I love watching your videos! If you ever get to the west coast, get a hold of me and you can come over for a cup of coffee. 😎 I was wondering if you use this with your towels and does it do the kind of waxy coating that regular softener sheets can. I don't normally soften my towels but if this still leaves them absorbent, I would.
I love the combo of lavender/vanilla! Also, have you ever noticed if the glycerin leaves oily stains behind on the clothing? Just curious. Another great video (as always)!
You're so awesome...you've saved me so much time researching. thanks again. I can't get azure up here so I just ordered the veggie glycerin from Amazon. Definitely need some lovely scent for some of our clothes. I have to be careful which oils I use though since hubby injured his nose years ago(he had very little cartilage left in it). Doc warned me after his surgery that he'd be sensitive to scent..but wow, he can use the strong smelling deodorants but one drop of EO and he's screaming mad at me with an instant headache.

And I enjoyed the fragrance - just enough to notice, but not over powering. Have you used Narcissist fragrance oil, or do u have a recipe for it. Thanks

@@LittleHillHomesteadGa Thank you very much, I really appreciate your help. I will definitely try that. You have an great channel and an awesome energy! Keep being you!
I actually hate the smell of chemical smells from certain laundry products. But since I got away from artificial perfumes I find that when others who use it are near me, it’s very sickening at the strength of it. I don’t think people realize how over smelly they are. Great video!! Do you have a recipe for a scented spray like fabreeze?
Oooo, I think I’m going to try coordinating my laundry detergent and fabric softener scents. P.s. I’ve been commenting a lot lately because I really and truly enjoy your content and presentation style. Soooo helpful!!!
I love this and just ordered glycerine to make some! BUT--my question is...why do you have so many cloths in the jar when you'll only be using one?! 🤔 😆 🤔
I always do lemon, lavender, tea tree and a touch of peppermint. If you want more basic lemon and tea tree are a great clean combo. More lemon than tea tree.
I love vinegar based foods--pickles, bbq sauce, sweet and sour, etc. but hate the smell for cleaning. Is there an alternative? Witch hazel, maybe? Less vinegar (although I can still smell it)? Diluted aloe vera gel? I think those ingredients would still be ok for softening clothes and wouldn't stain nor degrade the fibers in your clothes. What say you and commenters.
I make this but have never put glycerin in it. does it help the EOs stay combined with vinegar and water? Oil and water don't stay mixed and I'd love it if the glycerin kept them combined. Also, I recycled my daughter's baby washcloths to use as dryer sheets. They work perfect!
Quick question…can this be used on clothes that are flame retardant? My sister’s husband and son have work clothes that are flame retardant and she can’t use any regular fabric softener on this particular fabric.
I hadn’t thought about this. I just looked it up and they don’t recommend anything to soften the fabric be used at all. It messes with the fiber tightness and can add a layer to the fabric to prevent it from working correctly. For this reason I’m still going to say that I would avoid it. Sorry! Just want to be safe.
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa thank you. She did tell me that regular fabric softener does damage the flame retardant stuff that is in the fabrics if used on them & I ask about that before suggesting this to her. Thanks again for letting me know.
Not all are derived from coconuts, there are several other sources. You can read the labels or call the manufacturer. We have allergies in our house too. Hope this helps 🥰
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa yep. I make my own lemon extract with vodka and lemon peel. I assume I would need to use more, but there wouldn't be a negative that I am not thinking of would there?

It does! The vinegar takes it away.
