Very nice collection guys! The caespitosa is really cool!!! Glad you put the arrow head with them! They have such a long history with native American & native Mexican tribes it's only natural to have an artifact like that with them!! I'm so glad to see my little babies are doing well!!! I knew they would with you guys! And yes it does take a very long time for them to grow up! And it's funny how some individuals grow differently. Of my two oldest, one turned into a cluster of 6 heads and the other stayed single. They are 39 years old this year!!! Thanks SOOOOO very much for the shout out guys!!! You two are amazing friends!!!! Also all your little seedlings are doing great!!!!! Thanks again guys!!!! From Morris park in the Ozarks to across the Emerald isle, have a great weekend!!!!!

WOW at your 6 headed 39 year old Loph Clyde, and it really is so amazing how they all have their own little individual characters and we are so in love with the beautiful arrowhead you gifted us too, it goes perfect with the Lophs, and the baby ones we are growing from the seeds you gifted to us are sooooooooo cute with their baby spines on them, it will be wonderful when I can take them out of the baggies very soon, thanks so much Clyde for your fantastic friendship and support and for all of your wonderful comments and for watching and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Deb and all the pets and plants lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle to Morris Park in the Ozarks for a sunny Sunday today XXXX

Nice representation of this unusual cactus. I find these plants widely trouble free and robust for most of the year. They certainly don't seem to mind the cool humid conditions in winter and very rarely rot if generously doused with water during hot weather either. Overall, an excellent all rounder:- and one of the few cactus with very few or no spines at all. Mature and old specimens like yours are impressive when looked after well and most have that glistening lovely blue sheen. Mine is still juvenile at only 2cm x2cm across. I will look after it well, and in about 25 years:- hopefully it will look as good as yours and Hans's. Cheers!

So happy you love these Lophophora cacti too, and so true they really are easy to look after and very robust plants to grow, they can definitely take the more higher humidity levels in UK and Ireland compared to many of the other desert dwellers, and I bet your Loph will be big in the future too :-D thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle for a sunny Sunday XXXX

This was really interesting. I have 5 cacti that I inherited from my grandma over 45 years ago but have no idea what they are! I will now endeavour to identify them out of curiosity. I have never really done anything to them except occasionally give them a sprinkling of water but have to admit that years ago I'd sometimes forgotten them for weeks at a time when I'd been working away from home. Watching your videos has given me a new perspective on my plants. Thank you.

Do you have any recommendation for max peyote seeds per square foot when assuming a germination rate of 40-50%? I am new to peyote but from what I have read they like company. I would be using perlite + potting compost (heat-treated) and a bag method most likely. Thanks.

some people may complain that they don't get to see "the green" of their plants when using DE, however, with DE you can see the new growth and really get an idea of how fast your plants are growing. and that's rather exciting, even if you can't see "the true green" of the plant. and its very calming to know that the mites cannot touch the plants as long as they are dusted with DE. i use a wee paint brush to apply the DE. that way I can work the DE deep down into the plants' crevices where the mites like to hide.
