ua-cam.com/video/usFwH1EcUjw/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared Not for the whole set but 15 years ago, this dude used the hello kitty guitar in a major concert for a couple of songs.😂
If you have even the CHEAPEST guitar in the world, if you are good at playing it, you can make anything sound good. And I mean it for all of the guitar players in the world.
Just by chance… Have you seen Zakk Wylde play the tiny little kids acoustic version yet? It’s on UA-cam and it’s so awesome to watch someone like that play a cheap ass little kid’s guitar! 😄 he rocks the everloving Sh!t outa that thing ! 🤣
At 62 years of age and deaf all my life I started learning to play the guitar last year in the privacy of my home. Can’t imagine myself being able to hear my own playing surrounded by other loud musicians, so I envy your ability to tell the difference between those two guitars in a loud environment.
They wear in ear monitors to hear themselves. Im not a musician, but I've seen some of the crazy setups they have so each band member can hear their instrument cleanly.
@ Thank you. I do remember Arnel Pineda of Journey band was having difficulty singing because the sound technician was sending bad signals and now he has a better sound technician allowing him to sing better. I wear cochlear implant in right ear and get tired of hearing my mechanical watch ticking away. I love my modified Fender Squire Sonic 😜🤘
I have the pink one. I played it at the music store as a joke, but it was actually amazing. I replaced the pickup with a Seymour Duncan. I've played it many times on stage, taken a lot of shit, but also a lot of props for having the balls to do it and because it actually sounds great. I play rock and metal. I wouldn't want to play much clean stuff on it, though.
You finally played the most METAL guitar ever :) Sucks that it was in bad condition, but it didn't seem like you had a choice. Looking forward to seeing you live in January!
BERNTH, I wanted to say I love your videos, I just got back into guitar and I’ve been getting better with your lessons, I love you and thank you for helping me!!!
My main gigging guitar is a Squier mini-Strat that I converted to a Hello Kitty guitar with some well-placed stickers. It is super light and sounds like a Strat, which is what I wanted.
I love how because you said "The Big Show is this week already", UA-cam tagged Paul Wight (The Big Show wrestler) down in the video description 😂 Great playing as usual!
i recently scored a pink all original Hello Kitty Squier not too long ago. Serial number checks out and it came with the hello kitty picks, headphones, strap and case. Its MINT. They are getting hard to find in that condition with everything it comes with. Super stoked to own one even though i dont play it much to keep it pristine. ill do some covers with it but thats about it. Great video Bernth!
In full honesty. Doing a live show with a cheap guitar gives you a few freedoms you don’t have with a show piece. You can destroy it, give it away, use it for self defense, use weird tools like a power drill strummer. It can be truly liberating 🤘
Now I hope the owner of that guitar treasures it when you gave it back. I'd put it up on the wall and tell guests "Yeah, Bernth played this in a huge arena".
Joakim of Sabaton also used one on tour, which I believe started as a prank from Pär and his tech, but became a staple of the show because people loved it so much
Watching him walk through the green room with pov camera brought back traumatic flashbacks from all my performances. I felt that fear again. Thanks Bernth💀
sup man ive watched some of your mistake vids that you made 2 years ago bc iv noticed that my technique was fading bc i quit lessons a long time ago its been 1 day now and i increasd my speed with 20 bpm thank you so mutch man
From what I understand...the Hello Kitty guitars are back in production. For how long I do not know, if you do find one you could mod the hell out of it and take it out on the road!
Great for you! Congrats on the Great show! There is nothing wrong with playing cheap guitars in live concerts. Eddie Van Halen used a very cheap home-built guitar and Eric Clapton played a Squier Stratocaster back in the 1970s/80s. As long as its in tune and has some good Pickups or Humbuckers, its ALL GOOD ! Rock On ! By the way, even pro musicians have used Squiers and cheap guitars to record music in the studios. - Example; Marillion - "Misplaced Childhood" is the group's most commercially successful album, peaking at number one in the UK/EU charts and spending a total of 41 weeks on the chart. It ultimately gained the Platinum status. They play a Squier Stratocaster. This whole "name brand" obsession with guitars and some people is all a marketing brainwashing strategy.
The timing is so perfect in coinciding with the re-release of the Hello Kitty series, Fender... I mean, "Ibanez"... ought to owe you some sponsorship fees too...
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!! I THOUGHT YOUR INTO SOME METAL SHIT. BUT WHEN YOU GUYS START PLAYING IT'S TOTALLY DIFFERENT GENRE!!! WHAT A TWIST A FIRST TIMER IN YOUR CHANNEL!! LOVE IT!!! HAHAHAHAHAH
This isn't surprising. I mean if you were in the 90's, a TON of bands would roll through town, hit the pawn shops and get the guitars ship shape for shows. That's the fun of it! These days, offerings from Harley Benton, 10s guitars, and similar are crazy now with quality instruments for cheaper. Yes, they have issues sometimes. Sometimes you gotta dress the frets, take a file and smooth out the fret sprout or adjust the truss a bit or intonate it etc, but I'd do that with any guitar I get regardless so doesn't bother me none.
So if I can find a Hello Kitty guitar will I sound like you? I think if I can only find one, then I will be a great guitar player. Loads of fun! Loved this episode!
The hello kitty strat has been my daily driver for over 10 years now. My sister got it as a gift, lost interest, and then it was given to me cuz I played bass. Ive only recently been putting the time in to seriously learn guitar, and I'm considering an upgrade
it's not a hello kitty that you needed but my hello kitty spec: electro EMG without soldering gain + afterburner + seymour duncan blackout + self-locking meca sperzel and that makes the coffee I almost forgot mine is pink !!
I've been trying to find an old one for my 16yr old daughter...I planned on hot rod'n it out....I've seen they are very hard to intonate, and just need setup....
From what I was reading in the comments here, they are going to be re-releasing them soon under the name hello kitty shredcaster, and the build quality is supposed to be better this time around. I think they are gonna be 500 bucks new. Any piece of that info could be slightly off, though, since I am just going by UA-cam comments lol
I just bought a $160-$200 Indio jazzmaster that i am going to mod with Seymour Duncan pickups and some cosmetic mods and honestly the guitar sounds sick on its own the P-90s give a nice punch and they can even sound nice clean idk when i look at other indio guitars the don’t look so good so did i just get lucky with this one? Lol goes to show that price doesn’t mean everything
I think they kept is strat shaped because kids want to own a "real" guitar. If you make the body into a goofy shape you loose the real feel. And it'd be difficult to hold.
Bro, Marty Friedman played that crappy acoustic guitar (though at studio) but this is what separates pro's from beginners. If you give them a 2x4" plank with a iron wire, they can make it sound cool. Like Steve Vai said. The sound is in you're fingers, it's not a about gear. Good gear just makes the job much easyer :D

You should get Ibanez to make u a custom with great specs just for you 🎉 hello kitty metal guitar would sell

And how nonchalant he's sporting it 😂
Ibanez will be mad😂
Why not just ask Ibanez to make him a custom "hello kitty" guitar. Hahaha
@@nilonearth5987haha thats amazing just watched it thanks 👋🏼
The ammount of bassists owning the hello kitty guitar is hilarious 😂
It's true, I'm a bass player and I own one 😂
The way the Guitar tech says, " yaay, hello sh*tty" is so hilarious 😂
If you have even the CHEAPEST guitar in the world, if you are good at playing it, you can make anything sound good. And I mean it for all of the guitar players in the world.
There definetly are some guitars that come out of a factory unplayably bad though
Thats true but with the correct guitar set up that compliments with playing
100 percent
String Action matters
The guitar might make you not sound good even with good playing skills tho like the strings breaking
Am i the only one to get extremly hyped when i see this guitar getting played by anybody?
I love the Hello Kitty instrument videos.
No. I love that guitar!!!
Yes
Nope, I love this shit.

It's a Basswood Strat with a Humbucker in the bridge position. With a proper setup it can work for metal.
I wish your videos were longer, you’re one of my favorite guitar youtubers
You were about two weeks early with this. They reissued these, and they just hit stores. They are legit! I was just rocking out on mine.
It's now called the HELLO BERNTH guitar.
