Ronnie is smiling down , seeing these things being saved ! The original owner and my father were the best of friends. R.i.p. Ronnie
If you have an pictures of the original cars that would be interesting
@Ironcitygarage I will have to check and see what I can dig up.
@@Ironcitygarage Interesting to see. An offer was made to buy those Mustang’s prior to you purchasing them and the seller left us on “I’ll get back to you”. He did not. He instead sold them to you. Not bitter, just rotten code of ethics in wheeling and dealing.
@TruthHurtsSoGetAHelmet
He probably offered more money. Just a thought and I also agree the good old days are long gone on car dealing.
@@TruthHurtsSoGetAHelmet I was tired of the silent auction so I jumped the bid a couple grand and said this ends now take it or leave it.
Shame people leave cars to rust and rot to the point that they are beyond economical repair but would be good to see these cars put back on the road! Was super impressed with the reversing skills!😊
It's because people die Jules. Sad but oftentimes when there's no will prepared, the property may then spend many years in probate. That is if it's not foreclosed or sold for back taxes. Quite often that's where the long dead previous owner parked it in the shade last time he drove it, just never drove it again after that and it's not rediscovered till many decades later because it's concealed by overgrowth
So sad to imagine how beautiful these cars once were and how they eventually ended up.
Man, these rescues never gets old. Keep 'em coming.
Will do thanks for watching
Nice save! Two more Mustangs saved from the crusher. It will be fun to see if they run or not. Cheers! 😎👍🏎🐎🐎🏁🏁
I hope so too
Should have given that guy a T-shirt! Kid too.
Kid would have to learn how to put one on first.
That kid was annoying af
Just found you guys. These poor old rotted Mustangs just blow my mind. Lifelong Southern California native, 65 years old..we never see cars like this.. I have a 68 coupe I bought in my senior year, couple months before my 18th birthday. from the original owners. Early 68, sold December of 67. Has 289, automatic, power steering, Factory AC, manual brakes, optional turn signal indicators in the hood. Light blue, white vynil top, replaced 5 times lol, 2 tone blue interior. Its in really great shape, on the road . I dont know how you would even begin to restore these, but im intrested to see what you do with them, and wish you good luck!
That looked like a pretty cool 70’s ford truck sitting there.
Pete, I ran truck in W Va for 10 years and they’re the nicest people you’ll ever meet, thanks for the video 👍😊😉
I had 67 fastback in high school, loved it!
1967 fastback Mustang is the ultimate all time favorite of mine. The only car ever wanted more than anything. Not being ruined by the GT Shelby package
I came from VGG & saw you on the sidebar. Love this kind of stuff. I subbed & rang the bell.
Pete-Great video! I have a new found appreciation of the effort you have to put forth to retrieve some of these cars
Thank you!
Please try to save both of them!
Lucky you had that young man to help you! He had a great adventure day!
Agreed buddy had some fun
Good looking projects. Six banger with thrust stickers was funny. Takes a lot to save some of the great cars some times. Good luck.
Thanks, you too!

Hello From Finland !
Thank you very much 🇫🇮
@@Ironcitygarage Thanks , Same to You ! And All The Best to You !
Amazing to watch
Nothing like a classic Mustang! As an owner of two, I LOVE them! Hello from Miami's classic car scene.
The best!
I own two as well. My daily driver is a 2014 convertible and a '64.5 coupe, I'm putting back together. Welcome from the Pharoahs Car Club chapter out here in California.
Nice save..love have that brown maroon early fords bout 10mins in video..looked be 4x4
Rescuing two 1967 Mustang Fastbacks is so exciting! Can't wait to see if you can get them out of the hills of West Virginia. Good luck!
My dream car😢😢😢
I'm up in MN where everything is supper rotted, a trick I do is I use the wide ratchet straps or chains and I attach the front rim to the back rim on each side before I pull, it has helped me a few times not to rip these old cars in half. Hope that trick helps you guys some day, great video!!
Great tip!
THERES NO WAY YOU COULD OF GOT THOSE BEAUTIES ON THETRAI LR WITH UT THE LITTLE GUY GREAT TO SEE HIM WORKING AND NOT GETTING IN THE WAY HATS OFF TO HIM
He was a joy to be around
I don't know why but that one with the orange fender is giving me General Mayhem vibes. If motor is junk swap a big block out a Ford RV lol
That would be interesting idea
Impressive video - new subscriber looking forward to watching more from you.
and a reliable old man with wisdom and know ledge
Truth
I keep snatch block on winch line and chain come along to change direction on vehicle while winching.. Hook to side either side of trailer helps a lot.. also 4x4 wood post across trailer to winch over top to clear hooks n trailer
Little man was on point
He was also kinda in the way an annoying w his coughing every 3 mins. Somebody mail him some fishermen's friend cough drops
@@offroad4x4nhlife45he's a kid chill out the little guy was just trying to help no need in that S*** talk
@@enjoythesho1992 Thats exactly correct. It probably is a very exciting day for a young man trying his best to help out. I swear some a holes sure get offended by everything.
That kid and family , not the sharpest tools in the box.
Pete, good job in reverse!! These Mustangs if complete are worth picking up...
Thank you! Yea I’ve gotta say, those roads off 79 and that driveway were very challenging for a 40ft trailer. The 2 lane roads coming in weren’t very big trailer friendly, and that twisty uphill driveway with scrap metal on both sides was just barely workable for us. The video made it look smooth but I had a couple bites at some of those turns on the driveway haha
Glad to see that your subscribership has doubled since I first came across your channel
Welcome back!
Excellent...very good driving, Pete
Thanks 👍
Well it looks like the typical west byGod Virginia holler and all the typical sounds also good find!
It was for sure stereotypical West Virginia everything about it felt like WV
Great video from a “local” guy, as I’m also from the Mon Valley, just “down the road”. As somebody who’s restored a ‘68 Mustang and is currently restoring a ‘66 Fairlane, I have a bit of advice - take a good, long look at those torque boxes. Even if the floor looks wonderful, cut it out, especially where the driver’s & passenger’s feet normally rest. They sell torque box replacements, but a better job can be had if you replace them one panel at-a-time, using (at minimum) 16 ga. sheet steel. Also, weld along each seam, in addition to the factory spot welds. When you’re done with that job, go ahead and make some “sub frame connectors” using some schedule-80, heavy-wall tubing. Yep, been there, done that! Any questions, come to the Bethel Park ice rink (YMCA) and ask for “The morning Zamboni guy”.👍
There is an old junk yard here in Louisiana and has bunches of old classics sitting rotting away I love here in Eunice Louisiana
I looked at this and made an offer, funny to see this video a couple of weeks later.

Beautiful car😍😍😍
TWO!!!! thats a win
Agreed
I’m a Chevy guy especially with Z/28’s but when it comes to Stangs, my favorite yrs are 1967-1968, BUT in a fastback and nothing else.
West Virginia makes you work for what you get. I used to ioad cattle out of the old Fairmont Sale Barn in the middle of the night backing a 48 foot pot blind side into their old chute and they had one old 50 watt light bulb to make light for you.

Right on
Excellent pilot 😂😂
Thank you
THANK YOU
No Chris thank you for watch
Nice recovery, great find, nice job altogether!! Now avoid DOT, they are never fun.
You got that right!
Cummins soun sweet!
Scores!!! it's great these fastbacks are in your hands now and will be restored..also ya got lucky..I know WV because I'm from Oak Hill WV just outside of Beckley... And rust usually gets these classic cars before the restoration...ya never want to hold off too long on restoring..don't shove them in a corner and pay'em no nevermind..that how sure mother nature will take it back...
East coast cars are always ruff
From the Fayetteville area myself and yes, our old cars are interesting
I'm in Dunbar West Virginia also about 2 hours from Clarksburg
Beautiful state always fun time
You need snatchblocks to control your winch line pulling direction. They'll help you get the cars onto the trailer in the right direction a lot easier. Ahaa, I see on the blue car you finally used one.
Watch out for Mister No Shoulder's ( snakes ) 😊
Thankfully nothing
45 second teaser is all that gets done....I guess we'll see if the next video is worth staying subbed
Bunch of good videos coming out soon hope you stick around for it

PITY THEY DIDN'T HAVE CAP GO PROS IN NAAAAAAAAM
Charlie’s the brush!
With two winches you could steer the car to left and right. Never seen it but it would be handy?
I think it takes a lot of time for the car to work

I thought I was watching a scene out of 'Deliverance". lol
Which scene haha
@@Ironcitygarage there was a guy sitting on the porch, in the background, when you were getting the Mustangs. Around the 14 min. mark.
All he needed was the banjo!! lol
you have a horse shoe up your ares great find hope can safe them both
😂
Need a longer trailer 🤣
I hope you safe this one
We will do our best!
Couple of cream puffs you’ve got there!

I wish that i had found them
Rusty sheetmetal origami shaped like a Mustang
😂😂
Gd stuff. Hope you took little buddy to lunch
Can confirm, Buddy did get ice cream after.
Wish I could find one in the northeast that wasn't 1/2 way returned to the earth!😂
You don't suppose there is any poison ivy in them that hills, do you? haha. Many people don't realize what you can get into bringing those home. Great video
Oh yes there was Pete got some in his arm will chainsawing
This reminds me of the time I tried to get a S code with a smashed up front end out of a collapsing garage.
The nicest ones are always hardest to get
Will you need a frame table now for both?
Guess we will have to wait and see part 2 coming soon
In Ca the cars would of been a long time ago. Not many places like that in Ca
Very true
👍😎
That boy was not in the way, he was already sitting down and behaving.
His pap was yelling at him not us haha

Plastic skidd boards sre really good for locked up brakes.
Cool idea
What kind is that bed cover? Look nice.
It is a Tannu cover
This looks like one of those situations where the owner sat on those cars for decades and whenever anyone inquired about them they just said "not for sale I am going to restore them one day". These situation would not be that bad if the cars were properly stored, but most of these situation the cars just sit in the middle of a field just rusting to death. The decades then pass with the owner stubbornly hanging onto them until the cars start returning to the earth and are virtually unfixable. Owner then passed and now the cars get sold as rusted out hulks that are almost impossible to restore. What a loss...
Pickle me well and pickle me Dill!
Were do you get those tire straps.
Geno’s belt service, Bristol Tn
And I continue to search and search.
It’s a hard thing to do but never give up
I like old guy just don’t make them like they use to seem as we get older
Agreed
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I really like these type of car videos. But IMHO the rescue should only be a five minute piece at the beginning of the story.
We break it in to 3 parts normally. 1. The rescue, 2. will it run video, 3. anything extra if it calls for it.
So what's the finder fee that will decide if it's good enough
Finder fees on this vehicle are pretty good
blue one can make a one hell of rusty rat style car
Why you see a lot of tow companies using slings that go through the wheels.
Always a new tool to help make the job easier
15years towing and recovering..try Dawn dish soap and water for the bed easier to clean up and slick as owl shit
Ya Pete though about it but I think we needed up forgetting it so oil it is
So you couldn't jack the car up to get it hooked up?
No, I had to grab it by the front end anyways to line it up. If I grabbed by the rear to start it would’ve spun it around. It was kinda high centered on the ground. 2 wheels over the bank
✌️🤩. GUUU. AAAA. OOOOOOO. GRAN. ALLASGO. CHICOS. ✨⚡🇺🇸. GRASIAS POR. SALVAR. ESTOS. MUSTANG. ✌️. 🎱
Why didn't you just pound the prybar into the ground so the hook would be flush, and you could just go over it?
Saved? those are a couple heavy projects.
Yep, let us know if you find Ny
I know exactly where they bought those
Enterprise wv
A mustang out of sight is out of mind?
Agreed
such a shame to leave them rot away all those years!!let me guess,he didnt want to sell them before, because he was going to restore them someday????
Agreed
Them 2 mustangs are wasted. Money pits.fine a clean body and start there. You will save a lot of money. By the time you pay somebody to repair all the sheet metal you could buy one already done.
Do you restore these cars on this channel
No, just prep them for the end buyer
