Thank you so much for posting. I have a feeling that in the end, leaving his son as witness was a last effort of control...Control over who lives and dies.
Many years ago I met a lady, who, with the help of a friend of ours, escaped her controlling husband. In the days before mobile phones, he would unplug the house phone and take it to work with him and lock her in the house while he was out. He used to sit in the bathroom and watch her in the bath. She could never shop, or go out alone and he kept all of the money. Slowly over a period of many weeks, she would visit our mutual friend and each time she did she would bring with her, in her hand bag a pair of knickers and the next visit a pair of socks and so on. Over a period of time she managed to smuggle out enough for her to finally leave him and she had to leave everything behind.
She lived in fear of her life for a very long time but eventually, thank goodness, everything worked out for the best. She often said that it could have so easily gone the other way.
Thank you again for posting. I look forward to your videos every week.
    Regards from sunny Wales...

Emma said it would have been difficult for her to get a divorce, yet easy to leave a partner. That is so not true. A woman who leaves her partner is more likely to be murdered by her partner when she leaves the relationship. It is frightening, but true.

You did an amazing thing helping your friend.
These days with mobile phones, there are now apps where you can get secret cashback so people can swiffle small amounts of money away over weeks so they can eventually escape. Then burn that phone.
There needs to be "Auntie" networks to help people get away.

First, condolences for suffering for 25 years, and congratulations for finally getting free! You didn't have your ex served with papers and arrested during a meeting at his work, right? Sadly, the divorce and custody system is DESIGNED to create this kind of conflict and make men go postal. Karen (and Sunny) got HORRIBLE advice from their attorney to not just poke the bear, but humiliate him and take everything he thought was his. Job, livelihood, house, children, they set out to F*ck him over and leave him homeless, jobless, and living with his parents, turn the daughters against him, and cut short his visits with his son. Is it any wonder he went postal? Not at all approving of Kraig's sick actions, but the divorce industry is designed to create this level of conflict, and considers Karen, the daughters, and the grandmother "collateral damage".

The strength of this channel, imho, is Emma’s professional background. I’m engaged for over an hour most times, whereas ordinarily similar can be wrapped up in 20mins. I come away from these videos more ‘thoughtful’ about the whole situation rather than disengaged once it’s over.

I'm not a prude or close minded, but from what I've seen of threesomes and adding people into a marriage or relationship, it never seems to end end well. In this case, it was all about his control, but it backfired when she fell in love. I love the way you get into the heads of the perpetrator and the victims and describe their perspectives.

    • @dahliacheung6020
      @dahliacheung6020 2 роки тому +4

You're totally right here. Ive seen the following results come from threesomes in a heterosexual monogamous marriages (polyamorous and open relationships function very differently here):
      1. The first is probably the best option, that one person of the couple feels bad about it after but they decide that their marriage is worth it so they rededicate themselves to eachother and, sometimes requiring therapy, move past what happens
      2. The wife, have bicuriosity shes never been able to explore until now and enjoys herself with the woman more so than her husband and continues a relationship with the woman after, either secretly cheating while maintaining the marriage or more openly, requesting a divorce.
      3. The husband decides he wants to continue seeing this woman and either cheats or leaves his wife for her, so the male equivalent of the above
      4. The the husband after the threesome decides that this threesome gives him free reign to start cheating with whoever he wants.
      5. The wife doesn't enjoy the threesome or felt coerced into it to keep her husband happy and doesn't trust her husband anymore and just no longer feels comfortable with him, leading to her pulling away from him
It almost never occurs that they like it and just think well that's that and get on with their life as it was, or that they like it and continue incorporating threesomes into their marriage. Sometimes they become a three person relationship with the person they slept with.
But as you said, that's rarely happens and usually things just go poorly.

An extremely important point you have all neglected is that she and Kahler were separated and she was moving through the divorce procedures. The absolute right thing to do. Kahler started the ball rolling, but when his wife fell in love with the woman, I think years of him being a hideous partner eradicated her desire to have anything to do with him. He lost control of her, and began planning his attack.

Emma! Absolutely loved watching anything on tv that you were in and I was well chuffed to see that you started your own UA-cam channel as that's where I hang out these days. Needless to say, I subscribed immediately. Also, I appreciate the authentic version of you and I know what you were hinting at re tv. I worked in tv for over 15 years and the finished "product" tends to only be the reflection of the one person running the show, not necessarily the experts trying to get their point across. Editing is a wonderful thing, it can also be a divisive tool. Anyhoooo, just wanted to say "bloody marvellous job". It won't be long before you get that 100,000 subscriber award and then I reckon this channel is going to be massive. Many thanks - Beverley 👍🏻

On this one I would lile to share my own experience..
I am very much younger than my husband( 8 years) I was 19 when we married and my 1st child was born when I was 20. I was an stay home mother and I really did enjoy being the " happy homemaker" . When my husband had friends over I always made sure their drinks where never empty. So one day we where having a cookout and one of his friends literally shook his beer bottle at me because it was empty; my husband told the man to leave and that he would never be welcomed back. When I asked him why he said while he understood that I did the things I did to show him love and respect that he didn't expect it and he would never allow anyone to disrespect me

I’m really interested to know if there’s a big difference in the amount of family annihilations in America compared to the UK. Especially since guns are less accessible here which means if a person wanted to murder their family they’d have to do it in a much more personal, brutal way (stabbing, strangling etc). I wonder how many of these cases of familicide in the US wouldn’t have happened if the perpetrators didn’t have guns to distance themselves from the crime they were committing.
