A PREDATOR ON THE STREETS - THE CASE OF JORDAN MCSWEENEY

  • A recent study by the Femicide Census found that a woman is killed by a man every three days in the UK. In June 2022, a violent predator was prowling the streets of Ilford, East London, looking for a victim. The brutal encounter that followed shocked the nation and added volume to a growing voice - a voice calling for action to address the serious issue of femicide in the UK. This is what happens when a night out with friends ends in a chance encounter with evil. This is the murder of Zara Aleena.

When I was 22 I was sunbathing in Lincoln Park by Lake Michigan... I was a little off to myself near some trees. 5 men surrounded me and slammed me into a tree. I kicked their boom box so hard into one of their faces. It did damage and I was able to run for my life! But I didn’t feel strong and powerful.
I felt so much sadness and so much rage and also like I I had no value. 🥺
The police reluctantly took my statement..but they were never found. I’m much older now but I think that experience stayed with me all these years later. God bless Zara and her loving family. 🙏. May she rest in heavenly PEACE. 😔

    Hi Emma 🌹
Here in South Africa a woman is murdered every 3 hours. 💔
I am in constant anguish and fear for the safety of my beautiful daughter and my safety. We do not live in a safe area. The majority of men are very decent people, and women. The sentences men get are way way more punishing, for smaller things while a woman who is an accessory to murder gets a small sentence like 7 years a man 25

It really pisses me off that prisoners can dictate to authorities by refusing to attend their sentencing. I have heard this several times in cases you've covered, and I can not get my head around how they are allowed to get away with it. However, in this case, I am glad he wasn't there. This monster wouldn't give a toss about the impact statements, and I'm pretty sure it may have inflated his ego more by knowing the extra damage he caused to Zara's family and friends. His whole life seemed to center around, causing pain to others as much as possible. If he had shown glee or boredom when hearing the impact statements it would have destroyed these people further. This monster truley cares for no one except himself. With his history, I was shocked that he was not given a full life term without the possibility of parole. RIP Zara 😓

When I was 20 my childhood friend went to Germany to work in restaurant to earn some money as my country was just out of the Soviet union and most of young people were going overseas like Sweden,
Denmark, UK to find work for summer
and come back to university in autumn.
So till today I don't think even her parents know exactly what happened but it was Turkish restaurant and owners son was keep asking her on a date but she was engaged and had no interest in this guy.
Have in mind she was absolutely gorgeous very petite blue eyes blond waist length hair.
So one day out of the blue after another attempt to get her to go on a date this guy lost it he beat her beyond recognition raped her and stabbed her 17 times.
So the murderer turn himself in and got 16 year in prison.
Every time I think about this I get so angry I remember when we learned about this all her friends including me just literally thought that it's mistake it didn't happen until we went to her funeral.
That happened 25 years ago so he is out of prison and she would be 43 this year.

I was a victim of domestic violence and honestly I know how his ex girlfriends feel. I was choked MANY times to the point he would have to slap my face and I'd wake up. He stomped my ankle, pulled me by the hair and dragged me along the floor, he pulled not one but TW0 machetes out on Me and tried to kill me, only reason he didn't is he had a friend in the loungeroom and I screamed for help, and so much more. He had the same history as this man. He was violent from a younger age and out local police knew him and his mother (not cause she was bad, she just unfortunately had her son) by first name basis and she knew all the police at our local station by first name by the time he was TWELVE. he doesn't care about cops, he will fight cops, he doesn't care about going to jail. He worms his way outta it and gets probation. I even got a domestic violence order on him and he didn't even get sentenced, even with the evidence and people as witnesses. It didn't even get to go that far in court. He just got an order that said he wasn't allowed to commit domestic violence..... we all know how *well* that always works 🙄🙄 after watching many of your videos, I have learnt he was a psychopath. I was only with him for 2.5 years. Luckily I got to do an emergency escape on march 12 2019.

From 🇺🇸 I believe it's time for crimes against women to be classified as hate crimes with enhanced penalties. Rape with or without death and severe violence against a woman to include cases of dv.

Why a hate crime? Why not just enhance the penalties I’d be all for that only issues I’d see is so when a woman targets a man and yes I know it’s not as frequent but it does still happen does that become a hate crime also? If so then what about gay men violence husband beats up husband 🤷it gets muddy really fast hence why I say changing it to a hate crime may not be the best way to go but enhancing the penalties similarly like how hurting children or the elderly is handled?

    • @Janellabelle
      @Janellabelle Рік тому

@@grantbrendon if the woman hates men then yes it's a hate crime too, if the gay husband hates all gay men then yes thats a hate crime too but youre gonna have a hard time proving that one LOL. It doesn't get muddy if you understand what a hate crime is, legally. I used to think the Christopher Newsome and Channon Christian vicious rape torture and murders was a hate crime, and was shocked their parents didn't agree with me, but over time as I learned what a hate crime really is I realized it wasn't a hate crime at all it was a horrific crime, but not a hate crime. Which almost made it more bizarre...they liked white people. They were friends with white people. Dated white people. If they were a gang of black kids ppl that made it their ideology to hate whites then did all that shit and killed them, then THAT is a hate crime. But nope.

ps I don't care he didn't hear the victim impact statements. He is essentially irrelevant by that point of the trial, plus he doesn't care. Why would a person capable of the kind of brutality care about the devastation it leaves? It concerns me prisoners have the opportunity to refuse to attend court, they've really given up any right to choices. However regarding hearing victim impact statements, the important thing is the families and loved ones have the opportunity to articulate the impact of their loss and the judge has the opportunity to consider it when deciding the sentence, but the accused is of no consequence.

I know a judge in the states who was sentencing a guy to 2 1/2 years for a crime when the guy started spewing swear words. The judge told him he was holding him in contempt of court for the swear words and any additional swear words would get 6 months for contempt. The guy got mad and started on a tirade of swear words. He ended up getting over 10 years total for the original crime (2 1/2 years) and his swear words. The judge was later asked to lower it but he refused. The guy later appealed his sentencing and I don't know if he was successful, but I love that judge.

Femicide is a heinous crime which affects so many families. The children are motherless and a father in jail. The extended family devastated without a doubt and many, many women panick-stricken. What is bizarre though is the fact that we, women, have not yet been able to fully raise awareness and make our authorities, commutes, and society in general, internalize how grave this crime is and how it affects societies! In Nicaragua, my country, we women, with support from the government, private sector, and NGOs were able to address😮 this horrific reality, change laws, and make it such harrowing crime that the rate of femicide has come down in the urban areas. In the rural areas are, sadly, it is still going on strongly. We would need tons of money to take a strong campaign to those areas, money that, as country we certainly do not have. But even so, we manage to he “unilateral divorce” and harsh sentences for the perpetrators, namely, the husbands.
I loved your depth in this crime and your righteous outrage at the little effort that is being made to eradicate this disgusting act of violence still done to women. A big thank for today’s video...much admiration for your hard work. I have become a big fan.❤

RIP Zara and thanks Emma for highlighting this case.
I really relate to this case. I've had a few creepy guy moments in my time and it's ridiculous how some men (and women) think it's fine to just grope a person they've never met!
Two of the worst incidents happened in broad daylight. Both involved men following me. The first time I was out buying my lunch so I dived into the nearest shop and told the two guys working in there what was happening. Thankfully they scared him off then one of them walked me back to my work.
The second was after I'd been out for a couple of drinks at someone's leaving do. I confronted him outside a petrol station but he continued to follow me after that so I went into a bar and told the bouncer who phoned me a taxi to get to the bus station. I'm just glad that on both occasions I followed my gut instinct and was able to get out of the situation but both have left me very wary when I'm on my own.
I think both these experiences highlight Emma's statements that most men are appalled by this behaviour and will step in to assist but sadly also shows that there are some malicious ones we need to look out for too.
