Well if you do the quest normally she loses the support of selune and it's even listed that way under her active effects if you examine them after the fight. So ig that'd be why
Her mom literally disowned her, so by the end of the game she doesn’t really have that kind of power to throw around

@@kaboutertje1561Because she breaks her oath by becoming a little bit too bloodthirsty, that’s why she feels hollow after battle.
Also Lorroakan is extremely easy to defeat with our without Aylin
@@kaboutertje1561while she more or less functions as a Oath of Vengeance Paladin she gets too bloodthirsty and has too much "fun" Killing evil doers. Now while a vengeance Paladin is very much for Killing, they are still Paladins and don't so it for tun but for a Higher ideal (Justice/Society etc.).
When she stomped on ketherics head she got a Pass because He was directly responsible for her torment. But Lorroakan Well... He should get a Clean sword to the neck and be done with it.
In the end there was probably a Plan for a possible "getting her Oath/Grace Back" Quest but it was Cut.
"Hey Aylin........yeh so.....when were you gonna TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOON LIGHT SLIVERS!?"

Would have been awesome, but there's actually an in game reason why you can’t. When Aylin kills Lorroakan she actually breaks her paladin oath and gets disowned by her mother selune

Was it really her Oath though? Someone said that Selune stops favoring her because one of her Selune themed buffs disappears after ^^ (I just don't know if they planned this out entirely.. I guess we'll never know until someone asks a dev)

@@zachariz1490 no I don’t think so cause if you side with Dame Aylin and kill loroikan she loses her oath no matter what but i don’t understand is why. The video shown is if you don’t side with her.
It’s not her losing her oath. That’s just a theory, never confirmed. She’s sad because she doesn’t get satisfaction from killing Loroakan, and instead just still feels upset by his actions. It’s heartbreaking but not oath breaking.

My game must’ve glitched out, they showed up and fought on my side for the lorraokan fight, immediately cast globe of invulnerability on gale and I smited lorroakan in like 2 hits, easiest fight ever 😂

12-144 is just 12d12 by the way. Adding this because the game very much still works on tabletop rules, so knowing the dice for tabletop conversion might be useful to *someone*.

Convenient she only ever uses it against the player. I'll be sure to remember that the next time I get a chance to stab Aylin in the chest.
And the fight they choose to unleash it in isn't the one that involves the sister at war with Aylin's mother. It's not at any point when dealing with the heinous creature that is Balthazaar. Its not while fighting a god's chosen, or fighting a god himself.
Its not even during the final battle for the fate of the entire world.
No, its because Tav tries to hand her over to some random shmuck in a wizard tower too squishy to hunt her down himself.
Aylin didn't even express this kind of rage and power toward the people who literally kidnapped and tormented Shadowheart for decades.
She could have just not gone to him at all and he wouldn't have known the difference.

Legit didn't know this. She never makes it out of the Shadowfell on any run I do, Tav or Durge. She's too evil to live.
Funny how Selune helps her if you turn her in but rejects her for killing him if you help her…

Markoheshkir staff is a good staff but yeah even orin and gortash boss fight is far easier than loroakan, we deserve more than a staff
@@quanlinglingdingle6122I just beat loroakan without him getting a single turn in honour mode. I took 4 damage over the whole fight. Loroakan is too easy

Loroakon is a joke, and an obvious joke at that. The ‘reward’ is your punishment for actually going through with it.
Ok so she's able to summon back up if you turn her in ok I'm doing it now cuz when I first fought the final boss she only brought her self and she could do this yea I'm selling this dam angel.

For example scorching ray, or ray of sickness
Why couldn’t she summon them for the actual bloody fight?! I always do this section without the Nightsong because it’s so much harder if you don’t do a surprise shot!
She broke her oath BECAUSE she decided to fight and kill Lorroakan, mate. That was the whole monologue about her feeling the emptiness of losing something important afterwards. Her fighting him in that way wasn’t what Selunè wanted. It wasn’t right. That’s why the slivers didn’t join her.

she can barely hit in combat, she gets killed so easily, she made Kethric Thorm attack us even after we managed to talk him out of it and she NEVER called in her back up in our favor

But at the same time I hate how Isobel later gets herself killed because she thought that she could beat Lorroakhan on her own. Wish I could just lie to Isobel so she doesn’t end up dying.

It's the only way to defeat both of them, and the 3-way battle is way more exciting than options A and B.

Had no clue they added this when I was trying to take the path of least resistance when it used to just be her at 1 HP.
Thank God for my Eldritch throw build, those things and that fight was the most danger I've been in for a while.

Losing Damon in last light and possibly Jaheira and making the assault on Moonrise 3 times harder without the harpers over killing Aylin is insane
@braules I accidentally got all the Harper's in last light turned undead my first run, so I didn't actually have anything to measure difficulty against. Jaheira was killed by the summoned demons, I didn't learn she was a companion until later, though. I dealt with moonrise with Wyll, Minthara, and shadowheart.

@@brendanl7675 nah the big Fight usually Kills jaheira who "heroically" Jumps in Panther Form into 5 Guys and dies.... Also it saves the lives of Harper's and Flaming Fists.
I made lorroakan not be able move at all, with silence, black hole, And web spell.

@@kairaaitken938 Aylin is an oath of Vengeance paladin. Killing Lorroakan the way she did was personal, way too far, and fueled by her personal rage over her trauma instead of true vengeance. If we betray Aylin, Selunè blesses the fight as it is true vengeance at that point. Being betrayed by your character and aiming to kill you would align with her oath at that point
@@fenn__fenn but Lorroakan had to be killed lest he find out we lied about her being alive so really it's preemptive self-defence and as an oath of vengeance paladin I have killed *yellow dot* NPCs just because I could, and not even for revenge and NOT had my oath broken. So Lorroakan who would have been a red dot for Aylin shouldn't have broken her oath. I'm starting to believe the game just didn't want to make the boss fight against Lorroakan too easy and it was done for battle balance reasons rather than actual story reasons that are key word **BELIEVABLE**
@@kairaaitken938 don’t get me wrong, I don’t understand Selunè sometimes but the DnD gods were kind of made to be a little selfish and one dimensional to show that blind belief can be a bad thing. But for Oath of Vengeance paladins, you must give the correct “vengeance” and you have to do it for what you believe to be justice for not only your morals, but for the person you swore your oath to. It’s more morally grey than Oath of Devotion paladins and etc, but Aylin executed Larroakan, literally snapped his spine, out of personal enjoyment and her trauma. If all Vengeance paladins made their choices out of personal interest and enjoyment, then there’d be no oath to swear for. At that point you’d just be a dude in a suit carrying a shield who beats people up lol. They still have to swear an oath to someone or something. That structure sets up why Aylin broke her oath after breaking Larroakan’s back
