Wow!! This was a really amazing break it down! Please please do more of these, it is in incredibly handy to see how other people conceptualize and execute their designs like this! And seeing the slot counts on the kitchens is super handy to let people factor that into the overall concept work.
This is so helpful. I am so proud of my new apartment. It's all mine, but I find myself standing inside the empty room an get overwhelmed with what to do. So much to choose from.
I am not too proud to admit that because the preview function always shows the brick side first, I just now realized that the red brick counter has all those neat details on the back! (Why have I never spun one around??) Either way, useful video! I've been workshopping kitchenette ideas for my little studio apartment build (in an apartment, no less, so no floating bookshelves for me...)
A lot of these designs are from the FF14 housing community and we're unable to show piece by piece through the housing menu like we have done in the past with tutorial videos, nor do we have a space to build and recreate. We hope these ideas help in the mean time and we look to improve on things in the future as we go along!
chocobo counter an item as long as a Van length, they take a tip of one corner of it to make a kitchen sink? this is insane. Edit: no wonder every 2nd or 3rd M/L plot looks like an apartment :)
I really like these designs, but having to destroy an entire basement just to get this effect means that the developers need to give us more housing items that we can get creative with. It's too much to ask to destroy 70% of the housing space to create a small room that most people will never see unless they watch it on a video
We'd love more options for lower cabinets etc! But disagree that its too much to cut off the basement. Cutting off sections of the house doesnt just allow you to hide the extra bits, it also means you dont have to spread items out across an entire house which lets you pack more detail into one area. Most of us do it because we enjoy the creativity it allows you to have when you can look at items beyond their intended purpose. Even with the soon-to-come slot increase, this will still happen. No one is forced to do it this way of course! Different strokes for different folks, whether it's seen or not :)

Such big brain kitchens! The Temple Knight idea as the stove's burners is simply genius.
You are all amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your genius with all of us.

LOVED THIS! Thank you! Would love to see more.
Would love to see eventually not just room categories, but theming (ie Japanese theming, etc). Wonderful idea!
I like this idea!
love this, great job!!!
I loved this! I enjoy looking at builder's housing and always catch myself asking how did they do that? this was great!
I love his voice and this guide. Thanks!
Wow! These are fantastic!
Whoa. Ashen Bride's kitchen is literally grandma's.
Sometimes it's the least obvious stuff I want to know, such as roof beams, door and window surrounds, different walls, custom doors etc.
i love love love this, thank you so much for this!
may i request bedrooms if possible, those are always so difficult for some reason!
Aussie Aussie Aussie!
It'd actually be great if you can break it down step-by-step to show us how they're put together.

Wish less of these had sunken items. I'm in an apartment/ FC chamber so can't do any of these for the counters lol
what's used for the fridge in Ashen bride one ?

That sounds perfect!
thank you so much its so hard to get the actual item names.
I wonder when you loft items from basement, what do you with the part sticking out still? Looks horrible and I can't figure how to cover it.
What I would like to know is... HOW DO YOU MIX GLASS JARS AND GLADE CUPBOARD AND GET TILING! My mind is blown.
What are the planted pots on the table at 3:15?
The potted plants are from the apothecary's workbench
Bedrooms please

Sorry I need to add this: we need things we can do in an apartment. Most of the things showcase here you cannot do without a two or three-story house
