Blanche: "Have you found her?"
Dorothy: "Yes, Blanche, about a half hour ago. But now I've hidden her again so that you can find her."
Dorothy " I have to warn you, I did time at Attica". Girl "Attica is a men's prison" Dorothy " I know. I was there a year before they found out.". LOL. I just died.
“No, I haven’t taken her out of the trunk of the car yet.” 😂🤣

It's like seeing chandler's mom
“Only Queen”? Have you met her mother?
@@NawiXXI Her mother is more of the empress of Sarcasm.
The Best.

Here a fun fact: Bea Arthur was in the Marines during WW2. she was honorably discharged at the rank of staff sergeant.
Seriously? That’s awesome

The writing on this show is priceless.
TOTALLY!!!👊🏾🙋🏾♀️
Yes!!!! I've thought that it was ahead of it's time
Didn't writers 'Anonymous' in Hollywood go on strike more than once for better pay?
Nothing about this show will ever be dated, forever relatable.
Some of the trans representation was a bit dated in my opinion, but still a great show
Lots of dated celebrity and political jokes but otherwise pretty much
"Sometimes, I just love to hug my mother!" Lmbo! The denial moment was funny, as well. All Golden Girl moments are funny.
In Sophia’s defense, Clayton left himself open for that one!
@@bellerain381how so?
Sophia: “Just don’t ruin it and sleep with him.”
Dorothy: “I only do that with men I plan to scar psychologically!”
Dorothy: “The woman is dying what could she possibly want from you?!”
Blanche:”My kidney…”
Rose: “Why would she need a kid-“
Dorothy: *”TO FEED THE CAT ROSE!!!”*
My favorite parts of Dorothy were when she'd have to shut Sophia up before she even says a word
Like at 2:27? 😂
"Shady Pines Ma!"
I loved when Clayton brought Doug home to meet Blanche. Clayton says Doug would "bend over backwards for me" Dorothy claps her hand on Sophia's mouth and says "Sometimes I love to hug my mommy!"
Auron12786 my favourite are these:
“CHEESECAKE MA”
“CHEW IT CAREFULLY MA, LIKE THEY TAUGHT YOU AT THE HOME”
“ONE WORD OUT OF YOU AND I’LL CUT OFF YOUR SUPPLY OF METAMUCIL”
@@gp2779 Yes! That was another good one. LOL.
Why should I deny being in denial when I never said I was in denial? YOU are the one who said I was in denial, and don’t you deny it! 😂

one of my fave lines Dorothy ever said! LOL
I wonder how many times she screwed that up?
The savage Golden Queen 😂🤣🔥🌋!

Dorothy will always be my favorite Golden Girl. She was so sarcastic and utterly savage and Bea Arthur's delivery was always perfect.
"TO FEED THE CAT ROSE!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It NEVER gets old 😂😂😂😂😂😂
i lmao at that

Oh for the delicious days when we weren't controlled by political correctness! When we could actually laugh at each other, because it was genuinely funny and our intention was never to hurt.
One of the good things about being raised by TV is that sometimes we’re lucky enough to get our sense of humor from someone truly hilarious.
There's something to be said for that. I still even today look for opportunities to quote Dorothy if I can!
And if your parents weren't lazy failures, you could've developed a sense of humour on your own. :)
This show is so relatable, you feel like these ladies are your friends and you've known them for years, the magic of this show. Best sitcom hands down. RIP girls you've gone but not forgotten, your legacy lives on. xoxo 4 Queens of Sitcom.

Easily the best show in American history.
My favourite moments of Dorothy's- all of them.
Sarcastic, sharp, quick, direct, bold, brash and with a strong loyal, sensitive and caring side, and damn fine on the eyes.
Dorothy Zbornak....My spirit animal!😍
Every time I'm having a bad day ... Dorothy Zbornak's burns make me whole again!!
The brilliant Bea Arthur.
Every bit of shade I learnt & how to throw it i learnt from her #GOAT. All of them were so important in my formative years... they don't make shows like this anymore

Have you used any Dorothy lines in particular?
Bea Arthur was always my favorite. I’ve named every car I’ve ever owned after a Golden Girl, taking care to match the personality. My first was Bea Arthur and I cried when that car broke down. Rue was next, and Estelle was my last car before I got Betty.
One of the greatest characters ever written for television and Bea Arthur was the only actress that could pull it off so convincingly. Absolutely perfect performance for the entire duration of the show.
Look fluff head. Omg. Lol
😆😂😅 surprised she didn't call her somethin else!!
Why is this much funnier 😂
Dorothy is my spirit animal😂😂😂😂
Dorothy: **Holding a box of Pizza**
Rose: What did you get?
Dorothy: A bucket of chicken
Hope you like it flat and crispy
Perphaps she wasn’t looking or she thought she’d bought more…Dorothy lacks emphatic skills.
Now I want a bucket of chicken! 🥺
That’s by far my favorite one
Dorothy was one of my favorites out of the Golden Girls. She was so funny especially with her sarcasm.😆
Dorothy was one of those characters where if she was a real life person you would not cross her, the show proved that she could decimate people with a few choice words
She was a real life person: Bea Arthur. Bea seemed to be quite like Dorothy in real
Life. Scary, a bit bossy but quite kind.
Not just words. She could make you shrivel with a stare.
Only Sophia could top her. You see where Dorothy got it from.
Dorothy's specialty: sarcasm
I should have worn a diaper after Dorothy said "To feed the cat Rose".🤣
I love how she knew Sofia was gonna say something by instinct hahah
Dorothy is the Queen of sarcasm 😂😂
I wish I was as sarcastic as Dorothy. I’m more like Rose though.
which means you're innocent. I'm innocent too. Be happy with it
Lucky . . . . I'm like blanche
I sometimes could be like Sophia.
And my friend is like Dorothy while I'm Rose. We have the exact relationship 😂
@Bob Smith 🤣
I remember watching The Golden Girls as an adult with my Granny. We've ALWAYS watched the Originals, but back then I was a little girl. I asked her which one I was....she instantly said "Dorothy". I asked why, and she said because I've always "told it like it is".......my mother backed it up saying that I "shoot straight from the hip" lmao......R.I.P Granny, and also to my Counterpart Ms. Authur ..... I'll keep "Telling it like it is"!!!! 🙏🏾🌹❤️
3:11 makes me laugh every time 🤣
To feed the cat Rose 😂😂
God I just love Dorothy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂her quips an dealing with Sophia an Rose also kill me

Thank you susan Harris for creating a show that would be timeless and priceless all this time later. A show with ladies who would have thought to never get along did somehow get along.
To feed the cat, Rose!🤣
2:25 This moment omg

RIP the girls 🖤🥀🥀🥀🥀❤️
Bea has the best comedic delivery I've ever seen. Just..... perfect
That's was really funny and I love the denial joke lol 😂
2:45 I've been used this many times unfortunately. For the ones on the receiving end anyway. Lol 😀
Do you guys have a comp with Dorothy's "That tea's for my mommy" skit? If not, you should get it.

2:25 pure gold 🤣🤚

"Look fluffhead" 😅
Rose: Do we have any orange juice left?
Dorothy:(proceeds to pour the remaining OJ left in her cup) No, we're all out.
Dorothy: Stanley, what do you want?
Stan: Dorothy, I know you're still mad at me for ruining your wedding, but I have some big news that I thought you might like to hear.
Dorothy: You've misjudged me.
(Slams the door in Stan's face)
Dorothy: Rose, that's an article about an earthquake in Guatemala!
"If you're not denying you're on denial, then you're on denial."
Can we take a moment to appreciate how Rose managed to outwit Dorothy with that one?
Dorothy RULES✊🏻💜
Love this clip Dorothy pouring all the juice on her glass,😂😅❤
Dang she is like my hero 😍😍😍. So badass.
I love them all but Dorothy is my favorite
Blanche to Dorothy: Well I'm not going to stand for this.
Dorothy to Blanche: Well you'll be lying down then.

TO FEED THE CAT ROSE!!!!!!
They were so funny . Rip bea,Rue,Estelle n Betty🙏✝️🕊🤍
My favorite moment was:
Blanche: “I’ve only had one talent. Turning men on! I’ve never been able to turn them off!……YOU DO IT, DOROTHY!!!!!!😃😃😃😃😃”
Dorothy: “……I would but remember we just want to ‘turn him off’, not DRIVE THE SEX DRIVE COMPLETELY OUT OF HIM!!!!!!!!!” Lmao 😂
Started watching the show after Betty's death. Best decision I've ever made in my life.
Dorothy is the best.
Sophia too

Rose we brought dinner - what did you get? A Bucket of Chicken. LOL.
At a dance marathon for charity:
Blanche to Dorothy: ... after all I have more endurance than you considering your age.
Dorothy: We're not talking about you on your back.
Every time I see this I think of her in Maude in the 70's. For some reason its her grey hair that gets me. I can tell she had such experience as an actress.
2:26 was the best!!!
The orange juice bit is the best
' With a man?'
' No, Blanche, with a venus fly trap '
Where does Dorothy even come up with these?? 😂
She learnt from the best. Her mom.
In a past life I may have been a Dorothy Zbornak. 🤣😎
Loved these ladies! watched it every week.
Rose: What if it's got a deadly black spider in it that's gonna bite me the minute I open it?
Dorothy: Stomps and jumps in joy on letter on floor.
I like how she doesn't even jump on the letter for Rose all that much, she mostly dances next to it
At 2:30 I'm like Sophia, someone would have to hold my mouth shut.
Oh my God. Same.
I cannot deny that this was funny.
I’m a Dorothy to my core❤
TO FEED THE CAT, ROSE!
I would've loved Dorothy vs Al Bundy. Two masters of brilliant sarcasm. Idk who'd even win.
Fluffhead!! LOL!! Poor rose cops a lot of flack from Dorothy!!
a bucket of chicken.i hope you like it flat and crispy 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The fact apparently Bea and Betty didn't get along are devastating to me still. They had such good chemistry as Dorothy and Rose.
Thought those were just rumours?!
@@ebonyloveivory They were actually very close in Season 1. In fact, Bea - being an introvert - wouldn't go to lunch with Rue unless her friend Betty joined. Bea and Betty were also the primary caretakers to their very sick mothers. Their mothers ended up dying around the same time, and they got through it with the support of each other.
Perhaps Betty winning the Emmy first caused the initial rift because Bea's son said he felt his mom thought she was more of an actress than Betty since his mom came from the stage, and Betty was on game shows. But those were his words, not Bea's. I personally believe it's more likely their conflicting personalities and acting philosophies resulted in them drifting apart.
But I don't think there was any hate or disrespect or this never ending feud. It makes for a good story, but if stuff was really going down, it should have come out before Bea's death when she could have shared her side. Bea's son summed it up when he said Bea had problems with Betty, but still liked her.
The one thing that rubs me the wrong way was when Rue shared that Bea called Betty a "c*nt." She told the story twice, the second time being at Bea's memorial, and apparently it got a lot of laughs like it was a joke, but how is that a joke?
As the story goes, Rue's husband had thanked Bea for inviting them to a party after Bea's one-woman show to which Bea replied "I love Rue. Betty is a c*nt." But I don't see how it's funny, and it's odd that it came up at her memorial.
Rue continued with another story, a much softer one in which she called Bea over one Thanksgiving break after Rue's mother died, and Bea told her to come over. Bea made up the guest bedroom for her and sat with her while Rue lied there. And Rue said it was the first time in 6 days that she felt any peace. So that was sweet.
And in a 2019 article, I found a quote Betty wrote, "I don't even want to contemplate what the set of The Golden Girls would be like if we didn't all support and respect one another...From the very beginning, we were each thrilled by the professionalism of the other three. No one had to be carried. Whatever one of us served up was returned in kind...or better."
Not sure if the quote itself is also from 2019, but it sounded like in the end, they managed just fine. Maybe not the best of friends, but I think if you work so closely with people for so long, you can't help but care about them (even if you get annoyed with them sometimes and possibly say things you later regret).
I don't like how all this got brought up right after Bea's death and still continues today. She's not around to defend herself, and honestly, the more you read, the more conflicting information you find. No one except Betty and Bea know what really happened, and unfortunately, we can only hear from one of them.
What bothers me the most is that this all came out after Bea died when she could not share her side of the story, and it often portrays her in a negative light. But I doubt Bea hated Betty. Even Bea's son said that Bea had her problems with Betty, but still liked her. A never-ending feud makes great drama, but but it sounds like Bea was simply annoyed by Betty.
Afterall, Bea was a private and timid person (whereas Betty was extroverted). You can see it in interviews, and also when she won the Emmy for Golden Girls, she looked like she was about to fall apart. Plus, Bea came from the stage, where there is a 4th wall and you don't interact with the audience during the show. Betty came from TV and game shows. She loved the interaction. Bea's son said it was a focus thing. That his mom preferred to stay in character while taping, while Betty did not. These interactions with the audience also made taping last longer than it should have, and it seemed like Bea just wanted to do her job and go home.
In the end, all the Golden Girls were all professionals and if their relationship was as terrible as some make it sound, we would have heard about it in the 80s or 90s. Or sometime before Bea died. Maybe not from the actresses themselves, but from someone on the inside. I am not saying they were the best of friends (although they certainly sounded like best friends in the beginning of the series - see my reply below), but I think if you work so closely with people for so long, you can't help but care about them a bit (even if you get annoyed with them sometimes and possibly say things you later regret).
It also doesn't sound like Bea really did anything to Betty; that it was Betty's interpretation that Bea was not fond of her, and that Bea considered her a pain in the neck, and again, that comes down to conflicting personalities and acting philosophies. I am sure there was tension at times. But as far as Bea treating Betty horribly goes, I doubt it happened. There would be specifics by reputable sources and not vague stories from say, the National Enquirer or random people online.
I’m under the impression that these stories out there about Bea and Betty have been totally overblown……..at least I hope so. I think they had very different personalities and that caused some conflict. I’m having a difficult time believing there was a major rift/problem between them.
RIP to all of these great actresses from the Golden Girls.
The same could be said for Vivian and William of I Love Lucy! They truly hated each other!
