I love how all their characters seem to blend well and they really are so different.They just crack me up . If you ever want something.to unwind with this is one of the shows to do that with because it has so much humor going on.

I was born in 1980 so, I was just a kid when this show became popular. Every Saturday night I spent the night at my Grandma’s house and we’d watch this! Such great memories! My Grandma was basically my Mom so I didn’t mind watching 4 other Ladies like her living in Miami together!
▪ Sophia constantly nagged Dorothy about not going on enough dates (she acts like the woman was never married!), and then she (Sophia) sabotaged and overly criticized many of the dates Dorothy did go on. 🙄 ▪ What Ted did to Dorothy around 9:48 was so incredibly insulting! He deserved what she did to him afterwards before leaving the restaurant.😀
I hated how Sophia interfered in Dorothy's sex life and then acted like it was no big deal. The prom date episode with John N ended well, but Sophia's initial interference was understandably enraging, and I saw D's mindset yesterday's news or not. I've done my share of what ifs over the years, some of which may not have had much better outcomes if I'd responded differently, but who knows? Most of my past( until a few years ago) didn't seem to have ' the Butterfly Effect' level of severity: I didn't have to deal with kids with a violent streak too much, the child abuse yeah when I was young, but the random acts of violence, not so much. I miss this show, but all the characters had their flaws and strengths, Rose annoyed me periodically, but Sophia aggravated me more for the above reasons. To be continued
The best line is when Sophia says if I know my Dorothy there is only one thing that makes her this happy and rose says you’re going back to shady pines😅😂❤
I promise I don't have dad issues, but honestly, some of these older gentlemen have a certain air to them that's so damn refreshing, yet classic. They're so damn gallant and gentle, yet forward and assured. It's insanely attractive.
Only included the bad/awkward love interests, missed Eddie the love machine, Glen (Jerry Orbach) who was married then reconnected when he was divorced, Dick Van Dyke - the lawyer who became a clown and the detective (from the same episode as George Clooney)
My favorite episode is when Rose put Dorothy's will work for ad in the personal ad and the one guy said here is my 8 dollars Dorothy then Rose said im not Dorothy she is then he turned to Dorothy and said I will give you4 dollars.

Not too long ago I was in the hospital, it was night time and I was feeling home sick. I took the TV remote and began browsing the channels looking for something to watch. I was ecstatic when I found a marathon of the GG and suddenly I wasn't feeling home sick any more.
Same thing happened to me when I was sick with COVID. At the end of second week I was worn out feeling bad lonely and very depressed, suddenly the girls came on. I felt like family had visited me, and didn't feel so. Alone any more.

Dorothy really dated some scumbags the gym teacher, the guy who lied about being alone to his wife, the doctor who hit on Blanche then lied about it. Then the king of the scumbags her ex husband Stan lol. I really liked the under cover cop he was handsome and they had an intense connection. Lucas was the perfect man for her to end up with though, I was happy for her.
Ken played by Dick VanDyke was a good man for her. But Dorothy was embarrassed that he performed as a clown as a side job. She did the honest thing for herself by ending it with him realizing that if she loved him it wouldn't bother her.
