  • THE MURDER OF JERSEY BRIDGEMAN!
In 2011, a young Arkansan girl escaped abuse at the hands of her stepmother and drug-abusing
father. Back in the full time care of her loving mother, she began putting the past behind her and
was enjoying a happy childhood. But that all changed when a predator, hiding in plain sight,
entered her world. This is the tragic story of a young life, marred by abuse, cut brutally short.
This is the murder of Jersey Bridgeman

I have heard of so many kids being abused because they "steal" food. A child should always be allowed to eat when they're hungry, they are never "stealing" food.

    • @PocketPoe
      @PocketPoe Рік тому +5

In an effort to add levity... my son would STEAL food. That boy would creep through the house and eat EVERYTHING. He once ate 7 pounds of chocolate from his sister's kindergarten valentines cards. He is 15 now... we gave up and just bought him his own fridge. I swear he has a hollow leg... eating was and is like a hobby to him. Luckily, NOW he chooses healthy foods to eat constantly.
On a serious note, though, I agree that children do not "steal" food when they are hungry. They eat what they can get their hands on, anything to make their hunger lessen. It is heartbreaking to hear cases where a child is so hungry that they have to sneak food.

    • @XjaXemX
      @XjaXemX Рік тому +8

Yeah I agree. I know someone who's kids ask permission for EVERYTHING, they can't have crisps or a snack without asking and because of that, the snacks in my home are easy accessible to my son. He has his own little drawer in the fridge with his yoghurts and things, he knows that if he wants a snack, he can have one (unless I'm making dinner 😂 ) but I never want my child to feel like they need to ask me to eat, this is his home and he feels so comfortable in this home that he can help himself and that's what I want.

Couldn’t agree anymore. We have a rule in this house. If your hungry or thirsty you don’t need to ask. Even when the kids friends come round and ask. I always replied our home is your home help yourself you don’t need to ask.

I always yell this at the television! There is NO SUCH THING AS STEALING FOOD! Even if your child is overeating, there are easy ways to make sure they get on track and you can always have healthy foods available. I've heard the argument that the child was overweight, so the fridge and cabinets are locked. No. Never. Get off your ass and get to the root of your child's needs. In these cases, though, it's usually/obviously because the child is being starved. It's such a sickening element of abuse. No child is ever stealing food.

People who abuse children are NOT mentally unwell, they are purely evil & sick! This is why innocent people with mental illness gets their child taking of them, because people let others get Away with their actions & abusing children by saying their mentally Ill. So pissed! People who torture and kill children should get special treatment in prison. I don't care if it sounds barbarous. For me, if the devil exists, he works through the actions of this type of perpetrator.

@@Bonnie_Lou, that’s exactly how I feel about children who are murdered in their mother’s wombs. Nearly 70 million since 1973. I sincerely believe that one of those precious babies would have discovered the cure for cancer and other ones would have discovered the cure for many diseases, like diabetes and Alzheimers. And one would have come up with a way to stop world hunger and another one would have perhaps even discovered a way to stop pedo’s from becoming pedos before they can hurt children. So many people who claim to love children and advocate for them, are the same ones who march in the streets and protest to make sure that women can continue to k!ll their own babies in the womb and some advocate for women and doctors being able to do this even after a child is born alive during a botched abortion. They want to let the baby die on a cold steel table alone, or be thrown in a trash basket and left to die alone.😢 I will never ever ever understand that. I wanted more children and wasn’t able to have more, I would have gladly taken one of these babies. And these women just throw them away in the name of convenience.🤬
Rest In Peace precious Jersey, you deserved so much better in life. It’s comforting to know that you are safe now, and that no one will ever be able to hurt you again. I’m so sorry for everything that happened to you.🥺😢

    After 65 years!!!!!!
The name has finally been found out!
Joseph Augustus Zarelli (13 January 1953 - February 1957), formerly known as the "Boy in the Box", was a boy whose naked, badly beaten body was found on the side of Susquehanna Road in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 25 February 1957. He appeared clean and well-groomed, with a new haircut and trimmed fingernails, although he had suffered severe physical abuse before his death and had numerous bruises on his body. He was also found to be malnourished. The body was covered with scars, some of which were surgical in nature (mainly on the ankle, groin and chin). Police believe the cause of death to be blunt force trauma homicide.[4] He has also been dubbed "America's Unknown Child".

As a resident of the area of Arkansas where this took place I have learned things after listening to your coverage about this case that is new to me. I unfortunately am discovering after watching this that Amanda was my neighbor a couple of years ago and I was always very disturbed by her energy and how she behaved not knowing that she was “The Amanda” this gives me such horror knowing I lived right next to her. I have a six year old daughter and always had this instinct that something was off about her and all of the people in her household. She at the time of my being my neighbor would baby sit neighbors kids and always had children around…Please please please look into this women there are so many things not right with her and so many red flags that her involvement or knowledge that Holly was inappropriate with Jersey at least should be considered!

Not to mention 5he disgusting fact that she stood by him, knowing he not only raped a precious little girl, he murdered her. I also can feel the "vibes" of people, but, as I'm sure you know, not everyone has this ability.. I would almost bet everything I own that he was SA his own children, or the children that were living in their own house. Amanda may also have been SA them. Women like that will do ANYTHING to keep a man, even if it's to offer babysitting for free to gather victims for them. Because she's SUCH a good hearted person right? 🤢
I can't imagine the mental and emotional guilt this poor mom has went through, because even if she hadn't left the door open, she would've blamed herself for something else. That monster would've found another way to get to his desired victim. Imagine getting your baby back, finding out she suffered abuse by her own father and stepmom to only lose her to a disgusting monster and his sidekick. 8 can't believe that Amanda wasn't arrested, or at least her children weren't interviewed and removed from her care..

Having someone who you can lean on at a time when you don't know how in the hell you're going to be able to afford everything to raise your children is a blessing. How many children are kidnapped a year? I suppose you blame all those parents too?
I sincerely hope that you're never in the place of these parents, because children have snatched from their own backyards, blaming the parents when they've done nothing wrong, is extremely narcissistic.. Being perfect such as yourself must be nice, I can't believe they've not made a movie showing how you're the perfect mom . Idk the ages of your children, but I imagine that they've never been more than inches from your person their whole lives have they? Never stayed after school, went to play at a friend's house, play sports, participate in after school programs? Quite frankly, you're the type of person I wouldn't allow my children around, because if you expect perfection at all times, your children are going to end up traumatized.. bye .

I feel terrible for the life of torture that Jersey was made to endure at the hands of her father David and stepmother Jana, as well as the disgusting death that she was made to suffer at the hands of her, "Uncle Zachary" the nextdoor neighbor. However, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that something feels very off about DesaRae allowing anyone to get near Jersey after what she'd already been through. Perhaps she is or was a bit naive, but children of abuse are far more likely to be revictimized. These monsters can sniff it out and in this situation Holly was more than likely made aware of the situation via the friendship between DesaRae's and Amanda. I believe that whatever DesaRae shared about their life is what caused Amanda to be so eager to help with the girls, to the point that they had an open door policy. Where most husbands would balk at the responsibility of an extra set of children for very little compensation, Holly was clearly more than happy with that situation, which should have raised her eyebrow if not been a full blown, waving, red flag. In the end, I still have an abundance of compassion for her loss and I pray that no child ever suffer this abuse nor parent suffer this loss and I'm sure she has regrets every day of her life for ever letting her guard down.

I wait patiently for Wednesdays and Sundays to watch you Emma, truly are the highlights of my week! I met you on your Serial Killer next door tour and you really are such a sweetheart. I've not connected with any other UA-camr like I have with you. Hearing how passionate you are about people with mental illness not automatically becoming abusers really gives me some sort of ease. Admittedly can make me feel ashamed to speak up on things I have experienced incase people view me as a monster too with psychosis but you are so right. The majority of us wouldn't dream of hurting a soul. Hearing someone like you, not judge us helps ease the pain somewhat, so thank you for always being so empathetic and compassionate whilst telling the most heinous stories.
This case hit hard and truly has made my blood boil. Holly is a sick fuck and I really hope everyday he is paying for all the pain he inflicted on that poor little girl. 💔

It is terrible what Holly did to Jersey. The entire story is horrible. Holly’s abuse as a child totally screwed him up as an adult. It’s the cycle of abuse which is common in individuals who have been seriously negatively affected by enduring their own worst nightmare.
As i said, the whole picture is so terribly sad.
I also blame society for being dysfunctional.
However, I don’t dispute that Holly had to be removed from society to ensure this scenario could never be played out by him ever again

It makes me suspicious if he was abusing his own children and if Amanda knew about his sexual attraction to children and that's the reason she offered to babysit Jersey.. I don't believe that jersey was his first victim because monsters like him don't usually murder their first victim.. I can't believe that Amanda was able to keep custody of her own children. It's mind boggling to me that NO ONE thought that he was abusing his own children and that Amanda was aware of it..

I’m diagnosed as SEVERE anxiety disorder and I have 4 beautiful babies 1 of which has special needs, is non verbal and limited mobility and on a feeding tube…. And I have NEVER abused ANY CHILD! I HATE when people use mental health issues as an excuse for their own horrible actions, OR addiction for that matter! THERE IS NO EXCUSE TO HURT A CHILD! Let me also say I am a recovering addict with 4 years clean AND I had 2 of my babies when I was in active addiction and I never abused nor neglected my children even then! I was not the best mom and I did things I regret ( NOT ABUSE I NEVER ABUSED MY KIDS!) like that my son was running around with ratty looking shoes etc…. But it KILLS ME to hear these cases where bc they were in active addiction they hurt their kids, or bc of mental health issues….NO!! STOP GIVING BAD NAMES TO OTHERS WITH THESE DISEASES!!! Addiction DOESNT MAKE YOU A BAD PERSON And doesn’t mean all addicts abuse or neglect their kids!! Mental health issues DONT MAKE A PERSON ABUSE THEIR KIDS, nor does it make them dangerous or more prone to anger …. And you wonder why cops KILL people in mental health crisis??!!! Ugh!!! This guy CHOSE TO DO WHAT HE DID!! Nothing NOTHING MADE HIM DO IT!! I signed my kids over to my parents and got clean and got them home now…I take care of my kids and I have made amends to the ones that had to see me in addiction and you know what??? My oldest son told me he knew “something “ was going on but he just thought I was sick 😢 but he NEVER felt unloved or like I treated him “different “ or “ worse”, and I still have a ton of guilt but at least I know my kids don’t hate me for it… they’re just glad they have their mommy back and that I am healthy today…. And I’m grateful for that….but don’t think just bc someone has substance issues or mental health issues that they are abusive or dangerous ….

Emma: From America we thank you, most sincerely for featuring the innocent, little ones whose lives are brutally ended by the most devious that society holds. Have seen you on other shows and am always impressed by your analysis, poise, intelligence, knowledge, and heart. It surely is most difficult to present the cases concerning little ones. All the same you do it well, exposing the chosen evil underlying the crimes. On a lighter note, it doesn't hurt that you are also a beautiful woman and so poised. I think that helps to draw your audience in. Thank you, Emma.

As far as I understand, here in the U.K. it is standard practice to be photographed, fingerprinted and DNA tested on arrest. I’m not sure whether they actually process the sample from every arrest (I would presume that it is only financially viable to process the samples from cases that are going to prosecution and even then, not all). It is basically part of the booking in process. At least that was my experience on the one occasion that I was arrested. Though I should probably stipulate that I have never been charged with an offence.

I do understand that some people decide it happened to them so tough, I have somehow the authority to do this to you. A broken mind I believe. However I think the death penalty is too good for such persons. They should be shut in a cement room. Given enough to eat and drink to keep them alive. Then that's it. They get to sit there the rest of their unfortunate life.

Even when I was active in my addiction and I'm talking bad active addiction I still held down a full time job and I had dogs I took very good care of. They were still fed, didn't have to lay in their own filth, had water and vet visits when needed. Infact I had a pup that had gotten parvo during that time and I paid over $2000 just to get him better. So I don't understand how someone can not treat their own child like this even being an addict. There is no excuse for this insufferable behavior.

Stories like this are important, as you asserted, to bring these ugly issues to the light of our collective reflection. As caring adults in this world, we are tasked with recognizing the mal-use of young people in our lives. We're all responsible to speak up, and damn the torpedoes, if we think we're seeing violence (and words can be violent, as can negligence) against someone so young they cannot speak for themselves. Better to be wrong than to allow one more Harley to roam his perverted landscape of young bodies.
