That car was a landmark for me in the early 90s when I was going back and forth to college. Sad to see it come down.
Same here
But now it can drive on the road
Good to see it come down, now it can finally be fixed and not abused in the elements like that
But it'll be great to see it hit the road once again.
What a story it'll have tho once it's back on the road
Love the way you decided to save the little birds. Keep us updated on the little birds
Will do!
@@Ironcitygaragewhat kind of birds are they?
dead birds

One of the most unique car rescues I've seen in a while. And, that's saying something since I've personally towed over 30,000 vehicles. Two thumbs up 👍👍.
Wow, thanks!
That car was there 30 years ago when we had a 20th class reunion and it was a comedy club.Used to go there when I was in high school when it was called the carousel ballroom I believe. Going to miss the landmark for sure at least I know what happened to it. Great video!
Yes Carousels! Saw the Beatles tribute band 1964 there in 1997. What a great place.
i love that it will eventually see the streets again instead of wasting away .
What a great video. Saving the '56 was in itself a fantastic save. But saving those baby birds was very heart warming. Love you guys.
You handled the guy jerking you around much better than I would have . Love the channel. Keep them coming.
Used to go to overdrive as a kid all the time we just had our last prom after party out there 2023 wish I would’ve know the car was going for sale I would’ve bought it for our body shop here in Celina
Morning Pete! Wow! It's amazing those baby Robin's survived the ride back to your shop, you did the right thing by calling your sister.... really enjoy your Mustang & vintage truck videos!! Keep em coming!!
I used to ride by there all the time on my way to VanWert from Greenville. A friend showed me a picture of them removing it the other day and I knew right where it was, pulled it up on Google maps and showed him. I remember seeing all the names of the entertainers on the sign out front.
Thank you for saving the birds! 🙂
I was very cool watching you guys take that 56 off the sign. Kudos for having a heart and saving the chicks👍 keep up the great work and the cool videos 👍✌️🇺🇲
Yes, I agree!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
An amazing journey, those sorts of roadside attractions were what America and its highways were about, to me as an Australian. And bless you for trying to care for the baby birds .
I've drove by that car many times. Looking forward to seeing what y'all do with it.
Prolly wont recognize it when they are done.
It’s weird driving down 127 and not seeing this anymore! Thanks for saving it from scrapper.
Visited Idaho in 03, first and only time I visited the USA and was amazed by the amount of cars on poles I saw.
I always wondered if cars like these on signs would ever get taken down
Another iconic piece saved!
Time marches on and I'll miss that when I drive by. I hope I can see it return to the road one day
Why did they take it down.
@@terrencegiordan2775 I think the building is being converted to a warehouse or manufacturing facility
Great video. Reminds me of the vw that was on the pole on 66 in Washington township. Someone took that down. I guess the body shop wentbout of business 28:29
It’s cool to see a working, practical shop just getting stuff done.
I had a trucking route that took me by this car on a weekly basis in the 90s. Just happened to be driving by again a few weeks ago and was surprised to see the car gone. I was even more surprised to see this video come across my recommendations. Thanks for sharing!
What a save guys you know what you need to do you need to put a motor in that car and get that car running don't touch the outside of it cuz that's going to keep that car worth a lot of money because of that thing being a sign and a well-known sign great save guys
Thx you. Might be determining what happens to it here in a few days
That was a lot of hard work and a lot of broken hearts just so you could sell it.
It’s back in Celina now check your local Facebook groups
Always see cars like this. Wanted to do the same thing.. Good video guys
Theres a moving place near me with a 1967-1972 C50 chevy dump truck on the roof & a crane would probably be way to much money but id love to take it down & restore it.
You will be blessed for saving the sparrows.
Nice save, glad you took care of the birds. I know ads make the money but UA-cam over did it with this one. UK viewer
Thanks 👍
Kudos for saving the nestlings!
We don’t just save cars and trucks here at Iron city a garage
This videos for the birds😆
Seriously.. this is a good and fun video
Used to go there in the 70's. It was the Carasel then.
Directly across the street from Ballard High School in Seattle was Zesto's, a burger place. For 40 plus years there was a 57 Belair hardtop on the roof
Driven by that for years , def. was a landmark.
Very cool 🤙 there's a 59 coupe deville that's been on top of a building for since I can remember I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Only thing is there will have to be a roof repair to the building done too
There's a 57 chevy on a pole outside a muffler shop here locally and it's been here since new I believe it's painted like it was an old Nascar possibly and the paint is patina'd and looks about the same as when I was a kid. It's not as high off the ground though maybe only 15ft up and it's bolted to the beams
@@matthorseman2008 where/what state is that? Any pics we can google of it?
Good to see it come down off that Cross and get Saved rather than languishing up there on that pole out in the elements rusting out for eternity. Save the American Icon!
That car was up there for years. I remember it was taken down and redone in the 90's.
RHAT WAS VERY INTERESTING! YOU ALWAYS FIND THE UNUSUAL ONES.
I do believe back in the early 2000s I was driving coast to coast and remember seeing a cafe in the north east part of United States that had a similar sign with an old Chevrolet up like that
Glad to see the bids made it back safely with you guys. Seems like a kick ass landmark but judging by google maps there is nothing around there, getting it down was probably best in my opinion.
In my hometown they have a dealership with a sign like that but there’s a Lamborghini countach on it and I’ve wanted it since I was a kid
I saw this for sale on marketplace a little bit ago. Thats so cool
My grandparents lived down the road from this car kinda sad for me to see it go
The car is in excellent shape, but even so I can’t imagine it’s worth much more than what you needed to pay the riggers and your time and expense to haul it home.
After restoring that car they could get 50 to 100k I bet!
If dine right of course
The thing is the whole journey to get the car and its history adds to the value of the vehicle
@misterjizmester7103vote riggers, n......s same thing
Robert Stroud would be proud of you. Nice save! 😉🐤🐤🐤
I think so too!
That looks like my 56 up on that sign! :) There is a 56 Ford Crown Victoria on a sign down here in Whitney Texas. Don't know the story. Garage looks to be closed up.
There’s something sort of like this up in Vermont where I am from it’s a giant concrete gorilla holding a vw beetle
My first time on a lull, I removed a quansethut of a tractor trailer and I only had forklift training
we see your sensitive now Pete! Bravo! That's actually a nice chevy
I wondered what happened to this the othwe week i went up north. Im just south of celina 25 minutes, and always got a kick out of seein this thing in the air. Sucks to see it go
It was such a great land mark and sight to see why did they sell it?
The place sold and they auctioned everything
There's a mid year Corvette in the same position that 56 was here in Washington at a wrecking yard.. how much for the 56??
Birds where happy to lick the ketchup from the takeout tray!
Hell
to be honest
I think the 210 doesn’t look too bad pink
I’d say keep it pink 🤷🏼♂️
Would love to see it run the road again. Maybe drive back to where it came from under its own power
Hope to see it drive….looks clean
no wonder i could not find it when i went on vacation! 😥😯
I drive past that sign every day for work but never really payed attention to it ... when did yall cut it down ??
2 weeks ago probably
There is a 50 something corvette here in SC like that
Corvette world in Houston has a 80s vette on their sign like this
That would be a million dollar car restored guaranteed
Nice. Find. I wish I was financially able I'd drive to your place and buy it as is.
Was wondering what made them decide to change the sign and part ways with it?
Glad u saved it
I will miss that car it brings a smile to my face every time I see it
The youtube algorithm liked this banger. LFG
Great vid!!! 👍👍
Glad you liked it!
It was great as a billboard before but it's is well past time to make it running classic car again.
Hey i saw this listing! Was wondering if anyone was going to save it :)
The mother bird came back to the sign and was like: "WTF??!!! Where's my chrome home? So much for everybody remember where ya parked!!!
**********GREAT COMMENT**********
It's a sad day to see it come down. I drive past for the last 2 years. Now theres very little interesting on my drive. It's kinda weird seeing people take the same route as he did
Up here where I live we have a pink demon or duster waiting to hear its fate. Chilliwack B.C
Thanks for another , Brother. !!
Seen mustang fastback on way to Aniston AL same situation finders fee???
Call Pete tomorrow 4123356100
I would have left the rear axle on the sign and got it on a second pick. Cut the leafs.
Im not sure if it would withstand a hurricane as they can get pretty strong.
The ones down in Houston by me have withstood many tbh
It's just a figure of speech
That would be a cool video making it run and drive
'Sign' of the times! 😉👍🇬🇧🇺🇲
Lookup the car on a sign in Alexandria indiana at the hardware store.
if its only ten mins up the road cant you take them to the sanctuary ??
Cool 😎 thanks
Nice save👍
I live about a half hr from there been by it many times
What are you asking for the 56
My suggestions 8.1 vortec an 6sp manual swapped keep the outside as is…. Plus something different
Thats my favorite from the tri 5's.
saved that bird thanks ! Just subscribed !
Give an update on the birds please
They are dead
the birds are still in it lol!!!!!!
Parody of alman Brothers song: 🎶that chevy is no longer tiiiied to the advertising post,

Earnhardt raced a '55 that was sort of that color.
Is another car taking its place 😮
love that car
how much do you want for the car?
I know of a place with a lot of extremely rare cars in Washington State and they are all going to rot if they sit there are some pickup trucks that look like they're from the 40s and some other cars
Have a farm that has some 50s Chevy trucks and monza and some square bodies
send pics 412-335-6100
Bob Marley would be proud.. "3 lit' birds"
“For sale. Always elevated off the ground and stored in climate control storage, never seen rain or snow. Rarely driven anymore, need gone, bring cash”
Is that the one in ohio
What king of truck did you drive
I have a 23’ 3500 ram limited longhorn Cummins
id leave the car looing like this, Paint it what ever color this is and get it running and driving
Why would they remove it for?
Just because they closed, are they gone for good?
