We want to add that Faerie Peach's window also includes eastern indoor ponds at the bottom of the window, in addition to the waterfalls. Sorry for not including it at the time, we were unable to visit it in person and had old footage to look at. Thanks for understanding!
@@midorialexandros It's because its actually turned around backwards! The backside of the model does not have cracks on it which is why it was the old go to for modern window builds. Hope that helps ^^
@@luckylucii262 Not quite. Both sides have cracks on the Cracked Arch Window. There is also an "uncracked" version called Simple Arched Window. @midorialexandros But in this case it's a Cracked Arch Window pushed into a White Screen, which is why you're unable to see cracks. Only the Cracked version is dyable. And the White Screen is dyed grey to give it a stormy look. We have a full tutorial on how to do this here: ua-cam.com/video/cdS4ogpN8C4/v-deo.html
I'd LOVE to see a break-it-down or overall guide on how to create floor plans. That's what I struggle with the most is determining how to lay out the overall floor plan to accommodate rooms and movement.
What i've learned from ffxiv housing is that the game really needs to add more item slots. The windows look beautiful, but use so many items for just one wall.
Or Square could implement real windows that people actually want for only a few item slots. Give them adjustable lighting parameters like in the Portrait Adventure Plates so we don't need to cram slots with Queen's Rests, Assorted Candles, etc.
Nora's build is so breath-taking! A true example of what you can really do in game with housing. Of course, all the submissions here are fantastic in their own way, Nora's is just so creative and unique!
These are so great, and really showcase what a difference lighting and integration of color theory can make in a design. I'd love to see a BID vid for different door concepts - while obviously not everyone puts their door where the actual exit is, I'd love to see some of the creative doors demystified. Thanks for making these HGXIV team, they're very educational and inspiring.
Amazing work disecting those builds. My brain overflows with things I wanna try out. But there is one thing I´d like to see. Room builds for Private Rooms/Apartments. Since the Item count in them is so extremely low (100 I think) Many of the amazing designs are either to enormous or take too much capacity. It is often, when I try new things, that I run into max items very fast and then I have one part of the room extremely cool looking, while the rest is just the normal room :/
Tnx, i'd like to see more of these window display break-it-downs, it's always a visual focus when entering a house. Ofc I ain't about to farm 50 queen's rests any time soon, haha

I wish someone would do an actual breakdown tutorial on how to do Astra's windows I've tried and can't figure it out the white screens are too bulky and don't let light through
The white screens are floated from the floor below to hide the curved section. They do let like through though! You might have the windows set too far back or in the wrong direction. The reason to use White Screens is because you can sink windows into them just a little bit while maintaining their forward-facing position (forward-facing is important if you want sunrays, since you lose them if they're facing backwards). Ideally you only want to sink them in just far enough so they're *just* hidden inside. It's also worth noting that no light comes through on the North wall of the house. This isn't a fault of the White Screen, it's just how the sunrays path in houses. Hope this helps! P.S. If you get stuck and want further help, feel free to join our discord! We have a channel for exactly that purpose with a bunch of people ready to troubleshoot with you.
I wish there would be better ways to Match the windows inside of the house with the windows outside of the house. As example I build this new asian house (sukuya something) and while the outside windows are squares, the inside windows are suddenly round. 😅 And it wouldn't be making much sense to build a lovely forest scene for the windows, if you in the Uldah district. But I didn't found any window show case which would match more the Uldah region.
The windows on the inside of the default walls do match the outside, if thats what you wanted to go with. But theres also the Fool's Threshold which is a Doman themed window that matches too. You'll find houses of all kinds of themes with themed windows to match. You dont have to limit yourself to what the view is in the district your house is in. You said already put the Sukiya-Zukuri exterior on, so you're already outside of Oasis territory anyway! If you're really set on matching Goblet, just about any of these windows can be adapted just by using different foliage/greenery or different coloured skies etc. Experiment a little!
Welcome to housing! Sorry for the delay in response. Nora built this up off the natural floor (in the air), So there bed platform is made using Low Bookshelves with Simple Baskets sitting inside it. The rest of the bookcase is hidden below the Wooden Loft, that acts as the floor. The bed is the Double Feather bed. The headboard are two Manor Fireplaces and theres a few Matching Cushions sitting on top/near the pillows. Hope this helps!
Does anybody know how Nora got the metallic looking counter tops and the wall next to the window? I thought they were more lockers but they're just too skinny.
The trick is Chaka built this in the air, and made a false floor! That way you can raise some trees up and leave some on the floor to create different heights!
The white screens in most of these builds are floated from the floor below but, in Nora Rappy's case, the white screen is set normally on the floor while the rest of the room is lifted in the air.
Hiya Tony, implying you get no information from any of our videos seems a bit extreme, but the point of this style of video is to serve as inspiration for creating your own windows and show a breakdown of the items used to make these windows, not a full tutorial on how to create each one. Our discord community has an entire channel dedicated to breakdowns made by us and people in the community from their own builds. We also have a help channel for anyone needing further info on how it's constructed or the specific glitches needed to achieve these. You're welcome to join or ask specific how-to questions here. As a side note, we share who made each build both on screen and in voice over!
