I have questions… I have a nice Bluetooth headset that gives decent mic audio. Should I connect it to my Xbox or my gaming laptop? I want to make sure I can communicate with other players via Xbox party or in game chat. If I connect my headset to my Xbox, will stream labs pick up my voice audio and party chat of others? Or will I need to have a separate mic connected to my laptop?

Great video, the only issue I’m having is getting my party chat to come through. Any quick tips or can you provide an update tutorial setup. Seems like the companion app changed a bit since your video.

@@ambers6148 try joining the party on a second account using the game bar (win+g on your keyboard) you might need to enable the game bar in settings but once you join you can mute the 2nd accounts mic and everyone's party chat will come through. Of course you can also mute your main account so people don't hear you twice if you're using an external mic for streamlabs itself. However I do wanna note that it will put the Party audio on the same channel as the game audio

When I try to set up the window capture for the Xbox on obs the Xbox link doesn’t show up only ( stream labs Desktop and settings for window capture

this really helped i was thinking of streaming through remote please but had no idea you earned urself a new sub
Ive been using this method for a couple months now and it works great, so thank you very much for that. But recently I have been having trouble with my in game voice chat all going through my computer instead of my controller and headset. Even when i plug my headset in and turn my mic off, it is still picking up my voice in game to my teammates. This started within the last couple days.
I'm having an issue where my bluetooth headset's mic can only be utilized for an audio input source on OBS which leaves my stream okay since they can hear me (via my Stealth 700 gen 2), but my friends I have in my xbox party can't hear me. If I connect my headset to my xbox before launching remote play, then my friends audio doesn't go through to stream and the only way my audio goes through to stream is via my iMac's microphone. I'm not sure how I can use my one headset w a mic as both an audio input source and a microphone for xbox party.

@@TaimorGaming i think you can get a 1080p resolution on your screen. But the stream quality you can share more than likely depends on your PC and Internet connection

Hey brother great video as usual, just subscribed. Im trying to make my way up to your status. I just ordered the microphone you suggested, but what about webcams?
I have kind of a strange setup as i mostly want to stream virtual pinball from my machine i built. I downloaded OBS. Had it figured out kind of for the most part. The issue is my pinball table has 4 screens, then if i want to film me thats 5. Obs automatically puts the chat etc on my backbox screen of my pinball table. Is there a way around this so people dont see my streaming screen?
For a webcam i use my samsung galaxy fold cell phone by wirelessly sitting it on top of my other arcade machine.
I guess what im asking is should i be running obs off something like my laptop so the actual obs screen isnt showing during my stream?
Id rather stream from my pc with a ryzen9 5900X and a rtx3090FE. Or is there a way that even though i see the obs software running on my second screen the people dont see that on thejr stream?

I know this is 2 years late but I've never thought of using remote play like this before this is so clutch. I've been stressing about how to record gameplay videos on my series x with no capture card and even potentially streaming and this helped so much. Excited for my first videos this summer, will def be reviewing how to do this and use streamlabs prior to that

Thank you for the tutorial! This is very helpful as I'm now able to stream my Xbox gameplay.
I am struggling with one part, which is the Xbox party audio..
When I stream my gameplay through my laptop, the gameplay audio works fine, and I can hear the game sounds clearly-but when I listen to hear my Xbox party chat through OBS studio, I cannot hear it.
I'm not sure if there's a problem on my end, because I checked around all of my audio settings and the gameplay audio works just fine. (Maybe I simply just cannot stream the party chat.?)

@@zcrazzez953 yeah i was streaming contra collection from my xbox on twitch awhile back and it was working fine. make sure you fullscreen it and connect the window to the xbox app like he shows in properties of that window . hope this helps!

Great video! I have a question because nobody on UA-cam that I've found has a video explaining my set-up. If I have a Elgato HD60S with the Elgato chat link cable I have been trying to figure out how to hear my alerts through my headset and still hear my in-game chat on my stream basically having all the audio coming through my headset so I dont miss my alerts while still capturing my teammates....someone told me the only way to hear my teammates would be to plug the chat link cable into the LINE IN PORT on my Elgato but then if I do that I cant hear my Desktop PC alerts I have no idea how to hook everything up I have the Astro A10 wired headphones with the Razor x mic for commentary and the ElgatoHD60S and the Chat Link cable????????? Please help if you can I've searched everywhere for a video on this....its so frustrating
