    Thank you a bunch for explaining all this so well. I was researching designs the last days but found mostly "walkthroughs", which are nice of course, but do not help to understand how they are done. So, thanks again for clearing a lot of things up :)

It's definitely my favourite part of the game. Can be as frustrating as raid prog, but also feels just as rewarding - to me at least LOL

    Can you make a video on how to make the water move like yours?

    • @ellienet
      @ellienet  Рік тому

      It's just one item, so I only mention it briefly in the video but at 10:38 I mention there's a Mahogany Aqueduct floated up from the floor below and positioned in front of the Ice Partitions. The water reflection is projected automatically - though at this point in time it shows up for PC players only. If it doesnt show up check to make sure you have "Glare" turned on in your graphic settings. The strength/brightness of the water is tied to the day cycle, so that cant be altered. It's brighter during the day and more dim at night.

      @@ellienet We are a pleasure house so, it should have lots of rooms! Main floor is the buffet. Downstairs is the bar and games room. Clara's room is the employee kitchen. Hubby's room is his office. His alt is the accountant so his room is based around that. My elezen's room is the bathhouse/spa. My highlander's room is the dancer room....still got more rooms to do. I think one of them will be a gpose room.
      I thought using the spare rooms, since my alts can have their own apartments and my main has a house, would be nice to get around the limited space and bring more to the FC. ^^

    2024 here, Dawntrail Sadness Report question: How does this build hold up with the current light changes? Im having a lot of issues with the 'wavey light pattern' thats displayed over the ice partitions in my builds now. Have you found a way around it or?

    • @ellienet
      @ellienet  Місяць тому

      It broke for me too :( I actually just got so frustrated trying to find a way to make it work again so I removed the aqueduct all together lol. I played with some of my settings so it was showing, but it was so faint - nothing like before though. Bit of a bummer.

    How do u get the ice partition to be so low? I bought it and it’s all the way to the roof

    • @ellienet
      @ellienet  Рік тому

      Hiya! Yes they're full sized partitions when placed on the floor, so the Ice Partitions, like many of the items in this build, are floated up from the floor below (the basement in this case) so you are only seeing the top part of them.

  • @kais6936

    love the video and inspiration. 1 question though when you put in the new simple sink how did you get it to where the bookshelfs we
    ren't clipping through it to show the inside of the sink instead of bookshelf top? Love you vids btw

    • @ellienet
      @ellienet  Рік тому +1

      Oh good question! I ended up swapping the bookcases at the front out for 3 wood slat partitions. 3 lined up on their side looks like a solid wood piece and that way they dont clip into the sink! Another common thing to do is to put a steel locker in the sink instead. It makes the sink a little more shallow, but you can dye it to match the rest of the sink, so overall pretty seamless.

    Hey! Amazing build, I absolutely love it! Just one question, how did you go about your flooring? I noticed the grain and color on the flooring changed on the deck, I was just wondering what you did to accomplish that. I'm new to house decorating so I'm sorry if this is a basic question ^^;

    • @ellienet
      @ellienet  Рік тому

      Thank you! All questions are totally welcomed, new or not! For the flooring, I kept it pretty basic though. I used Flooring Mats. They're dyable, so on the balcony I just dyed them grey and rotated them 90 degrees, so the wood grain pattern went the other way. If I had of made this house more recently though, I'd probably use the Flagstone Lofts for the balcony instead!

    How long did it take you to do this and are you doing this on console or pc? This looks so nice but it would probably drive me crazy on ps4

    • @ellienet
      @ellienet  Рік тому

      I build incredibly slow lol I can definitely rebuild it much more quickly - I swapped out the phasmascapes for the night-versions when filming my original walkthrough video. I tend to just build as inspiration strikes and I like to take lots of breaks so I don't feel burnout that a lot of housing people often complain about.
      And I do it all on PC. I find controller super awkward, but it's just because I'm not well practiced on it lol I have a few friends that are console builders and do absolutely gorgeous work - all of what I do is possible on console too! (the only thing thats a limitation of the system itself is the water projection due to a graphics thing)

      LOL at least there's a method to the madness! And I totally get it. I would LOVE to have all the space used, but current slot limit vs space doesn't really allow for the heavy glitching while using more space - somethings gotta give.

    • @Luxt3r

      I just started furnishing my medium house and I'm definitely locking the basement looking how many slots I've already spent on 1 of the floors with just some very minor glitching
      now imagine if they doubled the current amount of slots in every house
