear so well so on bike voice is hard for me.
"on the hockey court," as a Canadian this hurt my soul 🏒
on the hockey court.....hahahahahahaha
Hockey court 😂 1:55
First! Like @Drew!
Hockey court😂
Notice the guys WITHOUT aerobars crashed and you didn’t. The “no aerobars for safety”argument is invalid.
Does this count as a UCI win?
Under Construction Indefinitely?
I don't think the turn cutters in the grass are good honest riders.

There were quite a bit of road sections in this race so had he been able to separate himself from the group they would have been a lot more useful.
Hockey = rink 😂
That flaming kit did it dude! Jk great job man, you crushed it!
Why you being so weird with Tyler??
Bro, why you want money for you footage? You did VC dirty. *dont recommend channel
I mean all the hitters are currently altitude training for Leadville..
Why do you think he won?

"Friends Chase Down Friends" bookend it with "Friends". It's better.
