I used to live in Minnesota, wished I had taken a trip up there. Wow the cliffs are awesome, LOL "only a 380 feet drop". Thank you for the camera shots, I know it is a pain to go back and get the camera.
I was wondering how you did Tobermory and Thunder Bay in one 7 day stretch :-) Getting a ride seems like cheating. Although riding the 17 from Sault St Marie to Nipigon would seem to be a pretty seriously dangerous trip. For next summer I'm looking at a loop from Ottawa through Orillia then up the Michigan peninsula and back through Tobermory. All on road and really lightweight with camping along the way. BTW, your videos have come a long way in the last few years.
Very nice. I visited that area a few years back. Sleeping Giant Park was on my list for a couple of years. Saw it from Isle Royal and *HAD* to visit it. Only got to ride my bike on the trail to Sleeping Giant though. Not sure if you've had a chance to visit the other side of the lake, but the riding on the Keweenaw Peninsula is pretty awesome.
Wow, the beginning to of the 'modern' Forestry Forest touring videos. Very cool to see and discover. **** >>>> Simon, could you do some sort of episode, maybe during this coming winter's downtime, retro type episode of your cycling past? I recall Iohan or maybe you mentioned something about other cool, far flung tours in Florida and other places that are not covered here or in your later videos. Maybe an episode where you speak to and detail those days? My guess is it would be of interest to the viewers of the pure cycling videos, as well as the views of your Van Life episodes (many watch both) wrt how you started, how you developed your style, etc. Even if video does not exist, just telling the tale would be of interest to many. Understandably, you don't emphasize music like you used to, but even a glimpse into that would be neat and insightful as well. My guess is it would all go over well! Tony
forestyforest We hit the Mexican border October 20th and ended the tour there. Were living in the Black Hills National Forest in South Dakota. Awesome roads to tour here, wide shoulders and beautiful scenery. Planning more tours, New England or maybe a Great Lake Tour including Canada. If you make through this way let us know.
A truly stunning video. Just so relaxing, just what is needed during third lockdown.
