    Such a great tutorial. I like that you explained why you changed certain settings and what they do rather than just telling us what numbers to type in

    Hey, thanks for such a wonderful content man, am really learning a lot from you. You make Embergen seem bit easier to work with. Can you please cover car tire smoke when drifting or doing a donut. Thanks.

    Awesome tutorial! thank you
    I'm curious about the size of the simulation affecting the speed of the animation, would it not cause a mismatch when exporting the vdb back to the original animation in blender? Or do you just grab your simulation and newly-timed animation from Embergen back into your render program of choice?

      That's why you link the position at the end before exporting, if you do that everything should linger up like magic.
      You might need to tweak the scale but everything else will use your original fbx,'s file for data

    Is it possible to make wings affect volume, so that the clouds for example would fly of the wings when dragon fly? Can you make tutorial about this if you can?

      It does affect the volume be default I believe but you can adjust how much.

    Hello, is there a way to parent the domain to the emitter so that I can have my character move across the scene without being limited with the domain?

    • @RoyalsAndRogues
      @RoyalsAndRogues  13 днів тому

      Yes, check "Import Control" under Simulation node> Domain> Import Control then you'll have an option to link your imported model's transform to the domain.
      The next update should have "sparse" sims and the bounding box won't matter which will be awesome.

    hello, i could need some help , is it possible to use an imported geometry only as an Effector und not as an Emittor. I want to manipulate an fire emittor with an imported Geometry but the Geometry himself should not burn. but rather it should effect the emittor with his geometry, i hope this was clear, my english is ugly sorry, , sadly i cant find an option like that

    • @RoyalsAndRogues

      Link your imported geometry node to the collider shape node. Done!

    Hey Alec! Love your channel!
    Ive been going thru your tuts and I cant seem to get particles from Embergen to import into C4D. I've tried everything! Is this a known problem or am I the problem! 😭 They import well into Blender but not C4D. Losing my mind tyring to get it to work. If you've gotten them to import, I would greatly appreciate any advise!

    • @RoyalsAndRogues
      @RoyalsAndRogues  10 місяців тому +1

      Working on this... It's tricky as C4D for some insane reason doesn't support ABC sequences, there is a python script running around for it that I have gotten to work, will make a quick tut on this soon.
      If you want a walk through DM me and I can get it to you sooner than the tut.

    I did one nuclear explosion on embergen, and was the first try, when I render it in VDB, it came out over a 300GB just for one explosion, is there another way to make any fire/explosion in embergen, and export to blender, without being that heavy??

    • @RoyalsAndRogues
      @RoyalsAndRogues  2 місяці тому

      That's BIG file mine are typically 5-15GB.
      What's your voxel count/size?
      Do you need the sim itself to be that big?
